## Pricing

from $0.21 / 1,000 reviews

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Apple Podcasts Scraper: reviews, top charts and search with RSS feed URLs

Export **Apple Podcasts customer reviews** (stars, title, text, date, author, helpful votes, country store), the **Top Podcasts chart of any country** and **podcast search results** with artist, genres, episode count, latest episode date and the show's **RSS feed URL**. Uses Apple's own public feeds — no login, no API key, no browser.

**Typical uses:** read what listeners criticise about a competing show · track a show's ratings by country · find shows in a niche (keyword search) with their RSS feeds for outreach or analysis · daily chart snapshots for ranking history · sponsorship and ad-agency research.

### Input

```json
{ "podcasts": ["https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-daily/id1200361736"], "reviewCountries": ["us", "gb"], "maxReviewsPerPodcast": 100,
  "searchTerms": ["true crime"], "searchLimit": 10, "chartCountries": ["us", "de"], "chartLimit": 25 }
```

- **podcasts**: Apple Podcasts URLs or numeric IDs. **searchTerms**: keyword search. **chartCountries**: two-letter codes.
- **reviewCountries**: every country store has its own reviews. Apple publishes the **500 most recent reviews per podcast and country**.
- **minRating / maxRating / sinceDate**: e.g. `1`–`2` stars only, or only reviews since a date.
- **reviewsForCharts**: also read the reviews of every chart podcast.

### Output (real run, 5 Nov 2026)

Review row:

```json
{ "type": "review", "podcastId": "1200361736", "podcastName": "The Daily", "reviewCountry": "us", "reviewId": "14746491435", "rating": 5,
  "title": "REALLY Important resource", "text": "Sometimes I look at the story of the day …", "author": "NotaPollyana", "date": "2026-11-03T09:04:02-07:00", "helpfulVotes": 0, "totalVotes": 0 }
```

Podcast row: `{"type":"podcast","name":"The Daily","artist":"The New York Times","genres":["Daily News","News"],"episodeCount":2770,"latestEpisodeAt":"2026-11-04T10:51:00Z","feedUrl":"https://feeds.simplecast.com/Sl5CSM3S"}`.
Chart row: `{"type":"chart","chartCountry":"us","rank":1,"name":"The Daily","artist":"The New York Times","genres":["News"]}`.
Test run: 1 podcast by URL + search "true crime" (3 shows) + charts US and DE (10 each), up to 60 reviews per show and country (US, GB): **499 rows** — 475 reviews, 20 chart rows, 4 podcast rows.

### Price

Pay per result: **$0.0003 per review** (about $0.30 per 1,000) and **$0.0005 per podcast or chart row**; volume tiers are cheaper. A tiny start fee applies per run. Set a maximum cost per run; the run stops cleanly when it is reached.

### Notes

- Reads only Apple's public JSON endpoints (Search/Lookup API, customer-review feed, Apple Marketing Tools chart feed). The Search API allows about 20 calls per minute, so the default pause is 1.5 s.
- Review authors are the public display names Apple shows next to reviews. Not affiliated with Apple.
