## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Lottery Results — Powerball, Mega Millions & State Lotto

Winning numbers for **13 US lottery games** in one table: **Powerball** (with Double Play), **Mega Millions**, **Millionaire for Life**, Cash4Life, **NY Lotto**, Take 5, Pick 10, Numbers, Win 4, Quick Draw, **Lotto Texas**, Texas Two Step and Cash Five. Draws come with the **estimated jackpot** and **jackpot winners** where published, history goes back to **1980**, and a **number frequency** mode gives hot and cold numbers for any date range.

**Built for** lottery apps and websites, number-analysis and stats sites, newsletters and chat bots, researchers, and AI agents.

### What you get

**Draws** (one row per draw; midday and evening draws are separate rows):

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `game`, `gameName`, `region` | The game and where it is played |
| `drawDate`, `drawTime`, `drawNumber` | When (`midday` / `evening`, or the Quick Draw time and number) |
| `numbers` | Winning numbers, sorted (digit games keep draw order) |
| `bonus`, `bonusName` | Powerball, Mega Ball, Millionaire Ball, Cash Ball, Bonus Ball |
| `multiplier` | Power Play, Quick Draw Extra |
| `doublePlayNumbers`, `doublePlayBonus` | Powerball Double Play |
| `result` | Numbers and Win 4 as drawn, e.g. `0827` |
| `jackpot`, `jackpotText`, `jackpotWinners`, `rolledOver`, `currency` | Estimated jackpot (top prize for Cash Five) and its winners, last ~12 months (Powerball, Mega Millions, Texas games) |

```json
{
```

**Number frequency** (one row per number per pool, ranked): `pool` (main, the bonus ball, or digit position), `number`, `timesDrawn`, `rank` (1 = drawn most), `share` of draws, `evenShare` (what pure chance gives), `lastDrawn`, `drawsSinceLast` (0 = in the latest draw), `draws` counted, `from`, `to`.

### Why this Actor

- **13 games, one shape**: nationwide jackpot games plus New York and Texas games.
- **Jackpots and winners**, not only numbers.
- **Hot and cold numbers** for any period, with the even-odds share to compare against.
- **Deep history**: Numbers and Win 4 from 1980, Lotto Texas and Take 5 from 1992, Mega Millions from 2002, Powerball from 2010.
- **New draws once**: *Only new* + a schedule returns each draw a single time.
- **For AI agents.** Callable as an MCP tool.

### How to use it

Latest Powerball and Mega Millions draws with jackpots:

```json
{ "games": ["powerball", "mega-millions"], "daysBack": 14 }
```

Hot and cold Powerball numbers over the last year:

```json
{ "games": ["powerball"], "dataType": "stats" }
```

Every Win 4 draw in 2025:

```json
{ "games": ["ny-win-4"], "dateFrom": "2025-01-01", "dateTo": "2025-12-31" }
```

New draws feed for a bot (schedule daily):

```json
{ "games": ["powerball", "mega-millions", "millionaire-for-life", "ny-lotto", "lotto-texas"], "daysBack": 3, "onlyNew": true }
```

### Options

| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Games** (`games`) | `powerball`, `mega-millions`, `millionaire-for-life`, `cash4life`, `ny-lotto`, `take-5`, `pick-10`, `ny-numbers`, `ny-win-4`, `quick-draw`, `lotto-texas`, `texas-two-step`, `cash-five` |
| **Data** (`dataType`) | `draws` or `stats` (number frequency) |
| **Days back** (`daysBack`) | Default 30 for draws, 365 for stats |
| **From date** / **To date** (`dateFrom`, `dateTo`) | Exact range (`YYYY-MM-DD`) |
| **Max rows** (`maxItems`) | Most rows per run, shared fairly across games |
| **Only new** (`onlyNew`, `monitorName`) | With a schedule, each run returns only draws earlier runs did not deliver |

### Pricing

**$3 per 1,000 rows** (draws or number-frequency rows), plus a small start fee per run. On the Apify free plan a run returns up to 100 rows.

### Good to know

- Results come from the official state lottery publications and usually appear within a day of the draw.
- Quick Draw runs every four minutes; times after midnight count on the same draw day and run past 24:00 (e.g. `27:24` = 3:24 am).
- Frequency uses each game's current number range; numbers never drawn in the range show `timesDrawn: 0`.
- Cash4Life ended in February 2026; its history stays available.
- Lottery draws are random: frequency describes the past and does not predict the next draw.
