## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Naukri Jobs Scraper: India jobs with salary, skills and company ratings

Scrape job listings from **Naukri.com**, India's largest job site, by keyword, city, experience and posting date. Get clean, structured data for every job: title, company, salary, experience range, skills, AmbitionBox company rating, posting date, job link and apply link. No login, no cookies, no Naukri account.

**Price: $0.80 per 1,000 jobs** ($0.0008 per job). You pay only for jobs delivered. No start fee, no compute or proxy charges on top.

### What does Naukri Jobs Scraper do?

You type the same search you would type on naukri.com (for example `data analyst` in `Bangalore`), and the actor returns every matching job as a row in a table. Export to Excel, CSV, JSON or Google Sheets, call it from the API, or schedule it daily to track new postings.

### Use cases

- **Recruiting and staffing agencies:** build lead lists of companies hiring for a role, with apply links.
- **Salary and skills research:** see which skills and experience levels are in demand, city by city.
- **Job boards and aggregators:** feed fresh Indian job listings into your site, app or newsletter.
- **HR tech and market intelligence:** track hiring activity of competitors or whole sectors over time.
- **AI agents and RAG pipelines:** call it through the Apify API or MCP and get compact JSON.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free** (Apify's free plan includes monthly credit, enough for thousands of jobs).
2. Enter one or more **search keywords**, an optional **location**, and **max jobs per keyword**.
3. Click **Start**. A 20-job run finishes in under a minute.
4. Download the results as Excel, CSV or JSON, or read them via the API.

### Input example

```json
{
  "keywords": ["data analyst", "python developer"],
  "location": "Bangalore",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "experienceYears": 3,
  "postedWithinDays": "7"
}
```

| Option | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Search keywords | `["python developer", "data analyst"]` | Same as the Naukri search box. Each keyword is searched separately. |
| Location | `Bangalore`, `Mumbai`, `Pune`, `Hyderabad` | Empty = all of India |
| Max jobs per keyword | `100` | Stops after this many results per keyword |
| Experience (years) | `3` | Optional filter |
| Posted within | `7` | Any time, or last 1, 3, 7, 15 or 30 days |

### Pricing (plain terms)

You are charged **$0.0008 for each job** in your results, and nothing else:

| Jobs | Cost |
|---|---|
| 100 | $0.08 |
| 1,000 | $0.80 |
| 10,000 | $8.00 |

There is no start fee and no extra charge for compute or proxies. If a search finds nothing, you pay nothing. You can also set a maximum cost per run in the run options, and the actor stops when it is reached.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Naukri account or cookies?** No. The actor reads public search results only.

**How many jobs can I get?** Up to everything Naukri returns for your search, page by page. For very broad needs, split the search into several keywords, cities or experience levels to get more complete coverage.

**Why is salary often empty?** Most Naukri employers hide salary ("Not disclosed"). When a salary is published, you get it as text and as numbers.

**Can I schedule it?** Yes. Use Apify Schedules to run it daily and get only today's jobs with "Posted within: Last 24 hours".

**Can I use it from code or an AI agent?** Yes, see the API example below. It also works through the Apify MCP server.

**Is it legal?** It collects publicly listed job postings, not personal candidate data. You are responsible for how you use the data.

### Limits

- Results are what Naukri shows in search (about 20 per page). Full job descriptions are trimmed to the snippet shown in search.
- NaukriGulf (Gulf jobs) is not covered.
- Each search uses a real browser, so very large runs (10,000+ jobs) take several minutes.

### API example

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/steady_scrape~naukri-jobs-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_API_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"keywords": ["data analyst"], "location": "Mumbai", "maxItems": 50}'
```

Job titles or skills to search, e.g. "data analyst", "java developer". Each keyword is searched separately.

## `location` (type: `string`):
