## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does UN Global Marketplace (UNGM) Tender Notices Scraper do?

It collects open procurement notices that UN agencies publish on the UN Global Marketplace (UNGM). Each record has the title, agency, notice type, beneficiary countries, published date, deadline with time zone offset, reference number, notice link, full description, contact emails, attached document links and UNSPSC product and service codes. Filters for keywords, country, agency, notice type, UNSPSC prefix and publication age keep runs small, and pricing is per result.

### Data source

The public UNGM notice search (ungm.org/Public/Notice) and each notice's public detail page, read live on every run without a login.

### Why use it?

- Supplier and consultancy sales teams: get new UN tenders for your country, agency or UNSPSC category into a sheet or CRM every day.
- Bid monitoring: schedule the Actor and send new notices to Slack or email through an Integration.
- Market research: see which agencies buy what, where, and how often, using the UNSPSC codes and countries.
- Replaces manual browsing of the UNGM search form and copying details one notice at a time.

### How to use it

1. Open the Actor and set the filters.
2. Click Start. Download results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the API.
3. Add a Schedule and an Integration (Slack, Google Sheets, webhook) to get new records automatically.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `keywords` | Text that must appear in the notice title. |
| `countries` | Beneficiary country names as shown on UNGM, for example `Kenya`. Empty means all. |
| `agencies` | Agency abbreviations as shown on UNGM, for example `UNDP`, `FAO`, `WFP`. Empty means all. |
| `noticeTypes` | Notice types, for example `InvitationToBid`, `RequestForProposal`, `RequestForQuotation`. Empty means all. |
| `unspscCodes` | Keep only notices with a UNSPSC code starting with one of these prefixes, for example `4210`. Uses notice details. |
| `publishedWithinDays` | Only notices published in the last N days. |
| `includeClosed` | Also return notices past their deadline. Default off. |
| `fetchDetails` | Adds description, contacts, documents and UNSPSC codes. Default on. Turn off for a faster list only. |
| `maxResults` | Hard stop for the run. You are billed per result, so this caps the cost. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Apify proxy is recommended for larger runs. |

Example input:

```json
{
    "keywords": "supply",
    "countries": ["Kenya"],
    "agencies": ["UNICEF", "WFP"],
    "maxResults": 30
}
```

### Output

Every record has the same shape:

```json
{
    "id": "ungm:318526",
    "title": "RFQ-30000035357 for Supply & Delivery of ICT Equipment",
    "agency": "IOM",
    "noticeType": "Request for quotation",
    "countries": ["Kenya"],
    "publishedDate": "2026-10-16",
    "deadline": "2026-10-26T10:00:00+00:00",
    "reference": "30000035357",
    "url": "https://www.ungm.org/Public/Notice/318526",
    "description": "IOM Kenya invites quotations for the supply and delivery of various ICT equipment as detailed in Annex 1 of this RFQ...",
    "contacts": [],
    "unspscCodes": [{ "code": "43211503", "name": "Notebook computers" }],
    "documents": [],
    "deadlineRaw": "26-Oct-2026 10:00 (GMT 0.00)",
    "noticeId": "318526",
    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-19T08:44:28.681Z"
}
```

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `id` | Stable key (`ungm:` plus the notice id), safe for deduplication between runs |
| `title`, `agency`, `noticeType` | As published on UNGM |
| `countries` | Beneficiary countries or territories |
| `publishedDate` | ISO date |
| `deadline` | ISO date time with the offset UNGM states for the notice. `deadlineRaw` keeps the original text. |
| `reference` | The agency's own reference number |
| `description` | Plain text notice description |
| `contacts` | Contact names or emails the notice publishes |
| `unspscCodes` | Eight digit UNSPSC codes with names |
| `documents` | Names and links of attached documents (UNGM may ask for a free account to download the files) |

### Pricing

Pay per event: a small fee when a run starts, then a fixed price per result returned. You only pay for records that pass your filters. Set `maxResults` to cap any run.

### Limitations

- The scraper paces itself to about 30 requests per minute because UNGM rate limits faster clients. A run with details takes roughly 2 seconds per notice.
- Only notices in the public search are covered. Notices restricted to registered vendors are not visible.
- Some notices publish no contact or documents, so those fields can be empty.
- Document files are linked, not downloaded.
- UNSPSC filtering happens after the detail page is read, so a narrow code prefix with a broad search can need many requests before enough matches are found.

### FAQ

**Is this legal?** The Actor reads listings the site publishes for any visitor without a login and stores only business information published for that purpose. You are responsible for how you use the data.

**Something is missing or broken?** Open an issue in the Issues tab; response time is usually under a day.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `string`):

Only notices whose title contains this text. Leave empty for all notices.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Country names as shown on UNGM, for example Afghanistan or Kenya. Leave empty for all countries.

## `agencies` (type: `array`):

Agency abbreviations as shown on UNGM, for example UNDP, FAO, UNICEF, WFP. Leave empty for all agencies.

## `noticeTypes` (type: `array`):

Limit to some notice types. Leave empty for all.

## `unspscCodes` (type: `array`):

Keep only notices with at least one UNSPSC code starting with one of these, for example 4210 (medical equipment) or 72 (building services). Needs notice details, which are then always fetched.

## `publishedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only notices published in the last N days. Leave empty for no date limit.

## `includeClosed` (type: `boolean`):

By default only notices that are still open are returned.

## `fetchDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Adds description, contacts, documents and UNSPSC codes. One extra request per notice, so runs are slower. Turn off for a fast list only.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Hard stop for the run. You are billed per result, so this caps the cost.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify proxy is recommended for larger runs.
