## Pricing

from $2.45 / 1,000 products

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Taobao & Tmall Product Scraper — Prices, Sellers & Ratings

Get **Taobao and Tmall product data** from item URLs, item IDs or keywords: current price and reference price, promotion label, seller DSR scores and credit level, rating breakdown, category, ships-from location, images. **No login, no cookies, no browser** — fast HTTP against Taobao's own public, server-rendered catalogue.

**You pay per result delivered. Failed or removed items are never charged.**

### What you get

**Products** (`type: "product"`) — one row per item:

| Group | Fields |
|---|---|
| Identity | `itemId`, `platform` (`taobao` / `tmall`), `url`, `title`, `titleTruncated` |
| Price | `price` (current, CNY), `originalPrice`, `hasRangePrice`, `priceNote`, `referencePrice` + `promoLabel` (when known) |
| Seller | `shopName`, `shopId`, `sellerId`, `sellerType` (B = Tmall business, C = Taobao individual), `sellerCreditLevel`, `shopOpenedAt`, `shopItemCount`, `shopNewItemCount`, `shopUrl` |
| Seller quality | `dsr.desc`, `dsr.serv`, `dsr.post` — Taobao's three 1-5 service scores, with comparison to the industry |
| Ratings | `ratingGoodPercent`, `ratingNeutralPercent`, `ratingBadPercent`, `ratingGoodCount`, `ratingBadCount` (Taobao items), `latestReview` (text, score, date, variant bought) |
| Category & logistics | `categoryId`, `rootCategoryId`, `categoryPath`, `location` (ships from), `freeShipping`, `paymentMethods` |
| Content | `mainImage`, `images`, and for many items `description`, `keywords`, `sellingPoints` |

**Search results** (`type: "listing"`) — the first 20 results of a keyword: full seller title, current price, reference price, promotion label, shop, category, image, total number of results on Taobao.

### Input

```json
{
  "products": [
    "https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=765833709683",
    "https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=1081620458327",
    "1003783113480"
  ],
  "keywords": ["蓝牙耳机"],
  "fetchDetailsForKeywords": false,
  "language": "zh-TW"
}
```

- `products`: Taobao / Tmall / world.taobao.com / a.m.taobao.com URLs or bare item IDs.
- `keywords`: optional. Turn on `fetchDetailsForKeywords` to get a full product record for every search result.
- `language`: `zh-TW` (Traditional) or `zh-CN` (Simplified) for text fields.

### Typical uses

- Price monitoring of Tmall flagship stores and Taobao sellers.
- Seller due diligence for sourcing agents: credit level, shop age, DSR scores, rating breakdown.
- Product research: what sells for a keyword, at what price, from which province.

### How much does it cost?

Pay per event: you pay only for results delivered. Platform usage (compute, residential proxy) is included. Failed, blocked or removed items are never charged.

| What you get | Event | Price | Per 1,000 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product record | `product` | $0.0035 | $3.50 |
| Search result | `listing` | $0.0015 | $1.50 |
| Actor start | `apify-actor-start` | $0.00005 per GB of memory, once per run | — |

Example: 100 product URLs ≈ **$0.35**; one keyword (20 results) ≈ **$0.03**.

Set a maximum cost per run when you start the Actor (Console or API): it stops cleanly when the limit is reached.

### FAQ

**Do I need an account on the marketplace?**
No. The Actor reads public pages and endpoints: no login, no cookies, no phone number.

**Why are there no SKUs, stock or sales counts?**
Taobao shows them only to logged-in buyers, and this Actor never logs in. See *Limits* above.

**What currency are prices in?**
CNY (Chinese yuan).

**Simplified or Traditional Chinese?**
Both: set `language` to `zh-CN` or `zh-TW`. Prices and IDs are identical.

**Can I run it on a schedule or from my code?**
Yes. Schedule it in Apify Console, call it through the Apify API (JavaScript, Python, HTTP), or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n or Google Sheets. Export as JSON, CSV or Excel.

### Limits (read before buying)

- This Actor reads Taobao's **public catalogue**. Data that Taobao shows only to logged-in users is not included: **no SKU/variant matrix, no stock, no sales count, no full review list.**
- Tmall publishes shortened titles on its public pages. The Actor recovers the full seller title from the shop's public storefront when it can (about 40% of the shortened titles in our tests). `titleTruncated: true` marks the others. Titles from keyword search are always complete.
- Keyword search returns the **first 20 results** and only for keywords Taobao has indexed (common product words). Other keywords end without a charge.
- Residential proxies are used by default (US, Singapore, Japan exits).

Public marketplace data only, no personal data. Not affiliated with Alibaba Group.

### Chain it with

| Take this output field | Feed it to | Input field |
|---|---|---|
| `mainImage` | [1688 Image Search](https://apify.com/sourcelab/1688-image-search) | `imageUrls` (find the wholesale source of a Taobao product) |
| `title` (Chinese) | [1688 Wholesale Scraper](https://apify.com/sourcelab/1688-wholesale-scraper) | `keywords` |

Values are accepted exactly as this Actor outputs them (full URL or bare ID). In code, start the next Actor with the dataset of this run, or use an Apify integration (*Actor-to-Actor*) to chain them automatically.

# Actor input Schema

## `products` (type: `array`):

One per line: item.taobao.com / detail.tmall.com / world.taobao.com / a.m.taobao.com URLs, or bare numeric item IDs. Taobao and Tmall are both supported.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Optional. Each keyword returns the first 20 Taobao/Tmall results (full seller title, price, discount, shop, image). Chinese keywords give the best results.

## `maxResultsPerKeyword` (type: `integer`):

Taobao publishes the first 20 results of a keyword without login.

## `fetchDetailsForKeywords` (type: `boolean`):

Turn keyword results into full product records (seller scores, ratings, location, category) — billed as 'product' instead of 'listing'.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Taobao's public catalogue exists in both scripts. Prices and IDs are identical.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Parallel requests.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Taobao blocks datacenter IPs and mainland-China IPs on this surface. Residential proxies are required; the Actor rotates between US, Singapore and Japan exits.
