## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Career Site Jobs Scraper – Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee & Personio

**Paste any company careers page, ATS job-board link, or just a company name – get every open job as clean, normalized JSON/CSV/Excel.** The Actor auto-detects which applicant tracking system (ATS) the company uses, calls that ATS's **official public job-board API**, and returns one consistent schema across 8 platforms, including **salary ranges, remote flag, department, post date and full description**.

Built-in **"only new jobs" monitoring** means you can schedule it daily and pay only for jobs you haven't seen before.

### Why this Actor?

| | This Actor | Typical single-ATS scrapers |
|---|---|---|
| Input | Careers URL, ATS URL, **company name**, or `platform:slug` | Exact ATS slug only |
| Platforms | 8 ATSs, one schema | 1 platform each |
| Salary | Structured salary from ATS **+ pay-range extraction from description text** (US/UK/EU pay-transparency) | Usually missing |
| Monitoring | Only-new-jobs mode, multiple named monitors | Rare |
| Failures | One bad company never kills the run; per-company report in `RUN_SUMMARY` | Whole run fails |
| Login / cookies / browser | None – public JSON APIs only, fast and cheap | Often headless browsers |

### Supported platforms

| ATS | Example input |
|---|---|
| Greenhouse | `https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`, `greenhouse:stripe` |
| Lever | `https://jobs.lever.co/spotify` |
| Ashby | `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/notion` |
| Workable | `https://apply.workable.com/huggingface` |
| SmartRecruiters | `https://jobs.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup` |
| Recruitee | `https://bunq.recruitee.com` |
| Personio | `https://acme.jobs.personio.de` |
| Workday | `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite` |
| **Any careers page** | `https://www.figma.com/careers/` → detects the embedded ATS |
| **Company name** | `Ramp` → probes 6 ATSs, picks the board with the most jobs |

### Use cases

- **Job aggregators & niche job boards** – fill your board with fresh jobs from hundreds of target companies every day.
- **Recruiters & staffing agencies** – watch target accounts and get alerted the day a matching role opens.
- **Sales intelligence / lead gen** – hiring = buying signal. Track which companies open roles in "Data", "Security", "RevOps"…
- **Market & salary research** – collect pay-transparency ranges by role, location and company.
- **Job seekers & career coaches** – one feed of remote or location-specific roles from your dream companies.
- **AI agents / MCP** – a single tool call "get open jobs at {company}" with a predictable schema.

### Input

```json
{
  "companies": ["https://www.figma.com/careers/", "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify", "Ramp", "workday:nvidia/wd5/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite"],
  "keywords": ["engineer", "data"],
  "excludeKeywords": ["intern"],
  "locations": ["Philippines", "Singapore", "Remote"],
  "postedWithinDays": 14,
  "onlyNewJobs": true,
  "monitorId": "apac-eng",
  "includeDescription": true,
  "maxJobsPerCompany": 500,
  "maxTotalJobs": 2000
}
```

All filters are optional. `maxTotalJobs` is a hard **cost cap**.

### Output (one item per job)

```json
{
  "id": "ashby:ramp:34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245",
  "platform": "ashby",
  "company": "Ramp",
  "title": "Security Engineer, Cloud",
  "department": "Engineering",
  "team": "Backend",
  "location": "New York, NY (HQ)",
  "allLocations": ["New York, NY (HQ)", "Remote (Canada)", "Remote (US)", "Miami, FL"],
  "isRemote": true,
  "workplaceType": "Hybrid",
  "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "salaryMin": 211400,
  "salaryMax": 290600,
  "salaryCurrency": "USD",
  "salaryInterval": "1 YEAR",
  "salaryText": "$211.4K – $290.6K • Offers Equity",
  "salarySource": "ats",
  "postedAt": "2026-04-07T17:12:35.753+00:00",
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-…",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-…/application",
  "descriptionText": "Ramp is the financial operations platform…",
  "isNew": true,
  "inputCompany": "Ramp",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-11-05T10:46:33Z",
  "fingerprint": "a1b2c3d4e5f60718"
}
```

`salarySource` is `ats` (structured field from the ATS) or `description` (parsed from the pay-range sentence). `fingerprint` (title+location+company) helps de-duplicate reposts across boards. A per-company report (`platform`, `detectedVia`, counts, error) is saved to the `RUN_SUMMARY` record in the key-value store.

### Pricing (pay per result)

**$1.50 per 1,000 jobs** saved to the dataset ($0.0015 per job). No start fee, no monthly rent.

- Errors, companies not found and (in only-new mode) already-seen jobs are **free**.
- Example: monitor 200 companies daily, ~150 new jobs/day ≈ **$6.75/month**.
- Full snapshot of a 760-job board (e.g. Stripe) ≈ $1.14.

### Scheduling a new-jobs feed

1. Set `onlyNewJobs: true` and a `monitorId`.
2. Create an Apify Schedule (e.g. daily 08:00).
3. Connect the dataset to Slack/Email/Google Sheets/Zapier/Make via Apify integrations or webhooks.

### FAQ

**Is this legal?** The Actor only reads the public job-board endpoints that the ATS vendors provide for publishing jobs on career sites (e.g. Greenhouse Job Board API, Lever Postings API, Ashby Posting API). No login, no personal data of candidates. You are responsible for how you use the data.

**A company was not found.** Pass the exact careers page or job-board URL. If the company uses an ATS that is not supported yet (iCIMS, Taleo, SuccessFactors…), open an issue and we'll add it.

**Do I need proxies?** No. Proxy support is available if you run very large lists.

**Workday post dates** are relative on Workday ("Posted 3 Days Ago"); with `includeDescription` the exact start date is fetched.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One per line. Accepts: a company careers page (https://stripe.com/jobs), an ATS board URL (https://jobs.lever.co/spotify, https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite), a bare company name (Ramp) which is probed on the supported ATSs, or an explicit 'platform:slug' (greenhouse:stripe, workday:nvidia/wd5/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite).

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title/department/team contains ANY of these (case-insensitive). Empty = all jobs.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these (e.g. intern, senior).

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location contains ANY of these, e.g. 'Philippines', 'London', 'Remote'.

## `remoteMatchesAnyLocation` (type: `boolean`):

If on, remote jobs are kept even when their location does not match.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs flagged or described as remote.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

0 = no date filter. Jobs without a post date are kept.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Remember job IDs between runs and output only jobs not seen before. Schedule the Actor daily for a new-jobs feed; you only pay for new jobs.

## `monitorId` (type: `string`):

Separate 'seen jobs' memory per monitor when you run several schedules.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Plain-text description. For SmartRecruiters and Workday this needs one extra request per job.

## `includeDescriptionHtml` (type: `boolean`):

Include description HTML.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Max jobs per company.

## `maxTotalJobs` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap across all companies. 0 = unlimited.

## `probeCompanyNames` (type: `boolean`):

For inputs that are plain names, try likely slugs on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee and SmartRecruiters.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Companies in parallel.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. The public ATS APIs normally do not need a proxy.
