## Pricing

from $0.70 / 1,000 products

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Coles Scraper: Coles Australia prices, specials and unit prices by store

Get Coles Australia products as clean rows: price, was-price, half-price and multibuy specials ("2 for $8"), unit price parsed into a number and a unit (and normalised to $/kg, $/L or $/each), stock, category, image, product link and the store that priced it. Search by keyword, paste any coles.com.au search, category, specials or product link, or pull this week's half-price catalogue.

Turn on **Add barcode, ingredients and nutrition** and every product also gets its barcode (GTIN/EAN), ingredients, allergens, dietary claims, country of origin and nutrition panel.

$1.00 per 1,000 products, platform usage included. No API key, no login, no proxy to configure.

### Who uses this

- **Price trackers and comparison sites.** Daily Coles prices and unit prices for a basket, a category or the whole specials list.
- **FMCG brands and category managers.** See your products and your competitors' on shelf: price, specials, stock and position in search.
- **Deal hunters and newsletter writers.** This week's half-price and multibuy catalogue in one run.
- **Researchers and app builders.** Barcodes, ingredients, allergens and nutrition for food databases and grocery apps.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Search terms | `milk`, `tim tam`, `nappies`, one per line |
| Coles links | A search (`coles.com.au/search/products?q=...`), a category (`coles.com.au/browse/dairy-eggs-fridge/milk`), a specials page (`coles.com.au/on-special`, `coles.com.au/half-price-specials`) or a product page. Sorting and filters in the link are kept. A bare product number works too |
| Specials catalogue | All specials, half price, multibuy or online only, across the whole store |
| Store ID | A Coles store number such as `7685`; empty means Coles' default online store (7674) |
| Max products per search or category | Default 100, up to 10,000 |
| Add barcode, ingredients and nutrition | Opens each product page for the extra fields |

Example: this week's half-price specials and two searches at a Melbourne store, with barcodes.

```json
{
  "searchTerms": ["milk", "tim tam"],
  "specials": "halfprice",
  "storeId": "7685",
  "maxResults": 500,
  "includeDetails": true
}
```

Example: a category plus two product links.

```json
{
  "urls": [
    "https://www.coles.com.au/browse/pantry/breakfast",
    "https://www.coles.com.au/product/coles-full-cream-milk-3l-8150288",
    "8150288"
  ],
  "maxResults": 200
}
```

A product found by several searches is delivered once.

### Pricing

Pay per product delivered, platform usage included, plus a flat start fee per run.

| Plan | Per 1,000 products | Barcode, ingredients and nutrition (per 1,000) | Run start |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Free | $1.00 | $2.50 | $0.001 |
| Bronze | $0.90 | $2.25 | $0.001 |
| Silver | $0.80 | $2.00 | $0.001 |
| Gold | $0.70 | $1.75 | $0.001 |

The details charge applies only to products that actually got them. Product links always come with their details and are charged as a product plus details. Searches with no results cost nothing beyond the start fee. Set a maximum charge per run and the actor stops when it is reached.

### Limits and honest caveats

- **Prices are per store.** Without a Store ID you get Coles' default online store (7674). Coles shows no price for a product that is not sold at the chosen store; such a product link is skipped and named in the run status.
- **Store lookup by postcode is not included.** Find your store's number on coles.com.au/find-stores (it is the number at the end of the store's page address).
- **Coles' own result counts are the proof.** A search Coles has nothing for says "Coles lists 0 products" in the status; a refusal or a site change is reported as such and never as an empty result.
- **Coles limits how much one visitor can browse**, so runs rotate through several connections. Details are one extra page per product, so a run with them on takes several times longer than a plain listing.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Coles account, a proxy or an API key?** No.

**How do I get only half-price specials?** Set Specials catalogue to Half price, or paste `https://www.coles.com.au/half-price-specials`.

**How are multibuys shown?** `specialType` is `multibuy`, `specialText` is Coles' label ("Pick any 2 for $8") and `multibuyQuantity` / `multibuyPrice` hold 2 and 8.

**Why is the unit price in mL but `normalizedUnitPrice` per litre?** `unitPrice` keeps Coles' own measure (per 100 mL); the normalised columns convert everything to per kg, per L or per each so you can sort and compare.

**Can I get barcodes (EAN) for Coles products?** Yes: turn on Add barcode, ingredients and nutrition.

**Why did my run return fewer products than Coles lists?** The status says why: your maximum per search, the run time limit, or a refusal from Coles.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

Products to search on coles.com.au, one per line, e.g. milk, tim tam, nappies. Each search returns products in Coles' own order with price, specials, unit price and stock.

## `urls` (type: `array`):

Filters and sorting in the link are kept. A bare Coles product number works too.

## `specials` (type: `string`):

Also collect this week's specials across the whole store. Half price and multibuy ("2 for $X") are the same filters as on coles.com.au/on-special.

## `storeId` (type: `string`):

Optional Coles store number, e.g. 7685 for Coles Truganina (the number at the end of the store's page on coles.com.au/find-stores). Prices and stock then come from that store. Leave empty for Coles' default online store (7674). Every row says which store priced it.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop each search, category or specials list after this many products. A big category or the full specials list can run to several thousand. You only pay for products delivered.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Opens each product page to add the barcode (EAN/GTIN), ingredients, allergens, dietary claims, country of origin and the nutrition panel. Charged as an extra event per product that gets them. Product links always include them (and are charged for them).
