## Pricing

from $1.60 / 1,000 jobs

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Startup Jobs Scraper — Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever

Jobs at startups and tech companies, from their own job boards — as a clean, spreadsheet-ready dataset. Startups hire on Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, Workable and Rippling, and post on Y Combinator's job board. This Actor reads YC's board (with salary, equity and batch) plus hundreds of startup company boards (or the ones you name), in one clean format — salary where published, seniority, skills and remote/hybrid/on-site.

Export to JSON, CSV or Excel, send to Google Sheets or your database, or call it as an API from your own app or AI agent.

**Built for** job seekers targeting startups, recruiters and agencies, VC talent teams tracking portfolio hiring, sales teams selling to fast-growing companies, and startup job boards.

### Why this scraper

- **Straight from the employer.** Jobs come from companies' own job boards, so they're current, complete and link to the real application page.
- **No setup.** Press Start with no input and it scans a directory of verified company boards. Or name companies, or paste their careers pages — the job board behind each page is found for you.
- **One clean format.** Structured city/region/country (ISO code), remote/hybrid/on-site, employment type, seniority, experience, job function, skills, and salary converted to a yearly figure.
- **Monitoring built in.** *Only new jobs* returns just postings earlier runs haven't delivered; *Changes only* adds changed and taken-down jobs. You pay only for what's new.
- **Fast and cheap to run.** A small native program in 256 MB of memory — no browser. Rate limits and server hiccups are handled automatically, and a run never double-charges if it's restarted.

### How to use it

1. Press **Start** to scan the built-in company directory, or fill **Company names** / **Career page URLs** to scan only those companies.
2. Narrow results with the **Filters**: title words, countries, posting age, work mode, seniority, job function, skills mentioned, minimum salary, visa sponsorship, companies to skip.
3. Download results from the **Output** tab, or connect Slack, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make or a webhook.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "titleIncludes": [
    "engineer",
    "product"
  ],
  "seniorities": [
    "senior",
    "lead"
  ],
  "countries": [
    "US"
  ],
  "maxItems": 500,
  "onlyNew": true
}
```

### What you get

| `source` / `scrapedAt` | Where the job came from and when it was collected |

### Monitor new jobs on a schedule

Turn on **Only new jobs** and schedule the Actor (hourly, daily, weekly). Each run returns only postings earlier runs haven't delivered, and you're charged only for those.

### Use it as an instant API

The Actor also runs in **Standby mode** — an always-ready endpoint that returns jobs in the response. Find the URL on the **Standby** tab:

