## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Cutshort Jobs Scraper

Scrape tech jobs from **[cutshort.io](https://cutshort.io)**, the Indian hiring platform for engineering, product, design, data and
growth roles. Search by **skill or role**, **city** or **Remote**, or paste Cutshort job list links, and get every job with its
**company profile** (size, funding stage, product or services, website, LinkedIn), **salary as the site shows it**, **experience
range**, **skills**, **work mode**, **posting date** and the **full job description** — in one row per job.

No login, no browser, no proxy. Pay only for the jobs you get.

### What you can do with it

- **Job market research**: how many Golang jobs Pune has, what React roles pay in Bangalore, which skills come together.
- **Lead generation for recruiters and HR tech**: companies hiring now, with their size, stage, website and LinkedIn.
- **Salary benchmarking**: published salary ranges by skill, city and experience, in lakh a year or monthly for internships.
- **Job alerts and feeds**: schedule it daily with **Only new jobs** and **Posted within** to receive just the jobs posted since
  the last run.
- **Job boards and aggregators**: a clean feed of India tech jobs with descriptions in text and HTML.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Skills or roles** | `Python`, `React`, `Node.js`, `Machine Learning`, `Product Manager`, `DevOps`, `Full Stack Developer`… Written as you say them: the Actor matches each one to the site's own job list (React → `reactjs`, Machine Learning → `machine-learning-ml`). Empty, with no link, reads **every job on the site**. |
| **Locations** | Cities or `Remote`. Bangalore, Delhi NCR (Gurugram, Noida), Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, Indore, Coimbatore, Kochi, Chandigarh and Bhubaneswar have lists of their own; any other town (Surat, Nagpur…) is looked for in the job locations of the India-wide list. Each skill is searched in each location. |
| **Cutshort job list links** | Pages such as `https://cutshort.io/jobs/python-jobs-in-pune`, read as they are. |
| **Work mode** | Any, fully remote only, remote allowed, or office only. |
| **Job types** | Full time, internship, temporary/contract, freelance. |
| **Minimum / maximum experience** | In years; a job is kept when its range overlaps yours. |
| **Minimum salary (lakh a year)** | Jobs whose published pay reaches it. |
| **Only jobs with a published salary** | Leaves out "Best in industry". |
| **Posted within** | Last 24 hours, 3, 7, 15, 30 or 90 days. |
| **Company stage / type** | Raised funding, profitable, bootstrapped; product, services, or both. |
| **Leave out recruitment agency postings** | Only jobs posted by the employer itself. |
| **Max jobs per search** | 100 by default; 0 for everything the site shows. |
| **Only new jobs since the last run** | Monitor mode for scheduled runs: jobs delivered before are skipped and not charged. |

