## Pricing

from $0.16 / 1,000 reviews

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Store & Google Play Reviews Scraper

Get app reviews from the **Apple App Store** and **Google Play** in one clean dataset — rating, title, text, author, date, app version and the developer's reply — with **sentiment**, **reply time** and the app's overall rating added for you. Track your own app, benchmark competitors, or mine complaints for product ideas. Export to JSON, CSV or Excel, or send new reviews to Slack automatically.

**Built for** product managers and app developers, customer-support and community teams, app marketers and ASO specialists, and analysts comparing apps.

### Why this scraper

- **Both stores, one format.** Paste App Store and Google Play links side by side; every review comes back with the same fields, so iOS and Android feedback sit in one table.
- **Ready-to-analyze.** Each review has `sentiment` (from the stars), `textLength`, `hasReply` and `replyDelayDays` — plus the app's name, developer and overall rating — no spreadsheet work needed.
- **Exactly the reviews you need.** Filter by star rating (e.g. 1–2 ★), date, words mentioned (`crash`, `login`), review length, and whether the developer replied — the Actor stops as soon as it has enough matching reviews.
- **Fast and cheap to run.** A small native program — no browser — that runs in 256 MB: hundreds of reviews in a few seconds, for a fraction of a cent of platform usage.
- **More App Store reviews with countries.** The App Store keeps reviews per country; add `us`, `gb`, `de`, `in`… to collect each country's reviews in one run.
- **Review alerts built in.** Schedule it with *Only new reviews* and get just the reviews you haven't seen — perfect for a daily Slack digest.
- **Handles rate limits for you.** Waits as long as a store asks when it says "slow down" (HTTP 429), and retries flaky responses automatically.

### How to use it

1. Paste app links into **Apps** — for example `https://apps.apple.com/us/app/spotify-music-and-podcasts/id324684580` and `https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music`.
2. Optionally add **Countries** and Google Play **languages**, pick a **sort** order, **star ratings**, a start date, words to look for, or *unanswered only*.
3. Press **Start**. Download from the **Output** tab, or connect an integration.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "apps": [
    "https://apps.apple.com/us/app/spotify-music-and-podcasts/id324684580",
    "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music"
  ],
  "countries": ["us", "gb"],
  "sort": "newest",
  "starRatings": ["1", "2"],
  "maxReviewsPerApp": 500
}
```

### What you get

  "replyText": "Hey there! We understand your concern …",
  "sentiment": "negative",
  "hasReply": true,
  "replyDelayDays": 1.0
}
```
### Review alerts on a schedule
Turn on **Only new reviews** and schedule the Actor (hourly or daily). Each run returns only reviews earlier runs haven't delivered — you pay only for new ones. Connect Slack, e-mail, Google Sheets, Zapier or Make to route them to your team.
### Use it as an instant API
The Actor also runs in **Standby mode** — an always-ready endpoint that returns reviews straight in the response. Find the URL on the **Standby** tab:
```bash
curl "https://<standby-url>/?app=com.spotify.music&maxItems=50" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>"
```
### Pricing
Pay per result: about **$0.20 per 1,000 reviews** (lower on higher Apify plans) plus a tiny start fee. Filtered-out, duplicate and already-delivered reviews are free. See the **Pricing** tab, and set a maximum charge per run to cap spend.
On Apify's **free plan** each run returns up to 500 reviews — enough to try everything. Any paid Apify plan removes the limit.
### FAQ
**How many App Store reviews can I get?** Apple shows up to about 500 of the most recent (or most helpful) reviews per country — sometimes fewer. Add more countries to collect more.
**How many Google Play reviews?** Up to 10,000 per app and run, newest or most relevant first.
**Is it legal?** The Actor collects publicly posted reviews. Handle reviewer names responsibly and follow the privacy rules that apply to you.
### Support
Found a problem or need a field that isn't there yet? Open an issue on the **Issues** tab — requests genuinely decide what gets built next.
# Actor input Schema
## `apps` (type: `array`):
App Store or Google Play links, one per line. App Store ids (`id324684580`) and Android package names (`com.spotify.music`) work too. Mix both stores freely.
## `countries` (type: `array`):
2-letter store countries, e.g. `us`, `gb`, `de`, `in`. App Store reviews are separate per country, so each country adds reviews. Google Play uses the first one.
## `language` (type: `array`):
2-letter language codes for Google Play reviews, e.g. `en`, `de`, `es`. Each language adds its own reviews.
## `sort` (type: `string`):
Which reviews to get first.
## `starRatings` (type: `array`):
Keep only reviews with these star ratings, e.g. 1 and 2 for complaints. Leave empty for all.
## `dateFrom` (type: `string`):
Only reviews written on or after this date. With “Newest first”, the Actor stops reading once it passes this date.
## `keywords` (type: `array`):
Keep only reviews whose title or text mentions any of these, e.g. `crash`, `login`, `price`.
## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):
Drop reviews whose title or text mentions any of these.
## `replyStatus` (type: `string`):
Keep all reviews, only those the developer answered, or only unanswered ones (developer replies are available for Google Play).
## `minTextLength` (type: `integer`):
Skip very short reviews (characters).
## `maxReviewsPerApp` (type: `integer`):
Maximum reviews per app (per country for the App Store).
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Maximum reviews in total.
## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):
Return only reviews that no earlier run with the same input has delivered — for daily review alerts. You pay only for new reviews.
## `monitorName` (type: `string`):
Optional name for the “only new” history, so several monitors can run side by side.
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Not needed for most runs.
## `tenantId` (type: `string`):
Optional label used to keep separate histories for different clients or teams.
## `debug` (type: `boolean`):
Save extra diagnostics with the run (for support requests).