```bash
curl "https://<standby-url>/?titleIncludes=engineer&maxItems=20" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN>"
```

### Pricing

Pay per result: **$2 per 1,000 jobs** plus a small start fee per run. Filtered-out, duplicate and (with *Only new jobs*) already-seen jobs are free. See the **Pricing** tab for exact rates, and set a maximum charge per run to cap spend.

On Apify's **free plan** each run returns up to 500 jobs. Any paid Apify plan removes the limit.

### FAQ

**Which companies are scanned?** With no company given, a directory of 230+ verified boards on the systems startups use (Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, Rippling, Pinpoint, Breezy, BambooHR), biggest first, at most 10 jobs per company. Type company names or paste careers pages to scan exactly those.

**Can I follow a list of companies?** Yes — put them in **Company names** (or **Career page URLs**), turn on **Only new jobs** and schedule the Actor. Each run returns only jobs you haven't seen.

**Is it legal?** The Actor collects publicly listed job postings. You're responsible for how you use the data — for personal data in descriptions, follow the laws that apply to you (e.g. GDPR).

### Support

# Actor input Schema

## `companyNames` (type: `array`):

Leave empty to scan the built-in company directory. Or type company names (`Datadog`, `Ramp`) to scan only those — each is looked up on every supported job board system.

## `careerPageUrls` (type: `array`):

Or paste careers pages — the company's own (`https://www.figma.com/careers`) or its job board (`https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`). The job board behind the page is found automatically.

## `directoryMaxBoards` (type: `integer`):

With no company given: how many directory companies to scan in one run (biggest boards first).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of jobs to return.

## `maxItemsPerSource` (type: `integer`):

Cap per company so one big employer can't fill the list. Directory scans default to 10.

## `titleIncludes` (type: `array`):

Keep a job only if its title contains any of these words (case-insensitive), e.g. `engineer`, `developer`.

## `titleExcludes` (type: `array`):

Drop a job whose title contains any of these words (case-insensitive), e.g. `intern`, `manager`.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs in these countries: 2-letter codes (`US`, `GB`, `DE`, `IN`) or names. The country comes from the board when it gives one, otherwise from the location text.

## `locationIncludes` (type: `array`):

Keep a job only if its location contains any of these (case-insensitive), e.g. `Berlin`, `Remote`.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only jobs posted in the last N days. Jobs whose board doesn't publish a date are kept.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only remote jobs (uses the normalized `workMode`; requires Enrich).

## `workModes` (type: `array`):

Keep only these work arrangements. Jobs whose posting doesn't state it are dropped when this is set.

## `employmentTypes` (type: `array`):

Keep only these employment types.

## `seniorities` (type: `array`):

Keep only these seniority levels.

## `jobFunctions` (type: `array`):

Keep only these job functions (engineering, data, sales, …).

## `descriptionIncludes` (type: `array`):

Keep a job only if its title, description or skills mention any of these, e.g. `Kubernetes`, `Python`, `SQL`.

## `companyExcludes` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs from companies whose name contains any of these, e.g. staffing agencies.

## `minAnnualSalary` (type: `integer`):

Keep jobs paying at least this per year (hourly and monthly pay are converted), in the posting's currency. Jobs that don't publish pay are kept unless “Only jobs with salary” is on.

## `onlyWithSalary` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs that publish their pay.

## `visaSponsorshipOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs whose posting says visa sponsorship is available.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Open each job’s own page for extra fields where the list is thin (e.g. LinkedIn: full description, seniority, employment type, applicant count). Slower — one extra request per job — and only done for jobs that pass your filters.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

Emit only jobs that no earlier run with the same sources (or the same state key) has already delivered. Ideal for scheduled runs — you pay only for new results.

## `changesOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Return only jobs that are new, changed or closed since the last run with the same input (or monitor name): changed jobs carry `changeType: "changed"` and `changes` with the old and new salary, location, title or work mode; jobs taken down come as `changeType: "removed"` (a hiring signal). The first run returns everything as new.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Optional name for the 'only new' history. Runs sharing a name share one history; leave empty to derive it from the sources.

## `includeReferralLinks` (type: `boolean`):

Some marketplaces pay referral bonuses. When available, jobs get an extra `referralUrl` that may credit the Actor’s maintainer. Job links and `applyUrl` are never changed. Turn off to omit the field.

## `delivery` (type: `object`):

Webhook: {"webhookUrl": "https://…", "format": "json" | "slack" | "discord", "onlyWhenResults": true, "includeItems": 10}. Google Sheets: {"spreadsheetId": "<id from the sheet URL>", "sheetName": "Sheet1"} plus the service account key below; share the sheet with the service account's e-mail first. Leave empty to only save results in the dataset.

## `googleServiceAccountJson` (type: `string`):

Only for Google Sheets delivery: paste the service account's JSON key. Stored encrypted; the account sees only sheets you share with it.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional proxy. Recommended for search boards (Naukri/Monster/LinkedIn), which rate-limit aggressively.

## `directoryMinJobs` (type: `integer`):

Skip directory companies with fewer open jobs than this (as of the last directory refresh).

## `enrich` (type: `boolean`):

Normalize every job into one schema: structured location + country code, work mode, employment type, seniority, years of experience, job function, skills, annualized salary, education and visa signals.

## `dedupe` (type: `boolean`):

Drop duplicate postings (by url + title + company).

## `tenantId` (type: `string`):

Optional label used to keep separate histories for different clients or teams.

## `debug` (type: `boolean`):

Save extra diagnostics with the run (for support requests).
