## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU TED Tenders Search — public procurement notices, official API

Search **every public tender published in the EU's Tenders Electronic Daily (TED)** by keyword, buyer country, CPV code, notice type and date — and get clean, structured JSON or CSV. Find new bids to respond to, monitor competitors' awards, or build a procurement dashboard.

### Why this Actor

- **Official source, no key.** Uses the European Commission's public TED Search API (v3). No browser, no proxies, no API key, no CAPTCHAs.
- **Multilingual data made simple.** TED returns every title as a dictionary of 24 languages and every lot as a parallel array. This Actor picks one clean title, buyer and deadline per notice, sums lot values (only when they share a currency) and exposes direct links to the notice page, PDF and XML.
- **Incremental monitoring.** Set *Published in the last N days* and schedule the Actor daily to receive only new notices. Notices are de-duplicated and only the latest version of each is returned.
- **Powerful filters.** Full-text keywords in any EU language, ISO country codes (`DE` or `DEU`), CPV codes or CPV branches (`72` = all IT services), notice types, contract nature (supplies / services / works) and *open for submissions only*.
- **Reliable.** Retries on rate limits and server errors, clear errors for invalid queries.

```json
{
  "publicationNumber": "667907-2026",
  "noticeType": "cn-standard",
  "publicationDate": "2026-09-29",
  "title": "Nährstoffmanagement",
  "buyerName": "Landwirtschaftskammer Niedersachsen Geschäftsbüro Landwirtschaft Oldenburg",
  "buyerCountry": ["DEU"],
  "contractNature": ["services"],
  "procedureType": "open",
  "cpvCodes": ["72000000"],
  "estimatedValue": null,
  "deadline": "2026-10-29",
  "tedUrl": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/-/detail/667907-2026"
}
```

### Input examples

New IT-services tenders from Germany and France in the last 3 days that are still open:

```json
{ "keywords": "software", "buyerCountries": ["DE", "FR"], "cpvCodes": ["72"], "sinceDays": 3, "openOnly": true }
```

Contract awards in the Netherlands since 1 September:

```json
{ "noticeTypes": ["can-standard"], "buyerCountries": ["NL"], "sinceDate": "2026-09-01", "maxItems": 1000 }
```

### Use cases

- Bid teams: a daily list of new tenders matching your CPV codes and countries.
- Market research: who buys what, where and for how much.
- Competitor and award tracking with `can-*` notices.
- Feeding procurement data to dashboards, spreadsheets or AI agents (works via the Apify MCP server).

### Limits

- `estimatedValue` is only present when the buyer published it, so many notices have `null`.
- Only notices published on TED are covered (above-threshold EU procurement); national below-threshold tenders are not.
- `maxItems` defaults to 100; raise it for bulk runs.
- Not affiliated with the European Union. Source: TED — Tenders Electronic Daily (© European Union). Notices may be reused for commercial or non-commercial purposes under Commission Decision 2011/833/EU; the original notices published on TED remain the legal reference.

### Pricing

Free to use — you only pay Apify's standard platform usage, which is tiny because this Actor calls an official API directly (no browser, no proxies).

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `string`):

Full-text search across notice text (any EU language). Leave empty to list all notices matching the other filters.

## `buyerCountries` (type: `array`):

Country of the contracting authority: ISO 3166 codes such as DEU, FRA, ITA or DE, FR, IT. Leave empty for all countries.

## `cpvCodes` (type: `array`):

Common Procurement Vocabulary codes. A full 8-digit code matches exactly; a shorter prefix matches the whole branch (e.g. 72 = IT services, 45 = construction, 33 = medical equipment).

TED notice type codes, e.g. cn-standard (contract notice), pin-only (prior information), can-standard (contract award). Leave empty for all types.

## `contractNature` (type: `string`):

Restrict to supplies, services or works contracts.

## `sinceDays` (type: `integer`):

Only notices published within the last N days. Ignored if Since date is set. Use with a schedule for daily monitoring.

## `sinceDate` (type: `string`):
