## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Reclame Aqui Scraper extracts consumer complaints and company reputation from [Reclame Aqui](https://www.reclameaqui.com.br), Brazil's largest complaints and reputation platform. Enter company names (or Reclame Aqui company URLs) and get each complaint's **title, full text, status, whether it was solved, whether the consumer would deal again, consumer score, whether the company replied, category, product, problem type, city and date**, together with the company's **Reclame Aqui score, solved rate, reputation level and total complaints**. Built for customer-experience teams, competitor monitoring and market research in Brazil. Personal data stays masked as on the site.

### What you get

- Search companies by name, shortname or Reclame Aqui URL; the best match is chosen automatically.
- Complaint title and full text, status (pending, answered, resolved), solved, would-deal-again and consumer score.
- Category, product and problem names, consumer city and state, created and updated dates, and the complaint link.
- Company reputation on every row: score (0-10), solved percentage, reputation level (e.g. RA1000), total complaints, CNPJ and website.
- Company-only mode: set Maximum complaints to 0 to get one reputation row per company.
- Newest complaints first; up to 10,000 per company.

### Use cases

- Customer experience: monitor new complaints about your brand and track the solved rate.
- Competitor intelligence: compare reputation scores and complaint topics across competitors.
- Market research and due diligence on Brazilian companies (CNPJ, score, complaint volume).
- Train or evaluate AI models on real Portuguese customer complaints.

### How much does Reclame Aqui Scraper cost?

This Actor uses **pay-per-event** pricing: **$0.004 per complaint** ($4 per 1,000). Platform usage is included. Company reputation rows (when Maximum complaints is 0) cost the same per company. Companies that are not found are free.

Set **Maximum cost per run** in the run options to cap your spend; the Actor stops when the limit is reached.

### Use Reclame Aqui Scraper with AI agents (MCP)

Give Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client this Actor as a tool through the hosted [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com):

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http apify "https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=technicaldost/reclame-aqui-scraper-complaints" --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN"
```

Or in a JSON MCP config:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "apify": {
      "url": "https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=technicaldost/reclame-aqui-scraper-complaints",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" }
    }
  }
}
```

The tool is named `technicaldost--reclame-aqui-scraper-complaints`. Ask your agent, for example, to *"run Reclame Aqui Scraper with {"companies": \["Nubank"], "maxComplaintsPerCompany": 20}"*.

### FAQ

#### Which companies are supported?

Any company listed on Reclame Aqui. Type its name as you would search on the site, or paste the company page URL for an exact match.

#### Is personal data included?

No. Consumer names, emails and contact details are not exported; texts are the masked versions Reclame Aqui publishes. Only the consumer's city and state are included, as shown on the site.

#### What order are complaints returned in?

Newest first, as on the company's complaint list.

#### Why does the Actor use Brazilian residential proxies?

Reclame Aqui blocks many data-center IPs. The Actor uses Apify residential proxies in Brazil by default, which is included in the price.

#### Is it legal to scrape this data?

The Actor collects publicly available information only and does not log in or bypass access controls. Use the data in line with the website's terms and the laws that apply to you, especially when processing personal data.
