## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Images Scraper – Full-Size URLs & Filters

Search **Google Images** for any keyword, country and language and get the **full-size image URL** of every result, with **width × height, file size, dominant colour, source page and title**. Google's **size, colour, type, time and usage-rights (Creative Commons) filters** are built in.

**$1.50 per 1,000 images.** You only pay for images returned.

### What you get for each image

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `imageUrl` | https://decoholic.org/wp-content/uploads/…/gray-living-room.webp (original file) |
| `imageWidth`, `imageHeight`, `fileSize`, `format` | 896 × 1344 · "109KB" · webp |
| `title` | 19 Modern Gray Living Room Ideas & Color Trends (2026) |
| `sourcePageUrl`, `sourceName`, `domain` | the page that shows the image · "Decoholic" · decoholic.org |
| `thumbnailUrl` | Google's preview image |
| `dominantColor` | #d0c0b0 |
| `resultType`, `price`, `currency`, `videoDuration` | image / product / video, with price for product images and duration for videos |
| `licenseUrl` | license or terms page, when the publisher provides one |
| `query`, `position`, `filters`, `country`, `language`, `scrapedAt` | run context |

### Use cases

- **Content and design:** find large, Creative-Commons-filtered or transparent images for articles, mock-ups and presentations.
- **AI and machine learning:** build image datasets with real dimensions and source pages.
- **E-commerce and brand monitoring:** see where your product photos appear, find competitor product images with prices.
- **SEO:** check which pages rank in Google Images for your keywords.

### How to use

1. Enter **search queries**.
2. Optionally pick **size**, **type** (photo, clip art, line drawing, GIF), **colour** (incl. transparent), **time** and **usage rights**.
3. Set **country**, **language** and **max images per query** (up to 100).

```json
{
  "queries": ["mountain lake", "coffee cup"],
  "maxResultsPerQuery": 100,
  "imageSize": "large",
  "imageType": "photo",
  "usageRights": "creativeCommons",
  "country": "us",
  "language": "en"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.0015 per image returned** ($1.50 per 1,000 images), plus Apify's tiny actor-start fee. Platform usage is included.

### Use with AI agents (MCP)

This Actor works as a tool for AI assistants and agents – Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, n8n and other MCP clients – through Apify's hosted MCP server. Add this server URL to your client:

```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=stevenkramp/google-images-scraper
```

Sign in with your Apify account when asked. Your agent can then call the Actor in plain language, for example: *"Find 30 large Creative Commons photos of mountain lakes."* – and gets clean, structured JSON back. Runs started by your agent are normal Actor runs on your Apify account at the same pay-per-event price.

### FAQ

**Why at most 100 images per query?** Google shows one page of about 100 images per search. Use several related queries for more.

**Can I reuse the images?** Images belong to their owners. The usage-rights filter is Google's; always check the license on the source page.

**Something broken?** Open an issue in the Issues tab. We fix scrapers quickly when Google changes its pages.
