## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Flipkart Scraper extracts **product listings from Flipkart.com**, India's largest marketplace, for any **search term or category page**. For each product you get the **selling price, MRP, discount %, rating, number of ratings and reviews, the 1-5 star breakup, key specs, stock status, F-Assured badge, Bestseller tag, sponsored flag, bank and exchange offers, category and images**. Sort by price, popularity or newest, set a price range, and collect up to 1,000 products per search, without a login or API key.

### What you get

- Search by keyword (e.g. `iphone`, `running shoes`, `air fryer`) or paste Flipkart search and category URLs with your own filters.
- Sort: relevance, popularity, price low to high, price high to low, newest.
- Price range filter, double-checked on every product (Flipkart's own filter lets some items through).
- Rich fields: price, MRP, discount, rating, ratings and reviews count, star breakup, key specs, F-Assured, Bestseller, sponsored, offers, warranty, stock, images.
- Up to 25 pages per search; duplicates removed; optional exclusion of sponsored listings.
- Fair billing: only saved products are charged; no start fee.

### How to use Flipkart Scraper

1. Enter **Search terms** and/or paste **Flipkart URLs** (search or category pages; product pages are not supported).
2. Optionally set **Sort by**, **Min/Max price (₹)** and **Max products per search**.
3. Run the Actor and export to JSON, CSV or Excel, or send results to Google Sheets, Make, Zapier or an AI agent.

- Price monitoring and MAP compliance for brands selling on Flipkart; schedule daily runs.
- Competitor and assortment research for D2C brands and sellers.
- Discount and deal tracking (MRP vs selling price) for deal sites and Telegram channels.
- Market research: ratings, review counts and specs across a category.
- Ad monitoring: see which products are sponsored for your keywords.

### How much does Flipkart Scraper cost?

This Actor uses **pay-per-event** pricing: **$0.0008 per product** ($0.8 per 1,000). Platform usage is included. There is no start fee. Searches that find nothing and products outside your price range are free.

Set **Maximum cost per run** in the run options to cap your spend; the Actor stops when the limit is reached.

### Use Flipkart Scraper with AI agents (MCP)

Give Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client this Actor as a tool through the hosted [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com):

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http apify "https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=technicaldost/flipkart-scraper-products-prices" --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN"
```

Or in a JSON MCP config:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "apify": {
      "url": "https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=technicaldost/flipkart-scraper-products-prices",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" }
    }
  }
}
```

The tool is named `technicaldost--flipkart-scraper-products-prices`. Ask your agent, for example, to *"run Flipkart Scraper with {"searchTerms": \["iphone"], "maxProductsPerSearch": 100, "sortBy": "popularity"}"*.

for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item)
```
```

### Integrations

Schedule runs (daily, hourly) in Apify Console and send results to Google Sheets, Slack, Make, Zapier, n8n, Airbyte or your own webhook.

### FAQ

#### Do I need a Flipkart account?

No. The Actor reads public search and category pages.

#### Which price is returned?

price is the selling price shown on the search page (INR); mrp is the strikethrough MRP; discountPercent is Flipkart's discount. Card-specific bank offers are listed in offers, not deducted.

#### Can I scrape a single product page or reviews?

Not in this version: Flipkart rate-limits product pages heavily. Search and category pages already include price, rating, review counts, star breakup and key specs.

#### How many products per search?

Up to 1,000 (Flipkart shows about 25 pages of 24-40 products).

#### Why are some ratings empty?

New products without ratings have rating, ratingsCount and ratingBreakup set to null.

#### Is it legal to scrape this data?

The Actor collects publicly available information only and does not log in or bypass access controls. Use the data in line with the website's terms and the laws that apply to you, especially when processing personal data.
