## Pricing

from $0.96 / 1,000 apps

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Play Scraper - App Details, Ratings, Installs & Prices

Scrape Google Play app details by package name, developer or category: rating, ratings histogram, installs range, price, in-app purchases, ads, content rating, version, dates, descriptions and screenshots. One flat JSON item per app.

### What it does

- Takes Google Play apps in three ways, which can be combined in one run:
  - `appIds`: package names (`com.spotify.music`) or app page URLs;
  - `developerIds`: developer names (`Spotify AB`), numeric developer IDs or developer page URLs; returns the apps listed on the developer page;
  - `categories`: category IDs (`GAME_PUZZLE`, `COMMUNICATION`...); returns the apps shown on the first page of the category.
- Reads each app's public Google Play page (`/store/apps/details`) and returns its store details as one flat record.
- `country` sets the store (prices, currency, availability) and `language` the language of the texts.
- Apps are deduplicated by package name. `maxItems` caps the total, filled in this order: app IDs, developer apps, category apps.
- Missing values are `null`; `updated` is ISO 8601 UTC.

### Access rules followed

The Actor only requests pages that Google Play's [robots.txt](https://play.google.com/robots.txt) does not disallow for `User-agent: *` (file read on 2026-11-02):

- `/store/apps/details`, `/store/apps/developer`, `/store/apps/dev` and `/store/apps/category/<ID>` are not disallowed;
- `Disallow: /store/search`: there is **no keyword search** in this Actor;
- `Disallow: /_`: the endpoint behind "load more" in app lists is not used, so developer and category lists stop at their **first page**;
- `Disallow: /store/apps/datasafety*` and `Disallow: /store/apps/collection/p3_details_*`: not used.

No login, no account and no captcha solving. The Google Terms of Service only rule out automated access that violates machine-readable instructions such as robots.txt.

### Pricing

Pay-per-event, no start fee: **$1.60 per 1,000 apps** (event `APP`) on the Apify Free plan, lower on paid plans. You only pay for results pushed to the dataset.

| Apify plan | Price per 1,000 apps |
|---|---|
| Free | $1.60 |
| Starter | $1.40 |
| Scale | $1.20 |
| Business | $0.96 |

Set a maximum cost per run in the run options: the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached.

### Limitations

- **No keyword search**: Google Play's robots.txt disallows `/store/search`. Use package names, developers or categories.
- **First page only** for developers and categories: the "load more" endpoint is under `/_`, which robots.txt disallows. A category gives about 30 to 60 apps; a developer page gives the apps Google Play shows on it (6 for Spotify AB, 11 for Google LLC on 2026-11-02), not necessarily the full catalogue.
- Category lists depend on `country` and `language` (34 apps for `GAME_PUZZLE` in `fr`/`fr` against 56 in `en`/`us` on 2026-11-02).
- `installs` is the public range shown by Google Play, not an exact count.
- `version` and `androidVersion` are `null` for apps whose page shows "Varies with device".
- `released` is an ISO date only when `language` is English; otherwise use `releasedText`.
- Apps not available in the selected country are reported as not found and skipped.
- Developer email and postal address are not returned.
