## Pricing

from $14.00 / 1,000 funded company returneds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Funding Rounds Tracker: Recently Funded Companies (SEC Form D)

Find US companies that just raised money, days after they tell the SEC and often before any press release. This Funding Rounds Tracker reads SEC Form D filings and gives you a clean list of recently funded companies for sales prospecting, investor research and market monitoring.

**Investment funds, SPVs, real estate project entities and filings with nothing raised yet are filtered out by default**, so you get companies you can actually sell to. **You pay only for companies returned**: filings that fail your filters are free.

### What you get for each funded company

| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| `company`, `cik` | The company's legal name and SEC ID |
| `amountRaised` | Total amount sold so far, in USD, as reported |
| `offeringSize` | Size of the whole offering in USD. Empty when the filing says "Indefinite" |
| `amountRemaining` | Amount still to be sold, in USD |
| `investorCount` | How many investors have already invested |
| `minimumInvestment` | Smallest investment accepted, in USD |
| `industry` | The industry group chosen on Form D, such as Technology or Biotechnology |
| `yearFounded`, `foundedWithinFiveYears` | Founding year when the filing gives one |
| `entityType` | Corporation, LLC and so on |
| `revenueRange` | Revenue band, when not declined |
| `securities`, `exemptions` | What was sold (equity, debt, options) and the exemption claimed |
| `firstSaleDate`, `filedAt` | Date of first sale and date of filing |
| `street`, `city`, `state`, `zip`, `phone` | The company's address and phone number on the filing |
| `secUrl` | The original filing on sec.gov |

Names of executives and directors are not included.

### How to find recently funded companies

- **Seed-stage software in California:** set `industryKeywords` to `technology`, `states` to `CA`, `maxAmountRaised` to `3000000` and turn on `foundedWithinFiveYearsOnly`.
- **Rounds over $10 million last month:** set `daysBack` to `30` and `minAmountRaised` to `10000000`.
- **A weekly list of new rounds:** set a `monitorName` such as `weekly-fintech` and schedule the Actor. Each run returns and charges only for filings it has not returned before.

### Example output

```json
{
  "company": "Acme Robotics, Inc.",
  "cik": "2163169",
  "filedAt": "2026-10-30",
  "industry": "Technology",
  "amountRaised": 2500000,
  "offeringSize": 5000000,
  "investorCount": 7,
  "yearFounded": 2024,
  "firstSaleDate": "2026-10-01",
  "city": "AUSTIN",
  "state": "TX",
  "phone": "5125550100",
  "secUrl": "https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/2163169/000216316926000001/primary_doc.xml"
}
```

### What this funding data can and cannot tell you

- Form D covers US private placements under Regulation D. Companies that raise money another way, or file late or not at all, do not appear, so this is not a complete list of startup funding.
- A few filers are based outside the US; their state holds an SEC country code such as A1.
- Amounts are what the company reported, and they can be cumulative across a round.
- Telling operating companies from investment vehicles uses Form D's own industry group plus name patterns. It is good, not perfect, so a few vehicles may get through. Turn on `includeInvestmentVehicles` and `includeNotYetRaised` to see everything. Duplicate filings of the same round are returned once.
- Some small companies list a founder's or lawyer's phone number or address. Follow the anti-spam and privacy laws that apply where you do outreach.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.02 per company returned** ($20 per 1,000 companies), with 10-30% off on paid Apify plans, plus a tiny start fee of $0.00005. Filings that fail your filters cost nothing. `maxCompanies` caps your cost; the default of 25 costs about $0.50. Apify's free monthly credit covers a first test.

### Questions

Is the data legal to use? It comes from public SEC filings on sec.gov, read within the SEC's fair-access limits. How you use it for outreach is your responsibility.

Found a wrong company or a filing that was parsed badly? Open an issue on the Issues tab with the `secUrl` and it will be looked at.

# Actor input Schema

## `daysBack` (type: `integer`):

Look at filings from this many days back, 1 to 365. Ignored when a start date is set.

## `startDate` (type: `string`):

Optional. First filing date as YYYY-MM-DD.

## `endDate` (type: `string`):

Optional. Last filing date as YYYY-MM-DD. Default is today.

## `maxCompanies` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many companies. You pay per company, so this also caps the cost.

## `minAmountRaised` (type: `integer`):

Only companies that reported raising at least this much.

## `maxAmountRaised` (type: `integer`):

Only companies that reported raising at most this much. Useful for finding seed-stage companies.

## `states` (type: `array`):

Two-letter state codes of the company's address, such as CA or NY. Empty means all.

## `industryKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep companies whose Form D industry contains one of these words, such as technology, biotechnology, health or energy. Empty means all.

## `foundedWithinFiveYearsOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only companies that told the SEC they were founded within the last five years.

## `includeInvestmentVehicles` (type: `boolean`):

Off by default. Many Form D filings are investment funds, special purpose vehicles and single-property real estate entities, not companies you can sell to.

## `includeNotYetRaised` (type: `boolean`):

Off by default. Some companies file before any money has come in; their amount raised is 0.

## `includeAmendments` (type: `boolean`):

Also include Form D/A amendments to earlier filings.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Give your schedule a name, and each run returns and charges only for filings it has not returned before.
