### 2026-09-01

- Status message now says when entries came without a website and email
  discovery therefore had nothing to read (a 25-name run with emails on used
  to end on a bare "0 with a billable email"), with the input shape that fixes
  it.

### 2026-08-30

- Every run now ends with a status message that says what happened, built by a
  pure function from explicit counters. A registry API that did not answer is
  reported as our outage; "none of these entries matched a company" is now
  reachable only after the registry canary confirms the API is healthy, so an
  outage can never be sold to you as a batch of unknown companies. Misses and
  failed search calls are counted separately and named in the message.

### 2026-07-13

- README: pricing table now discloses the $0.001 actor-start fee (previously said "no minimum", which was stale after the 07-12 floor raise).

- Invalid input no longer fails the run. The run now finishes cleanly with a clear explanation in its status message, so a typo or an empty list is easy to spot and fix.
- List entries now also accept `company`, `companyName`, `company_name` and
  `employer` as the company field, so datasets exported from other scrapers
  (job boards, directories) can be passed in as-is.

  now stops visibly if billing fails instead of continuing unbilled.

  string (`"Decathlon"`), a bare object, a delimited string of names/SIRENs
  (`"552032534, 306138900"`), and top-level `company` / `query` / `siren` /
  `siret` keys are all coerced into the companies list. Only genuinely empty
  input still errors.

- Enrich French companies from a SIREN, SIRET or name using the official register (SIRENE + RNE/INPI): firmographics, VAT, head office, and the named directors on file.
- Find emails from the company website: published addresses, the firm's confirmed email pattern, an MX check, and a best-effort email per director with a confidence level (`published`, `pattern`, `pattern_guess`, `none`).
- Guesses use the domain staff mail actually uses, detected from published addresses, not just the site domain.
- Pay per company matched, and per company where at least one usable email is delivered. Misses are free.
