## Pricing

from $0.60 / 1,000 job results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does SEEK Jobs Scraper do?

It returns **job listings from SEEK**, Australia's and New Zealand's largest job board (seek.com.au, seek.co.nz), for any keyword, location and filter combination. Every job comes with title, company, location, work type, on-site/hybrid/remote, classification, posted date, and the **salary both as text and as parsed numbers** (min, max, currency, hourly/annual). Optionally it adds the **full job description, expiry date and the company's industry, size, website and rating**.

- ⚡ **Fast and cheap.** Plain HTTP against SEEK's own search API with no browser. 1,000 jobs take about 15 seconds.
- 💰 **Salaries you can sort by.** "$160k - $180k p.a.", "$45 – $50 per hour", "Up to $195k base + super" all become `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency` and `salaryPeriod`.
- 🔓 **Past SEEK's 550-job limit.** SEEK stops paging after about 550 results. Ask for more and the scraper splits the search by classification, work type and state, then removes duplicates.
- 🎛️ **Every SEEK filter.** Location, classification, full time / part time / contract / casual, on-site / hybrid / remote (work from home), date posted, salary range, newest first. Or paste a SEEK search URL.
- 📄 **Full descriptions at a fraction of the usual cost.** Up to 25 job descriptions are fetched in one request, so the add-on stays cheap.
- 🛡️ **No personal data.** Email addresses and phone numbers are stripped from descriptions. Recruiter contact fields are never collected.

### What data can I extract from SEEK?

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `jobId`, `title`, `jobUrl`, `applyUrl` | 94959551 · Digital Health Nurse (Healthdirect) · https://au.seek.com/job/94959551 |
| `companyName`, `advertiserName`, `companyProfileUrl` | Serco · Serco Asia Pacific · https://au.seek.com/companies/serco-432405 |
| `location`, `suburb`, `area`, `locations`, `country` | Melbourne VIC · Auchenflower QLD 4066 · All Melbourne VIC · AU |
| `salaryText` | $87,790 - $112,607 per annum (pro rata) |
| `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryPeriod` | 87790 · 112607 · AUD · YEAR (also HOUR, DAY, WEEK, MONTH) |
| `workType`, `workArrangement`, `isRemote` | Full time · Hybrid · false |
| `classification`, `subClassification` (+ ids) | Healthcare & Medical · Nursing - A\&E, Critical Care & ICU |
| `postedAt`, `postedAgo` | 2026-09-30T00:13:20.000Z · 8d ago |
| `teaser`, `bulletPoints`, `tags`, `roleId` | Short summary, the ad's 3 selling points, "Immediate start", registered-nurse |
| `isFeatured`, `isPromoted`, `logoUrl` | Paid placement flags and the company logo |
| With full description: `description`, `descriptionHtml`, `expiresAt`, `isExpired`, `isVerified` | Full ad text (plain and HTML) · 2026-10-30T12:59:59.999Z · false · true |
| With full description: `companyIndustry`, `companySize`, `companyWebsite`, `companyRating`, `companyReviewCount` | Insurance · More than 10,000 employees · https://careers.bupa.com.au/ · 2.9 · 313 |

`salaryMin`/`salaryMax` are filled when the ad shows a salary (about 55–65% of SEEK ads). Ads that only say "Competitive salary" keep that in `salaryText` with empty numbers. When an ad doesn't name the period, it's inferred from the amount: under $300 is hourly, over $15,000 is annual.

### How much does it cost to scrape SEEK?

You pay **per job returned**, plus a small add-on per job when **Include full description** is on. Searches that find nothing cost nothing. See the Pricing tab for the current rate.

Set **Max jobs per search** to control spend exactly.

### How do I use it?

1. Enter one or more **Keywords** (each one is a separate search), or leave it empty to list every job matching your filters.
2. Pick the **Country**, and optionally a **Location**, **Classifications**, **Work type**, **On-site / hybrid / remote**, **Date posted** and **Salary** range.
3. Optionally tick **Include full description**.
4. Click **Start**, then download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or fetch them by API.

### Use cases

- **Salary benchmarking:** parsed min/max per hour or year across roles, cities and industries.
- **Job market and hiring trend analysis:** daily snapshots of demand by classification, location and work arrangement.
- **Job boards and aggregators:** feed fresh SEEK jobs (newest first, last 24 hours) into your own site or alerts.
- **Remote-work research:** filter on-site vs hybrid vs remote and track the mix over time.
- **AI agents and LLM pipelines:** clean JSON with full descriptions, ready for matching and classification.

### FAQ

**Does it need a SEEK account or cookies?** No. It uses the same public search data the SEEK website loads.

**Why do I get fewer jobs than SEEK's job count?** SEEK's count is an estimate and includes near-matches. The scraper returns every job SEEK actually lists for the search, and splits big searches automatically to get past the ~550-job paging limit. Turn this off under **Advanced** if you only want the top results.

**Does it work for New Zealand?** Yes. Set **Country** to New Zealand. Salaries are then in NZD and links point to nz.seek.com.

**Is there an experience-level filter?** SEEK doesn't have one, so neither does this scraper. Use keywords such as "graduate", "junior" or "senior".

**Is personal data included?** No. Company names are included. Recruiter names, phone numbers and email addresses aren't collected, and phone numbers and emails are removed from descriptions.

**Is this affiliated with SEEK?** No. This is an independent tool that reads publicly available job listings.

**Something broke?** The scraper is checked automatically every day and fixed when SEEK changes. Open an issue and it will be looked at.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Job titles, skills or companies, one search per line, e.g. "nurse", "data analyst", "Woolworths". Leave empty to list all jobs matching the filters below.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Which SEEK site to search.

## `location` (type: `string`):

Suburb, city, region or state as you would type it on SEEK, e.g. "Sydney NSW", "Melbourne VIC 3000", "All Brisbane QLD", "Auckland". Empty = whole country.

## `classifications` (type: `array`):

Only jobs in these SEEK classifications (industries).

## `workTypes` (type: `array`):

Only these work types.

## `workArrangements` (type: `array`):

Only jobs with these work arrangements (work from home = remote).

## `datePosted` (type: `string`):

Only jobs listed within this period.

## `salaryMin` (type: `integer`):

Lower bound in the selected pay type (e.g. 100000 annual or 40 hourly). Uses SEEK’s own salary filter, which also covers ads that hide the salary.

## `salaryMax` (type: `integer`):

Upper bound in the selected pay type. Leave empty for no upper limit.

## `salaryType` (type: `string`):

How the salary range above is expressed.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Order of results.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional. Paste search result URLs from seek.com.au / au.seek.com / seek.co.nz, e.g. https://www.seek.com.au/data-analyst-jobs/in-Sydney-NSW?worktype=242. Their own filters are used; the filters above apply only to Keywords.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs for each keyword or URL. You are charged per job returned.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Add the full job description (text and HTML), expiry date, and company industry, size, website and rating. Charged as a small add-on per job. Email addresses and phone numbers in descriptions are removed.

## `splitLargeSearches` (type: `boolean`):

SEEK shows at most ~550 jobs per search. When you ask for more, the search is automatically split by classification, work type and state, and the results are de-duplicated.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. By default the scraper connects directly and automatically escalates to Apify Proxy only if SEEK starts blocking it.
