## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Profile API: Hiring, Funding & Google Ads Signals from a Domain

**by SureSignal**

**Give it a company domain and get back one structured company profile:** what the company does, its socials and tech stack, **how many jobs it's hiring for**, **SEC Form D funding raised**, **whether it's running Google ads**, plus ready-made **buying signals** and **what changed since your last run**.

Built for **sales teams, investors, agencies and AI agents** that need a fast, factual company overview with no LinkedIn scraping and no logins. Every field comes from public, official or company-published sources.

### What's in a company profile?

| Section | Data | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 🏠 Company | Name, title, description, logo/OG image, language, emails and phones listed on the site, social profile links, pricing/careers/about/contact/blog/docs pages | Company homepage |
| 🧰 Tech stack | Analytics, CRM, chat, CMS, payments and frameworks (30+ detections) | Homepage code |
| 💼 Hiring | Open jobs, jobs posted in the last 30 days, top departments and locations, newest posting, sample jobs, job-board provider | Public job boards on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee |
| 💰 Funding | Form D filings, latest filing date, amount sold or offered, industry, investor count, executives | SEC EDGAR (official) |
| 📣 Advertising | Google ads found by format, latest ad shown, advertiser names | Google Ads Transparency Center (public) |
| 🔔 Signals | `hiring_actively`, `raised_recently_sec_form_d`, `running_google_ads`, `new_jobs_since_last_run`, `new_funding_filing_since_last_run`, `new_ads_since_last_run` | Computed |

### Only pay for new data

Run your account list weekly. In the default **New or changed** mode, you're only charged for companies whose jobs, funding filings, ads or homepage changed since the last run. Unchanged companies and domains with no data are **free**.

### How to enrich a list of company domains

1. Paste domains such as `ramp.com` or `notion.so`. Optionally add legal names for exact SEC matching, for example `{"ramp.com": "Ramp Business Corporation"}`.
2. Run it, or schedule it weekly. Export to CSV or Sheets, or send it to your CRM through Make, Zapier or n8n.
3. AI agents can call it through the Apify API or MCP server and get one JSON profile per domain.

### Output example (shortened)

```json
{
  "domain": "mercury.com",
  "companyName": "Mercury",
  "techStack": ["Next.js", "Vercel"],
  "hiring": { "atsProvider": "ashby", "openJobs": 70, "jobsPostedLast30Days": 12 },
  "secFunding": { "secEntityName": "Mercury Technologies, Inc.", "formDFilings": 4, "latestFormDDate": "2026-05-20", "totalAmountSold": 199999824 },
  "googleAds": { "googleAdsFound": 83, "latestAdShown": "2026-10-12" },
  "buyingSignals": ["hiring_actively", "raised_recently_sec_form_d", "running_google_ads"],
  "changesSinceLastRun": { "newJobs": 5, "newFormDFilings": 0, "newGoogleAds": 3, "changed": true }
}
```

### How much does company enrichment cost?

**$30 per 1,000 company profiles delivered** ($0.03 each). Unchanged re-runs and not-found domains are free. There's no subscription and no seat fees. Compare that with company enrichment APIs that need annual contracts.

### FAQ

**Is this a Clearbit or Apollo company enrichment API alternative?** For company-level signals (hiring, funding, ads, tech, socials), yes, priced per profile with no contract. It doesn't provide personal contact data beyond what the company publishes on its own website.

**How accurate is the SEC match?** Matches require an exact SEC entity name, and `secMatchConfidence` tells you how sure the match is. For certainty, add legal names in `companyNames`. Form D only covers US private raises that were filed.

**Why are some sections empty?** Not every company uses a supported job board, files Form D or runs Google ads. Empty sections are data too.

**Can I monitor accounts for buying signals?** Yes. Schedule it weekly and filter on `changesSinceLastRun.changed` or `buyingSignals`.