Example — React and Python jobs in Bangalore and remote, posted this week, at least 3 years of experience:

```json
    "skills": ["React", "Python"],
    "locations": ["Bangalore", "Remote"],
    "postedWithinDays": "7",
#### Fields
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `jobId`, `url`, `title` | The job on Cutshort. |
| `companyName`, `companyUrl`, `companyLogo` | The company as the job shows it ("Confidential" or similar when a recruiter hides the client). |
| `companyWebsite`, `companyLinkedin`, `companySize`, `companyStage`, `companyType`, `companyFoundedYear`, `companyFollowers`, `companyTechStack`, `companyDescription` | The company's Cutshort profile, when it has one. |
| `postedByAgency`, `agencyName` | A recruiter posted the job for a client, and its name. |
| `locations` | Cities as the job lists them (empty for fully remote jobs). |
| `workMode`, `remote` | `remote`, `remote_or_office` or `office`; `remote` is true for the first two. |
| `jobTypes` | `full_time`, `internship`, `temporary_full_time`, `freelance`. |
| `experienceMinYears`, `experienceMaxYears` | Experience range in years. |
| `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryPeriod`, `salaryText` | Pay as the site shows it, per year (or per month for monthly internships); all `null` when the salary is hidden. |
| `skills` | The skills the job is tagged with. |
| `postedAt` | When the job was posted or last refreshed (ISO 8601, UTC). |
| `description`, `descriptionHtml` | The full job description, as text and as the site's HTML. |
| `status`, `reason` | `ok` for a job. A search that gives no job leaves one **free** row saying why: `no_results`, `not_found` (a skill or list the site does not have, with the closest skills it has), `invalid` (a link that is not a Cutshort job list) or `blocked`. |
The run's **SUMMARY** record lists every search with the jobs it gave and how many jobs each filter left out.
### Limits, honestly
- **Big lists show only their newest few hundred jobs.** Cutshort says Python has 4,262 jobs, but its Python pages stop after
  450; all jobs stop after about 2,450. The Actor delivers everything the pages show and names the lists the site cut short
  in the summary. To reach more, add cities: each city list has its own depth.
- **"Live" jobs can be old.** The site keeps jobs listed for years after posting. Use **Posted within** for fresh ones; the
  lists run newest first, so the Actor stops reading as soon as it reaches older jobs.
- **The site is slow**: a page of 50 jobs takes 1 to 20 seconds to answer, so expect about 200 to 500 jobs a minute.
- Recruiter names and contact details are not collected.
### Pricing
**US$0.0015 per job** (US$1.50 per 1,000), with the full description and company profile included. No start fee. Status rows,
jobs your filters leave out and jobs already delivered to a monitor are free. You can cap a run's cost with Apify's maximum
cost per run; the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached.
### Is it legal?
The Actor reads public job list pages that Cutshort shows to every visitor without an account, through the same JSON those
pages load, and the sitemap the site publishes for crawlers. It respects cutshort.io's robots.txt (it never uses the free-text
search, profile, apply or job-view paths the file disallows), sends one request at a time, and never logs in or solves a
challenge. Job ads are business information, but descriptions can mention people: you are responsible for using the data
lawfully (for example under India's DPDP Act or the GDPR). Not affiliated with Cutshort.
### Issues and requests
# Actor input Schema
## `skills` (type: `array`):
Skills or roles as people write them, e.g. <code>Python</code>, <code>React</code>, <code>Node.js</code>, <code>Machine Learning</code>, <code>Product Manager</code>, <code>DevOps</code>, <code>Full Stack Developer</code>. Each is matched to the site's own job list for it (cutshort.io has about 3,800). Leave empty, with no link, to read every job on the site. A skill the site has no list for gives a free row naming the closest ones it has.
## `locations` (type: `array`):
Cities, or <code>Remote</code>. Bangalore (Bengaluru), Delhi NCR (Gurugram, Noida), Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, Indore, Coimbatore, Kochi, Chandigarh and Bhubaneswar have lists of their own on the site; any other town is looked for in the locations of the India-wide list. Each skill is searched in each location. Leave empty for all of India.
## `jobListUrls` (type: `array`):
Links of the site's job list pages, e.g. <code>https://cutshort.io/jobs/python-jobs-in-pune</code> or <code>https://cutshort.io/jobs/remote-reactjs-jobs</code>. Each link is its own search; Locations do not apply to it, the filters below do. Job pages (cutshort.io/job/…) are not taken.
## `workMode` (type: `string`):
Keep only jobs of this work mode, as the job says it.
## `jobTypes` (type: `array`):
Keep only jobs of these types. Empty keeps every type.
## `minExperience` (type: `integer`):
Only jobs whose experience range reaches at least this many years.
## `maxExperience` (type: `integer`):
Only jobs whose experience range starts at or below this many years. Set 0 or 1 for freshers.
## `minSalaryLpa` (type: `integer`):
Only jobs whose published pay reaches this many lakh rupees a year (monthly pay counted times twelve). Jobs with a hidden salary or paid in another currency are left out when this is set.
## `onlyWithSalary` (type: `boolean`):
Leave out jobs whose salary the recruiter hides ("Best in industry").
## `postedWithinDays` (type: `string`):
Only jobs posted in the last days. The site lists newest first, so the Actor stops reading a list once it reaches older jobs. Combine with a schedule and "Only new jobs" for a daily feed.
## `companyStages` (type: `array`):
Keep only jobs of companies at these stages, as their Cutshort profile says. Companies without a stage are left out when this is set.
## `companyTypes` (type: `array`):
Keep only jobs of these kinds of company, as their Cutshort profile says.
## `excludeAgencyPostings` (type: `boolean`):
Skip jobs a recruiter posts for a client (often a confidential one).
## `maxJobsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):
Stop each search after this many jobs. 0 means all the site shows: for big lists (Python, Java, all jobs) that is only the newest few hundred, so add cities to reach more.
## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):
Deliver, and charge, only jobs that an earlier run with the same searches and filters has not delivered. Made for scheduled runs.
