## Changelog

### 2026-08-30

- Two new filters, **Minimum award amount** and **Maximum award amount**, both
mapped to USAspending's own `award_amounts` filter so the narrowing happens at
the API and you are never charged for rows you would throw away. Verified live
2026-08-30: unfiltered 2026 contracts top out at $51.27bn; with a
1,000–5,000 band the largest row is exactly $5,000; with a $1bn floor the
smallest is $1.0014bn. Either bound works on its own, an inverted pair is
swapped with a warning rather than silently returning nothing, and a
non-numeric value is dropped (the API rejects it outright).
- Every run now finishes with a status message that says what actually
happened, chosen from counters rather than from an empty dataset. A run that
returned nothing now distinguishes: USAspending never answered; it answered
but a control query for every federal contract since 2007 came back with no
rows (an upstream change, ours to fix, never blamed on your search); no award
matches your search; the monitor seeded its baseline; the monitor found
nothing newly awarded. When amount bounds are set, the empty-result message
names them first, since they are the usual cause.
- README: the award price is stated per 1,000 with the real plan-discount steps,
and the flat digest fee is named as flat.

### 2026-08-19

- The User-Agent contact is now the actor's own Apify URL instead of an email
address. Same identification, same reachability (the actor page's Issues tab),
  no published mailbox.

### 2026-07-13

- README: actor-start fee corrected from the old $0.00005 default to the live $0.001 floor.

### 2026-07-12

- Invalid input no longer fails the run. The run now finishes cleanly with a clear explanation in its status message, so a typo or an empty list is easy to spot and fix.
- List inputs now accept datasets piped straight from another scraper: entries
that are objects are read through their usual key names (url/link,
query/keyword/title, name/company and similar) instead of being rejected.

### 2026-07-11

- Billing: on paid runs every row is billed before it is written, and a run
now stops visibly if billing fails instead of continuing unbilled.

### 0.1.0 - 2026-07-09

Initial release.

- Pull US federal contracts, grants, loans, direct payments and other awards from the official USAspending.gov API, no key and no SAM.gov login.
- Filter by award type, awarding agency, recipient name, NAICS code, keyword and place-of-performance state.
- Choose a rolling last-N-days window or a full US federal fiscal year.
- Monitor mode: remembers award IDs across scheduled runs and returns only awards that are new since last time, with an optional Slack-compatible webhook digest.
- Flat, spreadsheet-ready records with a direct link to each award's detail page, sorted by award amount.
