## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Shopping Scraper – Prices, Merchants & Deals

Scrape **Google Shopping** results for any product search in any country: who sells it, at what price, with which discount and rating. Built for price monitoring, competitor research and deal hunting.

**$1.50 per 1,000 products.** You only pay for products returned. Other Google Shopping scrapers in the Store charge up to $20 per 1,000.

### What you get for each product

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `title` | Sony WH-CH520 On-Ear Wireless Bluetooth Headphones |
| `price`, `priceText`, `currency` | 15.99 · "$15.99" · USD |
| `oldPrice`, `discount` | 68 · "76% OFF" |
| `merchant`, `moreMerchants` | Best Buy · true (also sold by other stores) |
| `condition` | New / Refurbished / Used (when shown) |
| `badge`, `typicalPriceText` | "LOW PRICE" · "Usually $41" |
| `delivery` | Free delivery by Sun |
| `rating`, `reviewsCount` | 4.8 · 35,000 |
| `productId`, `offerId`, `catalogId`, `googleShoppingUrl` | Google's IDs and product page link |
| `query`, `position`, `country`, `language`, `scrapedAt` | run context (`position` = rank in results) |

### Use cases

- **Price monitoring:** schedule daily runs for your products and see who undercuts you.
- **Competitor and assortment research:** which merchants dominate a category, and at what prices?
- **Deal and discount tracking:** filter by `discount` or `badge`.
- **Market prices for resellers and refurbishers:** compare `condition` = New, Refurbished and Used.

### How to use

1. Enter one or more **search queries**, e.g. `wireless headphones`, `standing desk`.
2. Choose the **country** (`us`, `gb`, `de`, `fr` …) and **language**. Prices, merchants and currency follow the country.
3. Set **max products per query**. About 40 per page, up to 120 per query.

```json
{
  "queries": ["wireless headphones", "standing desk"],
  "maxResultsPerQuery": 80,
  "country": "us",
  "language": "en"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.0015 per product returned** ($1.50 per 1,000 products), plus Apify's tiny actor-start fee. Platform usage is included.

### Use with AI agents (MCP)

This Actor works as a tool for AI assistants and agents – Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, n8n and other MCP clients – through Apify's hosted MCP server. Add this server URL to your client:

```
https://mcp.apify.com?tools=stevenkramp/google-shopping-scraper
```

Sign in with your Apify account when asked. Your agent can then call the Actor in plain language, for example: *"Compare prices for 'Sony WH-1000XM5' on Google Shopping in Germany."* – and gets clean, structured JSON back. Runs started by your agent are normal Actor runs on your Apify account at the same pay-per-event price.

### FAQ

**Why do some products have no rating?** Google only shows ratings when it has enough reviews.

**Can I search by product ID or GTIN?** Searching for an exact model name or GTIN usually returns that product with all offers.

**Something broken?** Open an issue in the Issues tab. Google changes its pages from time to time, and we fix scrapers quickly.

# Actor input Schema
