## Pricing

from $0.21 / 1,000 app scrapeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Play Apps Scraper · $0.30 per 1,000 apps

Google Play app data in bulk, without a login: **whole categories, developer catalogs, similar apps** or your own app list, in **any country**.
One row per app and country with rating, rating count, star histogram, installs, price, in-app purchases, ads, content rating, version, update date, release notes and developer.

### What you can do

- **Category lists:** `GAME_PUZZLE`, `HEALTH_AND_FITNESS`, `FINANCE` ... → every app on the category page, with its position (`positionInSource`).
- **Developer catalogs:** `"Google LLC"`, a numeric developer id or a developer URL → the apps on the developer's page.
- **Competitor lists:** turn on *Add similar apps* → the apps Google Play shows as similar (one level, up to 12 per app).
- **Country comparison:** several countries → one row per app and country (prices, ratings, availability differ).

### Input example

```json
{ "categories": ["GAME_PUZZLE"], "developers": ["Google LLC"], "countries": ["us", "de"], "maxApps": 200 }
```

### Output (one row)

`appId, title, developer, developerId, developerUrl, category, categoryId, rating, ratingCount, histogram{1..5}, installs, installsMin, installsEstimate, free, price, currency, inAppPurchases, containsAds, contentRating, version, updatedAt, releasedOn, summary, releaseNotes, icon, country, language, discoveredVia (input|developer|category|similar), source, positionInSource, url, scrapedAt`

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.30 per 1,000 app rows** (+ a tiny start fee). Not-found apps, failed pages, duplicates and status rows are never charged. `maxApps` caps every run.

### Honest limits

- Category and developer pages show the apps Google Play features there (about 20–60 per page), **not** the complete catalog behind them. Use several countries and categories for more.
- No keyword search and no search-rank tracking: Google Play's search pages are disallowed in its robots.txt, so this Actor does not use them.
- No developer e-mail, address or phone number is read or written.
- `version` is empty when Google Play shows "Varies with device".

# Actor input Schema

## `categories` (type: `array`):

Google Play category ids, e.g. GAME_PUZZLE, HEALTH_AND_FITNESS, FINANCE, PRODUCTIVITY (the id is the last part of a category URL). Each category page lists its featured apps; positionInSource keeps the order.

## `developers` (type: `array`):

Developer name exactly as on Google Play ("Google LLC"), the numeric id, or a developer page URL. Returns the apps on the developer's page.

## `apps` (type: `array`):

Package ids (com.whatsapp) or Play URLs.

## `includeSimilarApps` (type: `boolean`):

Also scrape the apps Google Play shows as similar on each found app's page (one level, up to 12 per app). Good for competitor lists.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

2-letter country codes. One row per app and country (prices, ratings and availability differ by country).

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language of titles, summaries and release notes (en, de, es, pt-BR ...).

## `maxApps` (type: `integer`):

Stops after this many app rows (all countries together). Each row is one charged event.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

App pages read at the same time (1-8).

## `delayMs` (type: `integer`):

Polite pause after every page.
