## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Sports Odds: Kalshi and Polymarket (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, soccer, golf, tennis, MMA, motorsport)

Pull **every open sports market** from Kalshi and Polymarket into one dataset in a single run: game winners,
series and championship futures, MVP and award markets, win totals and props. Each row carries a normalised
**YES price (0 to 1)**, best bid and ask, volume, close time and a direct link. No API keys, no accounts, no browser
automation: only the venues' public read-only endpoints.

### What you get

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `venue` | `kalshi` or `polymarket` |
| `league` | `nfl`, `ncaaf`, `nba`, `ncaab`, `mlb`, `nhl`, `soccer`, `golf`, `tennis`, `mma`, `f1` or `other` |
| `event` | parent event title (a game, a season, a tournament) |
| `market` | the market question, with the outcome in brackets where the venue splits an event into outcomes |
| `yes` | implied probability of YES, 0 to 1 (Kalshi bid/ask mid, Polymarket last price) |
| `bid` / `ask` | best bid and best ask for YES where the venue reports them |
| `volume_usd` | traded volume where the venue reports it |
| `closes` | close time in UTC (`YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM`) |
| `url` | link to the market |
| `fetched_at` | UTC timestamp of the run |

### Use cases

- Compare how the same game or futures market is priced on Kalshi and Polymarket.
- Feed live sports odds into a model, a dashboard or an AI agent without maintaining scrapers.
- Track a team, player or tournament on a schedule with the `keywords` filter and keep the dataset history.
- Build closing-line and volume histories across both venues.

### Input

```json
{
  "leagues": ["nfl", "nba", "mlb", "nhl", "soccer"],
  "keywords": ["Chiefs", "Lakers"],
  "venues": ["kalshi", "polymarket"],
  "includeFutures": true,
  "maxMarkets": 500
}
```

Leave `keywords` empty to get every market for the selected leagues. Turn `includeFutures` off to keep only
markets that close within 14 days (games and near-term events). Rows are sorted soonest-closing first.

### Notes

- Kalshi's full open-event list is paged each run and filtered to its Sports category; league is inferred from the
  series ticker and title.
- Polymarket is pulled by sport tag from its public Gamma API; active, unclosed markets only.
- Prices are point-in-time snapshots; every row carries `fetched_at`.

# Actor input Schema

## `leagues` (type: `array`):

Which leagues or sports to pull. Leave empty for all.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Optional case-insensitive filter, one term per line, e.g. 'Chiefs', 'Lakers', 'World Series'. A market is kept when any term appears in its event or question text.

## `venues` (type: `array`):

Which venues to pull from.

## `includeFutures` (type: `boolean`):

Keep markets that close more than 14 days out (champions, MVP, win totals). Turn off to keep only games and events in the next two weeks.

## `maxMarkets` (type: `integer`):

Upper bound on rows returned per venue, soonest-closing first (1-5000).

## Actor input object example

```json
  "maxMarkets": 500
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `markets` (type: `string`):
