## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Pigu.lt Scraper

Scrape product data from **Pigu.lt**, the largest online marketplace in Lithuania and the flagship store of the Pigu Group. Give it a search term or a category URL and it returns a clean, structured list of products: names, prices, discounts, brands, ratings, stock status, seller type and images.

No cookies, no login, no browser automation to set up. You pass a search query, you get JSON.

### What this actor does

Pigu.lt lists hundreds of thousands of products across electronics, home, garden, toys, beauty and more, sold both by Pigu itself (1P) and by third-party marketplace sellers (3P). This actor reads the live search and category pages and extracts every product card into a flat record you can drop straight into a spreadsheet, a database, or a price-monitoring pipeline.

Typical uses:

- **Price monitoring** — track how a competitor or supplier prices a product range over time.
- **Assortment research** — see which brands and products are listed in a category, and at what price.
- **Marketplace intelligence** — separate first-party (Pigu) offers from third-party seller offers using the `sellerType` field.
- **Deal tracking** — the `originalPrice` field exposes the strike-through "was" price, so you can measure real discount depth.

### How to scrape Pigu.lt data

1. Open the actor in the Apify Console.
2. Enter a **Search Query** in Lithuanian (for example `telefonas`, `nešiojamas kompiuteris`, `dulkių siurblys`, `kavos aparatas`). Alternatively, paste one or more **Start URLs** pointing at a Pigu.lt search or category page.
3. Set **Max Results** to the number of products you want (the actor paginates automatically, 60 products per page).
4. Leave the proxy configuration at its default.
5. Click **Start**. Results stream into the dataset as they are collected, and can be exported as JSON, CSV, Excel, or fetched through the Apify API.

You can also run it programmatically through the Apify API or any of the Apify client libraries.

### Input

| Field | Type | Description |
|-------|------|-------------|
| `searchQuery` | string | What to search for on Pigu.lt, in Lithuanian. Used when no start URLs are given. Defaults to `telefonas`. |
| `startUrls` | array | Optional. Pigu.lt search or category URLs to scrape instead of the search query (e.g. `https://pigu.lt/lt/mobilieji-telefonai`). |
| `maxResults` | integer | Maximum number of products to scrape. Default `100`. |
| `brightDataApiKey` | string | Optional. Your own unblocking API key. Leave empty to use the built-in one. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | Proxy settings. Fetching runs through a built-in unblocking service, so the default is fine. |

#### Example input

```json
{
  "searchQuery": "telefonas",
  "maxResults": 100,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true,
    "apifyProxyGroups": ["RESIDENTIAL"],
    "apifyProxyCountry": "LT"
  }
}
```

### Output

Each product is one dataset record with the following fields:

| Field | Type | Example |
|-------|------|---------|
| `name` | string | `Telefonas Xiaomi Redmi 15C 4G 4/128GB Midnight Black` |
| `brand` | string | `XIAOMI` |
| `price` | number | `103.75` |
| `currency` | string | `EUR` |
| `originalPrice` | number/null | `149` |
| `rating` | number/null | `5` |
| `reviewCount` | integer/null | `10` |
| `sellerType` | string | `1P` (Pigu) or `3P` (marketplace seller) |
| `inStock` | boolean | `true` |
| `deliveryPromise` | string | `pickup-tomorrow` |
| `productId` | integer | `242895061` |
| `variantId` | integer | `267950341` |
| `categoryId` | integer | `85` |
| `imageUrl` | string | `https://lt2.pigugroup.eu/.../..._large.jpg` |
| `url` | string | `https://pigu.lt/lt/mobilieji-telefonai/...?id=242895061` |
| `scrapedAt` | string | `2026-07-06T19:22:56.753Z` |

#### Example output

```json
{
  "name": "Telefonas Xiaomi Redmi 15C 4G 4/128GB Midnight Black",
  "brand": "XIAOMI",
  "price": 103.75,
  "currency": "EUR",
  "originalPrice": 149,
  "rating": 5,
  "reviewCount": 10,
  "sellerType": "3P",
  "inStock": true,
  "deliveryPromise": "pickup-tomorrow",
  "productId": 242895061,
  "variantId": 267950341,
  "categoryId": 85,
  "imageUrl": "https://lt2.pigugroup.eu/colours/243/470/441/243470441/xiaomi-redmi-15c-4g-4128gb-midnight-black-35b88_large.jpg",
  "url": "https://pigu.lt/lt/mobilieji-telefonai/telefonas-xiaomi-redmi-15c-4g-4128gb-midnight-black?id=242895061",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-07-06T19:22:56.753Z"
}
```

### Prices and discounts

`price` is the current selling price shown on the product card, in euros. When a product is discounted, `originalPrice` holds the higher strike-through "was" price, so `originalPrice - price` is the discount amount. When there is no discount, `originalPrice` is `null`.

### First-party vs marketplace sellers

Pigu.lt is a marketplace, so a search returns a mix of products sold by Pigu itself and products sold by independent sellers. The `sellerType` field lets you filter:

- `1P` — sold and shipped by Pigu.
- `3P` — sold by a third-party marketplace seller.

### Search tips

- Search terms should be in **Lithuanian**, since that is how the catalogue is indexed. `telefonas` = phone, `nešiojamas kompiuteris` = laptop, `televizorius` = TV, `dulkių siurblys` = vacuum cleaner.
- To scrape a whole category rather than a search, pass its URL in `startUrls` (for example `https://pigu.lt/lt/mobilieji-telefonai`). Category pages use the same layout and paginate the same way.
- Results are returned 60 per page. Set `maxResults` to control how deep the actor paginates.

### Cost estimate

This actor is billed pay-per-result. One request returns a full page of 60 products, so the per-result cost stays low even for large runs. Scraping a few thousand products across a category is inexpensive; check the live estimate on the actor page for exact numbers.

### Limitations and notes

- Data comes from the search and category listings, which cover all the fields above. Deep per-product detail pages (full specs, all images, seller name) are not fetched in this version.
- `rating` and `reviewCount` are only present for products that have received reviews.
- Prices and availability are captured at scrape time (`scrapedAt`). Re-run the actor to refresh.
