## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does TradingView Screener Scraper do?

It runs the TradingView stock, crypto and forex screeners for you and returns clean rows: price, daily change, market cap, volume, sector, industry, P/E, dividend yield, 1 month and 1 year performance, RSI and the TradingView analyst rating. Pick one of 22 stock markets (US, UK, Germany, India, Japan and more), crypto, or forex, then filter by sector, minimum market cap and any TradingView field. Filters keep runs small, and pricing is per result.

### Data source

The public scanner.tradingview.com JSON endpoint that powers the TradingView screener pages, queried live without a login, so values are as fresh as the TradingView website shows them (some markets are delayed by the exchange).

### Why use it?

- Build watchlists and daily screens (for example large cap tech with P/E under 40) without clicking through the screener.
- Feed valuation, momentum and rating fields into a spreadsheet, dashboard or trading research model.
- Track a whole market or sector on a schedule and diff the results between runs using the stable `id`.
- Replace a paid data export when you only need screener level fields.

### How to use it

1. Open the Actor and set the market and filters.
2. Click Start. Download results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the API.
3. Add a Schedule and an Integration (Slack, Google Sheets, webhook) to get new records automatically.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `market` | Screener to query: `america`, `uk`, `germany`, `canada`, `india`, `japan`, `hongkong`, `crypto`, `forex` and more. Default `america`. |
| `sectors` | Stocks only. Keep these TradingView sectors, for example `Technology Services`, `Finance`, `Health Technology`. |
| `minMarketCap` | Minimum market cap in the market's currency (USD for US stocks and crypto). Ignored for forex. |
| `sortBy` | `marketCap`, `volume`, `changePercent`, `price`, `peRatio`, `dividendYieldPercent`, `perf1m`, `perf1y` or `rsi14`. Highest first. |
| `customFilters` | Advanced. Raw TradingView filters: `left` (field), `operation` (`greater`, `egreater`, `less`, `eless`, `equal`, `nequal`, `in_range`, `not_in_range`), `right` (value). |
| `extraColumns` | Extra TradingView field names to include under `extra` on every record, for example `price_sales_current`. |
| `maxResults` | Hard stop for the run. You are billed per result, so this caps the cost. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Apify proxy is optional. The public endpoint works without it for normal volumes. |

Example input:

```json
{
    "market": "america",
    "sectors": ["Technology Services", "Electronic Technology"],
    "minMarketCap": 10000000000,
    "sortBy": "marketCap",
    "customFilters": [{ "left": "price_earnings_ttm", "operation": "less", "right": 40 }],
    "extraColumns": ["price_sales_current", "return_on_equity"],
    "maxResults": 100
}
```

### Output

Every record has the same shape for a given market type:

```json
{
    "id": "NASDAQ:NVDA",
    "symbol": "NVDA",
    "companyName": "NVIDIA Corporation",
    "exchange": "NASDAQ",
    "price": 233.95,
    "changePercent": 1.3385,
    "volume": 135164690,
    "marketCap": 5638194926453,
    "sector": "Electronic Technology",
    "industry": "Semiconductors",
    "currency": "USD",
    "peRatio": 29.5742,
    "dividendYieldPercent": 0.2252,
    "perf1m": 6.9315,
    "perf1y": 23.3914,
    "rsi14": 62.8974,
    "analystRating": 0.5121,
    "url": "https://www.tradingview.com/symbols/NASDAQ-NVDA/",
    "extra": { "price_sales_current": 18.505, "return_on_equity": 117.2107 },
    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-03T08:17:53.368Z"
}
```

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `id` | Stable key (exchange and symbol), safe for deduplication between runs |
| `price`, `changePercent`, `volume` | Last price, daily change in percent, daily volume |
| `marketCap` | Market capitalization in the listing currency |
| `peRatio`, `epsTtm`, `dividendYieldPercent` | Valuation fields (stocks) |
| `perf1w` to `perf1y`, `perfYtd` | Performance in percent over each window |
| `rsi14` | 14 period RSI |
| `analystRating` | TradingView technical rating from -1 (strong sell) to 1 (strong buy) |
| `extra` | Any extra fields you requested |

Crypto records use `pairName`, `circulatingSupply` and `totalSupply`. Forex records use `high` and `low`.

### Pricing

Pay per event: a small fee when a run starts, then a fixed price per result returned. You only pay for records that pass your filters. Set `maxResults` to cap any run.

### Limitations

- Only fields exposed by the public screener endpoint are available. Fields that need a TradingView account are not included.
- Stock markets return primary listings of type stock only (no ETFs, funds or secondary listings).
- The sector filter applies to stock markets only. Crypto and forex have no sectors.
- Exchange data can be delayed for some markets, the same as on the TradingView website.
- Unknown field names in `extraColumns` come back as `null`.

### FAQ

**Is this legal?** The Actor reads listings the site publishes for any visitor without a login and stores only business information published for that purpose. You are responsible for how you use the data.

**Something is missing or broken?** Open an issue in the Issues tab; response time is usually under a day.
