## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## TikTok Shop Seller Info Scraper

The Actor looks up one TikTok Shop seller by `seller_id` and `region` and saves their storefront profile — shop name, star rating, follower and video counts, and total units and products sold — straight from the seller's storefront.

```json
{
  "seller_id": "7495516049083828882",
  "region": "US"
}
```

### Accepted input

`seller_id` accepts either the bare numeric ID or a shop page URL and is required. `region` is `US` only. Seller storefront pages exist on TikTok's US storefront alone — other storefronts return nothing — so no other region is offered here.

### Result fields

The response is the shop record itself rather than a record nested under a `shop_info` key elsewhere — `shop_info` here holds the same data unflattened, for anything not broken out into its own field. `seller_id` and `global_seller_id` are usually identical; `global_seller_id` is the ID as TikTok's global commerce system records it. `sold_count` and `global_sold_count` both describe total units sold but come from different counters and are not guaranteed to match exactly. `on_sell_product_count` is the number of products currently listed. `review_count`, `shop_rating`, `followers_count`, and `video_count` describe the shop's standing, and `shop_link` is the public storefront URL.

```json
{
  "seller_id": "7495516049083828882",
  "shop_name": "Maybelline New York",
  "shop_rating": "4.3",
  "sold_count": 2012919,
  "on_sell_product_count": 29,
  "review_count": 187619,
  "followers_count": "1120898",
  "video_count": "1140"
}
```

This is a trimmed, live-verified result; some fields arrive as numbers and others as numeric strings exactly as the source returns them — `sold_count` is a number while `global_sold_count`, `followers_count`, and `video_count` are strings.

### Sellers that do not exist

A `seller_id` TikTok Shop reports as not found produces no dataset record rather than an error row; the run still finishes normally with zero items saved.
