## Pricing

from $2.10 / 1,000 app checkeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## App Details Tracker: Google Play + App Store, updates and ratings

Store data for **Android and iOS apps in one row format**: rating, rating count, **star histogram**, installs (Google Play), version, update date,
release notes, size, minimum OS, age rating, price. Put competitors' apps in one list, schedule it, and switch on `onlyChanges`:
you then get (and pay for) only apps that **released a new version, moved in rating, passed an install milestone or changed price**.

**Typical uses:** competitor update tracking for app marketers and ASO · rating watch for your own apps on both stores · investor and analyst app dashboards.

### Input

```json
{ "apps": ["com.whatsapp", "https://apps.apple.com/us/app/whatsapp-messenger/id310633997", "com.mojang.minecraftpe", "id479516143"], "country": "us", "onlyChanges": true }
```

Google Play: package name or store URL. App Store: store URL or `id…`. Both stores in one run.

### Example (real run, 22 Oct 2026)

8 inputs → 6 apps (2 unknown package names reported as not found). Minecraft on Google Play:

```json
{
 "store": "googleplay",
 "appId": "com.mojang.minecraftpe",
}
```

Same run, WhatsApp on the App Store: version **26.41.74** from **2026-10-19**, rating 4.7 from 18,820,070 ratings, 411.2 MB, iOS 15.1 or later.
A second run with `onlyChanges` right after: **0 apps reported, 3 unchanged, nothing charged**.

### What counts as a change

New version · rating move ≥ `ratingChangeStep` (default 0.01) · higher Google Play install bucket · title change · price change.
Each reported row has `changes[]`, `previous` and `ratingCountDelta` (new ratings since the last run).

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.003 per app reported** on the free plan, −10/−20/−30 % on higher Apify plans. Unchanged apps in monitoring mode, not-found and failed apps are never charged.

### Data, fair use and limits

- Reads only the public app pages (`play.google.com/store/apps/details`, `apps.apple.com/<country>/app/…`), which robots.txt allows. No search endpoints, no private APIs, no login.
- **No personal data:** developer e-mail, address and phone shown on store pages are never read; only the published developer/seller name.
- Google Play shows **"Varies with device"** for some apps instead of one version (`version: null`, `versionNote` says so). Installs are Google's buckets (`installsMin`) plus Google's own estimate; Apple publishes no installs.
- Ratings and versions differ per country; use `country` per run.

# Actor input Schema

## `apps` (type: `array`):

Google Play package names or URLs (com.whatsapp) and App Store URLs or ids (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/…/id310633997, id310633997). Mix both stores freely.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter store country (us, de, gb, jp …). Ratings, versions and prices can differ per country.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language for Google Play texts such as release notes and category.

## `onlyChanges` (type: `boolean`):

Monitoring mode: from the second run on, report an app only when its version, rating (by at least the step below), install milestone, title or price changed. Unchanged apps are not charged.

## `ratingChangeStep` (type: `number`):

Smallest rating move that is reported as a change in monitoring mode.

## `delayMs` (type: `integer`):

Politeness delay between store pages.

## `stateStoreName` (type: `string`):

Named key-value store that keeps the last values per app and country for change detection.
