## Pricing

from $1.20 / 1,000 result scrapeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Farmae.it Scraper

Pull product data from farmae.it, an Italian online parapharmacy. The actor returns one row per product with the current price in EUR, the list price and discount when a product is on offer, stock status, EAN barcode, brand and product type.

Farmae.it sells skincare, health, baby, sun care and personal care products, with more than 40,000 products in the catalogue. If you track Italian pharmacy prices or match products across shops by barcode, this actor gives you a repeatable feed.

### How to scrape Farmae.it data

There are two ways to tell the actor which products to read.

1. Paste product pages into `productUrls`, for example `https://www.farmae.it/products/cetaphil-crema-idratante-viso-giorno-protezione-uva-e-uvb-per-pelle-sensibile-50-ml`.
2. Leave `productUrls` empty and fill `keywords`. The actor reads the public catalogue feed and keeps products whose name, brand or address contains one of your words, for example `cetaphil` or `solare`.

The actor stops at `maxResults`. If you leave everything empty, it reads the first 50 products of the catalogue.

Search result pages are not read. The actor requests the catalogue feed in pages of 250 products and, for the barcode, one small product document per product.

### Input

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `productUrls` | list of URLs | Farmae.it product pages |
| `keywords` | list of words | Used when no URLs are given. Keeps products whose name, brand or address contains one of the words |
| `maxResults` | number | Maximum number of rows (default 50) |
| `includeEan` | true or false | Adds the EAN-13 barcode, one extra small request per product (default true) |
| `maxPages` | number | Maximum catalogue pages of 250 products to scan when filtering by keywords (default 120) |
| `proxyConfiguration` | proxy | Apify Proxy by default |

### What you get back

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `sku` | Farmae product number |
| `ean` | EAN-13 barcode |
| `productId` | Shop product id |
| `name` | Product name including size |
| `brand` | Brand name |
| `price` | Current selling price in EUR, VAT included |
| `originalPrice` | List price, only when the selling price is lower |
| `discountPercent` | Percent below the list price |
| `currency` | ISO currency code (EUR) |
| `inStock` | Whether the product can be ordered now |
| `tags` | Shop tags |
| `description` | Product description, first 500 characters, plain text |
| `imageUrl` | Main product image |
| `url` | Product page address |
| `publishedAt` | Date the product was published on the shop |
| `scrapedAt` | Time of the read |
| `country`, `language` | `it`, `it` |

Ratings are not included. Farmae.it does not publish them in the catalogue data.

### Example output

```json
{
  "sku": "951992268",
  "ean": "3499320000055",
  "name": "Cetaphil Fluido Ultra Idratante Idratazione Intensa 48 Ore per Pelle Secca e Sensibile 473 ml",
  "brand": "Cetaphil",
  "price": 20.62,
  "originalPrice": 25.9,
  "discountPercent": 20,
  "currency": "EUR",
  "inStock": true,
  "url": "https://www.farmae.it/products/cetaphil-fluido-ultra-idratante-idratazione-intensa-48-ore-per-pelle-secca-e-sensibile-473-ml",
  "country": "it",
  "language": "it"
}
```

### Input examples

Read one specific product:

```json
{
  "productUrls": [
    "https://www.farmae.it/products/cetaphil-crema-idratante-viso-giorno-protezione-uva-e-uvb-per-pelle-sensibile-50-ml"
  ]
}
```

Read up to 500 Cetaphil and La Roche-Posay products:

```json
{
  "keywords": ["cetaphil", "la roche-posay"],
  "maxResults": 500
}
```

Read prices only, without barcodes, for a quick run:

```json
{
  "keywords": ["solare"],
  "maxResults": 1000,
  "includeEan": false
}
```

### Discounts

When a product is on offer, `originalPrice` holds the list price shown struck through on the site and `discountPercent` the difference. When the shop shows no list price, both fields are empty.

### Price format

Prices are in euro with VAT included, for example 20.62.

### Speed and cost per result

The shop limits how fast it answers. The actor paces its requests and waits when the shop asks it to slow down.

- With `includeEan` off, a run reads 250 products per request and 1,000 products take well under a minute.
- With `includeEan` on, each product needs one extra small request. A measured run of 600 rows took under 5 minutes, which is about 2 rows per second. A full catalogue of more than 40,000 rows takes several hours, so set a long run timeout.
- Usage cost in that run was about 1.6 US cents per 600 rows.
- A run that is interrupted by the platform continues from where it stopped.

The usage cost of a run settles only after the run has SUCCEEDED, so read the final cost after that point.

### Use cases

- Track Italian pharmacy prices for a brand or a category.
- Match products between Farmae.it and other European pharmacies with the EAN.
- Watch discounts and stock for skincare and health brands.
- Build a price comparison or market report for Italy.

### Related actors

Other pharmacy and beauty retailers in this fleet cover Farmasiet, Medpex, Druni, Marionnaud, Notino and Flaconi.

### FAQ

**Does it need a login?** No. The actor reads the public catalogue feed and public product documents.

**How many products can I read?** The catalogue lists more than 40,000 products. Set `maxResults` to the number you need.

**Why is the EAN empty on some rows?** The shop does not publish a barcode for every product. The row is still returned with the other fields.

**How often is the data updated?** Each run reads the live site.

**What if a product page is removed?** The page is skipped and the run goes on with the next one.

### Notes

# Actor input Schema

## `productUrls` (type: `array`):

Product pages from farmae.it, e.g. https://www.farmae.it/products/cetaphil-crema-idratante-viso-giorno-protezione-uva-e-uvb-per-pelle-sensibile-50-ml. Each product becomes one row.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Used when no product URLs are given. The actor reads the catalogue and keeps products whose name or brand contains one of these words, e.g. cetaphil or solare. Leave empty to read the first products of the catalogue.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of rows (one row per product).

## `includeEan` (type: `boolean`):

Reads one extra small request per product to add the EAN-13 barcode. Switch off for a faster run without barcodes.

## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of catalogue pages of 250 products to scan when filtering by keywords.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Proxy used for the requests. Default is Apify Proxy.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "keywords": [
    "cetaphil"
  ],
  "maxResults": 20,
