## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does foundit Jobs Scraper do?

It collects job ads from **foundit** (formerly **Monster India**), one of India's largest job boards, and from its sister sites across Asia and the Middle East: **foundit.sg** (Singapore), **foundit.my** (Malaysia), **foundit.com.ph** (Philippines), **foundit.id** (Indonesia), **foundit.hk** (Hong Kong), **founditgulf.com** (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the rest of the Gulf), **monster.co.th** (Thailand) and **monster.com.vn** (Vietnam). For every job you get the title, company, location, experience range, salary, skills, industry, function, employment type, posting and expiry dates, number of applicants, whether it was posted on foundit or copied from another site, the employer's own apply link, and — with details on — the full description, the company profile and every location with map coordinates.

It reads the same public data the site shows to any visitor: no login, no cookies, no browser. 20 jobs with full descriptions take about 15 seconds.

### Why use it?

- **Job aggregators and job boards**: feed fresh Indian, Gulf and South-East Asian jobs by keyword, city, experience and salary, on a schedule.
- **Recruiters and staffing agencies**: see who is hiring for which roles and how many people already applied.
- **Sales and lead generation**: a company that is hiring is a company that is growing. Find employers hiring in your niche, with their profile and logo.
- **Salary and labour-market research**: published salary bands and experience ranges by role and city, across nine countries.
- **AI agents and job-matching tools**: clean, structured job descriptions and skill lists ready for an LLM.

### Features

- **Nine sites, one Actor, one output format**: India, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, the Gulf, Thailand and Vietnam.
- **Several searches per run**: one line per keyword. A job found by two searches is stored, and charged, once.
- **foundit's own filters**: city, experience range, salary in lakhs (India), posted within 1–30 days, job type (permanent, contract, work from home, jobs for women), and sorting by relevance or newest first.
- **Up to 10,000 jobs per search**, 100 per request.
- **Full job details** (optional): description as clean text and as HTML, company profile (about, industries, logo, Great Place to Work), every location with city, state, country and coordinates, job types, view count and whether the job has screening questions.
- **Native or syndicated**: each job says whether it was posted on foundit itself or copied from a company career site or LinkedIn, with the employer's own apply link when there is one.
- **Monitor mode**: schedule it and get only the jobs that are new since the last run; jobs already delivered are skipped and not charged.
- **Honest billing**: searches that find nothing, duplicates and jobs beyond your maximum cost are not charged.
- **Run summary**: the `SUMMARY` record tells jobs per search, foundit's own count of matching jobs, and which searches found nothing or hold more than 10,000 jobs.

### How to scrape foundit jobs

1. Pick the **site** (India by default).
2. Add one or more **keywords** (job title, skill or company), or leave them empty to get every job matching the filters.
3. Optionally set a **location**, **experience**, **salary**, **posted within**, **job types** and the **maximum jobs per search**.
4. Click **Start**. Download the jobs as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read them through the API.

For a daily job alert, schedule the Actor with *Posted within: Last day* or *Last 3 days* and turn on **Only jobs new since the last run**.

### How much does it cost?

Pay per result, platform usage included:

- **US$1.50 per 1,000 jobs** as the search lists them (details off);
- **US$2.50 per 1,000 jobs with full details** (description, company profile, coordinates).

A job whose detail could not be read is charged at the lower price. Searches that find nothing, refused requests, duplicates and jobs skipped by the monitor cost nothing, and the run stops at your maximum cost. Apify's free plan is enough to try it.

### Limitations

- foundit lists at most **10,000 jobs per search**. A larger search is reported in `SUMMARY` as truncated: split it with a location, an experience range or a shorter *Posted within*.
- The **location** is passed to foundit as written; write the city as the site's search box does (Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Dubai, Singapore). foundit answers an unknown place with remote jobs rather than an error.
- The **salary filter** works on foundit.in only (lakhs of rupees a year); the other sites mix monthly and yearly figures, so there it is refused and you can filter the dataset on `salaryMin` and `salaryMax`.
- Many jobs on foundit are copied from other sites and publish no salary or experience; those fields are `null` rather than guessed.
- The site is protected by a firewall. If it refuses this run's IP, the run stops asking, delivers what it already had, and ends with a message; nothing beyond that is charged.

### Is it legal?

This Actor only reads job ads that foundit publishes for any visitor, without logging in, at a gentle pace (about two requests a second). It leaves out recruiters' names and phone numbers. Job ads are business information; check the terms that apply to your use of the data and the privacy laws of your country, and consult a lawyer if unsure. # Actor input Schema

## `country` (type: `string`):

Which foundit site to search. All nine are one platform; salaries come in each site's currency.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Job titles, skills or companies, one search each (e.g. <b>python developer</b>, <b>accountant</b>). A job found by two searches is stored and charged once. Leave empty to list every job matching the filters.

## `location` (type: `string`):

A city as the site's search box writes it (e.g. <b>Bengaluru</b>, <b>Mumbai</b>, <b>Singapore</b>, <b>Dubai</b>). Empty searches the whole site.

## `experienceMinYears` (type: `integer`):

Jobs whose experience range overlaps this one, as foundit filters it.

## `experienceMaxYears` (type: `integer`):

Leave empty for no upper bound.

## `salaryMinLakhs` (type: `integer`):

foundit.in's salary filter, in lakhs of rupees a year (5 = ₹5,00,000). The other sites mix monthly and yearly figures, so there the filter is refused: filter the dataset on salaryMin and salaryMax instead.

## `salaryMaxLakhs` (type: `integer`):

Leave empty for no upper bound.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `string`):

foundit's own job-freshness filter. For a scheduled run, 1 or 3 days together with the monitor below keeps each run to what is new.

## `jobTypes` (type: `array`):

Several are combined with OR. Empty means all.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Relevance as foundit ranks it, or newest first.

## `maxJobsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

Stops each search after this many new jobs. 0 means all of them, up to the 10,000 foundit lists per search.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

One more request per job for its full description (text and HTML), the company profile, every location with coordinates, job types and view count. Such a job is charged as a job with details; without it, the job as the search lists it.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Turns a scheduled run into a job alert: a job this Actor already delivered to you in an earlier run is skipped and not charged. The first run delivers everything and is the baseline.
