## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Hotels Scraper — prices, ratings, deals & price calendar

Extract hotel and vacation-rental listings from **Google Hotels** for any destination and dates: nightly prices, deals ("27% less than usual"), guest ratings, review counts, star class, review sentiment by aspect, amenities, check-in times, nearby places and photos.

**Fast and reliable**: no browser, just lightweight requests. Scrapes ~240 properties in about 10 seconds. Paginates deep (hundreds of properties per destination), retries with fresh IPs when Google pushes back, and **never fails because of a stale date**: past check-in dates are moved to tomorrow automatically, so your scheduled runs keep working.

### What makes it different

- 📅 **Price calendar mode**: set `priceCalendarDays: 30` to get every hotel's nightly rate for 30 consecutive check-in dates in a single run. Ideal for revenue management, rate shopping and finding the cheapest dates.
- 🌍 **Any currency, language and market**: USD, EUR, GBP, MXN, BRL… and the country (`gl`) that changes which prices Google shows.
- 🎯 **Filters**: hotels vs. vacation rentals, minimum rating, minimum stars, max price per night.
- 🧾 **Pay only for results**: you are charged per property saved, never for failed requests.

### Use cases

- Monitor competitor hotel rates daily (schedule the run + price calendar)
- Find the cheapest dates for a trip or a group booking
- Build travel comparison sites, dashboards or alerts
- Market research: supply, price levels and ratings by city or neighborhood
- Lead lists of hotels with websites, ratings and locations

### Input example

```json
{
  "queries": ["Lisbon", "hotels near Times Square", "Tulum"],
  "checkIn": "2026-12-10",
  "nights": 2,
  "adults": 2,
  "priceCalendarDays": 7,
  "currency": "USD",
  "maxResultsPerSearch": 100,
  "propertyType": "hotels",
  "minRating": 4
}
```

Each destination is searched once per check-in date (`queries × priceCalendarDays` searches).

### Output example

}
```
Download as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or connect to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n and webhooks.
### Field notes
- `pricePerNight` is the lead nightly price Google shows for the dates and guests (taxes may be excluded depending on the market). `estimatedTotalPrice` = nightly price × nights.
- Not every property has every field: Google omits star class for vacation rentals, and amenities or descriptions for some listings.
- `position` is the rank in Google's default ordering.
### Tips
- Blocks are rare, but if a run reports retries, choose the **RESIDENTIAL** group in *Proxy configuration*.
- For daily rate tracking, create a **Schedule** and keep `checkIn` empty (defaults to 14 days ahead) or use the price calendar.
- Results depend on `country` and `currency`: Google shows different providers and prices per market.
### Is it legal?
This actor collects publicly available listing data (prices, ratings, locations). It does not collect personal data. Make sure your use complies with applicable laws and the website's terms.
# Actor input Schema
## `queries` (type: `array`):
Cities, neighborhoods, landmarks or hotel names, exactly as you would type them in Google Hotels. One search per line.
## `checkIn` (type: `string`):
YYYY-MM-DD. Leave empty for 14 days from today. Past dates are moved to tomorrow automatically, so scheduled runs never break.
## `nights` (type: `integer`):
Length of stay.
## `adults` (type: `integer`):
Number of adult guests (1–10).
## `priceCalendarDays` (type: `integer`):
Repeat each search for N consecutive check-in dates (same length of stay). Use 30 to get a month of nightly rates for every hotel in one run.
## `maxResultsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):
Per destination and check-in date. Google usually returns up to several hundred per destination.
## `currency` (type: `string`):
ISO code, e.g. USD, EUR, GBP, MXN, BRL.
## `language` (type: `string`):
Google interface language (hl), e.g. en, es, pt, de, fr.
## `country` (type: `string`):
Google country (gl), e.g. us, gb, es, mx, br. Affects prices and providers shown.
## `propertyType` (type: `string`):
Keep hotels, vacation rentals, or both.
## `minRating` (type: `number`):
0–5, e.g. 4.2
## `minStars` (type: `integer`):
Only properties with at least this hotel class (1–5 stars).
## `maxPricePerNight` (type: `number`):
In the selected currency.
## `maxPhotos` (type: `integer`):
Photo URLs to include per property (0–10).
## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):
Parallel requests. Higher is faster; lower is gentler if you see blocks.
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Apify Proxy is recommended. If you see blocks, switch to the RESIDENTIAL group.
