## Pricing

from $1.50 / 1,000 mlb queries

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## MLB Stats API — schedule, standings, live & rosters (no key)

**Major League Baseball** data straight from the **official MLB Stats API**, behind a clean HTTP API (and MCP tool): the **game schedule** with live status and scores, **division standings**, the **live game feed** (linescore, balls/strikes/outs, current play, winning/losing pitchers) and team **rosters**. Covers **before, during and after** every game. Built for scoreboards, bots, fantasy tools and agents. **No API key.** Pay per query.

- 🗓️ **Schedule** — games for a date (or a team, or a date range) with status, scores and probable pitchers.
- 🏆 **Standings** — AL / NL division standings: W-L, pct, games back, streak.
- 🔴 **Live game** — the live feed for a game: inning, count (balls/strikes/outs), score with hits/errors, current play, and the decision (W/L/save) when final.
- 👥 **Roster** — a team's active roster plus team info.
- ⚾ Official data · no key.

### Before, during & after the game

- **Before:** `schedule` (matchups, probable pitchers, first pitch).
- **During:** `game` — inning, count, live score and the current play, updated in near-real-time.
- **After:** `game` (final linescore + winning/losing/save pitchers) and `standings`.

### Sample output (`schedule`, 2024-10-30)

```json
{
  "ok": true, "date": "2024-10-30", "count": 1,
  "games": [
    { "gamePk": 775296, "status": "Final",
      "away": { "name": "Los Angeles Dodgers", "score": 7 },
      "home": { "name": "New York Yankees", "score": 6 },
      "inning": 9, "venue": "Yankee Stadium" }
  ]
}
```

### How to use

- **HTTP API (Standby):** POST or GET `/schedule`, `/standings`, `/game`, `/roster`. `GET /` returns help. Example: `GET /standings?league=al&season=2024`.
- **Normal run:** pass `{ operation, ... }`; results land in the dataset + key-value store.
- **MCP tool:** expose it to your agent via Apify's MCP server.

### Input

- **operation** — `schedule` · `standings` · `game` · `roster`.
- **date** — YYYY-MM-DD (schedule/game; default today). **team** — id / abbreviation (NYY) / name (Yankees). **gamePk** — a game id (or use team+date). **season** — year (standings). **league** — all / al / nl.

### Pricing

**Per query** from **$0.004** (down to $0.001 on higher tiers). One call = one query.

### FAQ

**Do I need a key?** No — the MLB Stats API is public.

**How live is `game`?** The MLB feed updates in near-real-time during games (roughly play-by-play).

**Can I use team names?** Yes — `team` accepts an id, an abbreviation (NYY) or a name (Yankees).

### Notes & limits
