## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Store Products Scraper: Prices, Variants, Store Summary

Export the full product catalog of any Shopify store as a clean table: **every product, price, sale
price, variant (size, color), SKU, stock status, vendor, type, tags and image**. Add many stores at
once, track only new products on a schedule, and get a **free summary per store**.

- **Products:** title, link, vendor, product type, tags, description (plain text), first image,
  number of images, created / updated / published dates
- **Prices:** lowest and highest price, "was" price (compare-at), on-sale flag, store currency
- **Variants:** every size/color with SKU, price, compare-at price, in-stock flag and weight,
  nested in the product or as one row per variant (handy for spreadsheets)
- **Store summary (free):** store name, country, currency, number of products and collections,
  price range and median, how many products are on sale or in stock, top vendors and product
  types, products added in the last 30 days
- **Only new products:** schedule it daily and get just the new arrivals
- **One collection:** paste a collection link (e.g. `…/collections/sale`) to export just that

It reads the **public product data every Shopify store publishes** (`/products.json`, the same
data the storefront shows), one request at a time per store. No login, no browser, no proxies, so
it's fast and cheap.

### Who it's for

- **Ecommerce and dropshipping research:** see a competitor's whole catalog, prices and launches.
- **Price and sale monitoring:** schedule it and compare prices or "on sale" flags over time.
- **Brands and distributors:** check how retailers list and price your products.
- **Market analysis:** compare stores by size, price range and product mix with the summary row.

### Input

| Option | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify stores | – | Store addresses or collection links |
| Collection | – | Only this collection (handle) for every store |
| Max products per store | 1,000 | Stop after this many rows per store |
| One row per | Product | Or one row per variant |
| Include description | on | Product description as plain text |
| Store summary | on | One free summary row per store |
| Only updated in the last N days | 0 (all) | Skip products not updated recently |
| Only new products | off | Skip products returned in earlier runs |

### Output

Product rows (one per product, or per variant):

```json
{
  "store": "https://www.allbirds.com",
  "title": "Women's Allbirds Flip Flop - Dusty Pink",
  "url": "https://www.allbirds.com/products/womens-allbirds-flip-flop-dusty-pink",
  "vendor": "Allbirds",
  "productType": "Shoes",
  "currency": "USD",
  "priceMin": 25,
  "priceMax": 25,
  "compareAtPriceMax": 50,
  "onSale": true,
  "available": true,
  "variantCount": 7,
  "variants": [{"title": "5", "sku": "A12513W050", "price": 25, "available": false}],
  "createdAt": "2026-03-27T14:03:50-07:00"
}
```

Other rows have a `status`:

| status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `store_summary` | The free summary for a store. |
| `not_available` | Not a Shopify store, password-protected, or product data switched off. Not charged. |
| `error` | Something went wrong for that store. Not charged. |

### Pricing

You pay **per product row** (per variant row in variant mode). Summary rows and failed stores are
free. See the Pricing tab.

### Limits, honestly

- Only stores built on **Shopify** work. A few Shopify stores switch the public product data off;
  you'll get a `not_available` row for those.
- Stock is a yes/no flag. Shopify doesn't publish exact stock quantities in this data.
- Stores selling in several countries may show prices in the **visitor's local currency**. Runs
  come from Apify's servers (mostly the US), so you usually get the store's main currency. The
  `currency` field shows the store's main currency.
- Shopify answers "too many requests" if you go too fast; the tool waits and retries on its own.
- You're responsible for how you use the data; respect each store's terms.

# Actor input Schema

## `storeUrls` (type: `array`):

Store addresses, e.g. https://www.allbirds.com. A collection link (…/collections/sale) exports just that collection.

## `collection` (type: `string`):

Only products in this collection handle for every store, e.g. sale or new-arrivals. Leave empty for the whole catalog.

## `maxProductsPerStore` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many rows per store.

## `output` (type: `string`):

Variant rows are billed as one product each.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Product description as plain text.

## `storeSummary` (type: `boolean`):

One extra row per store: product count, price range and median, share on sale, top vendors and product types, new products in the last 30 days.

## `onlyUpdatedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

0 = all products.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

Return only products this tool hasn't returned before for the same store. Great for a daily 'new arrivals' alert.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "storeUrls": [
    "https://www.allbirds.com"
  ],
  "maxProductsPerStore": 1000,
  "output": "products",
  "includeDescription": true,
  "storeSummary": true,
  "onlyUpdatedWithinDays": 0,
  "onlyNew": false
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Products (or variants) plus one summary row per store.
