## Pricing

from $0.96 / 1,000 property listings

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Zillow Scraper - Homes for Sale & Rent Listings

Scrape real estate listings from Zillow including prices, Zestimates, property details and agent information. Supports sale and rental listings across US locations.

### What it does

- Takes a search query (city/state, ZIP, or address) and returns structured listing data.
- Extracts property details: price, Zestimate, bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, lot size, home type, status, coordinates.
- Includes broker information when available.
- Supports both for-sale and for-rent listings.
- Uses browser TLS impersonation (curl_cffi) to handle Zillow's anti-bot measures.

### Input

| Parameter | Type | Required | Default | Description |
|-----------|------|----------|---------|-------------|
| `searchQuery` | string | Yes | — | City/state, ZIP code, or address to search |
| `maxItems` | integer | No | 20 | Maximum number of listings to return |
| `listingType` | string | No | sale | Listing type: "sale" or "rent" |

### Output

One dataset item per listing:

```json
{
    "zpid": "58313397",
    "address": "2307 Cheyenne Cir",
    "city": "Austin",
    "state": "TX",
    "zipCode": "78745",
    "price": 995000.0,
    "zestimate": 962200.0,
    "bedrooms": 4,
    "bathrooms": 2.0,
    "sqft": 2049,
    "lotSize": null,
    "homeType": "SINGLE_FAMILY",
    "yearBuilt": null,
    "daysOnZillow": 4,
    "agent": null,
    "brokerName": "Christies Intl Real Estate Lone Star",
    "listingUrl": "https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/2307-Cheyenne-Cir-Austin-TX-78745/58313397_zpid/",
    "imageUrl": "https://photos.zillowstatic.com/fp/3dafce257cca8f790e05deeab8c0f22a-p_e.jpg",
    "latitude": 30.224419,
    "longitude": -97.79659,
    "listingType": "FOR_SALE",
    "statusText": "Active",
    "isBuilding": false,
    "buildingName": null,
    "unitsAvailable": null,
    "currency": "USD",
    "query": "Austin, TX",
    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-21T09:49:59.938875+00:00"
}
```

For rentals, apartment buildings are returned as one item with `isBuilding: true`, `zpid: null`, `buildingName`, `unitsAvailable`, and `price`/`bedrooms` set to the lowest advertised unit rent and bedroom count.

### Pricing

Pay-per-event, **no start fee**: **$1.60 per 1,000 listings** on the Apify Free plan, with lower prices on paid plans. Each listing pushed to the dataset is one event.

| Event | Free | Starter | Scale | Business | Enterprise |
|-------|------|---------|-------|----------|------------|
| Property listing (`LISTING`) | $1.60 | $1.40 | $1.20 | $0.96 | $0.96 |

Prices in USD per 1,000 events.

#### Cost examples (Free plan)

| Scenario | Listings | Cost |
|----------|----------|------|
| Quick look | 40 | $0.064 |
| One city | 500 | $0.80 |
| Several cities | 5,000 | $8.00 |

### Limitations

- US listings only. Zillow does not cover international properties.
- Data comes from Zillow search result pages. Fields only shown on a property's detail page (`yearBuilt`, `agent`) are usually `null`; `lotSize` and `zestimate` are filled only when the search card provides them.
- Zillow shows at most 20 result pages (about 800 listings) per search. Use narrower queries (ZIP codes, neighborhoods) for more.
- Zillow uses PerimeterX bot protection. The Actor tries new datacenter proxy sessions first, then US residential sessions; it never solves challenges. If every attempt is blocked, the run fails with a clear message.
- Rental data coverage varies by market.
