## Pricing

$500.00 / 1,000 daily source reports

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Daily Property Pricing Reports

Read a ready-made daily report on observed properties asking-price movements for one source. Each report includes calculated facts, a short AI-assisted brief, and links to the underlying listings. Press **Start** with the default input for one recent report.

### What you receive

Each dataset item identifies its UTC report date, source, country, currency, and sale or rental market. `facts` contains verified price increases and decreases, a median percentage change across those verified changes, scraper coverage, and an explicit denominator note. `brief` is an evidence-linked explanation. `evidence` contains the original listing URLs and before-and-after asking prices. Reports have a revision number if late observations caused a corrected report to be published.

These are observed **asking prices**, not completed sale prices or valuations. A source report does not claim that the whole market rose or fell. A source with too few comparable changes, unreliable scraping, or suspect data has no paid report for that date.

### Find reports

Leave the input empty for one recent report. Enter a country such as `ZA`, an exact source slug, and optional UTC dates to narrow the search. Select `for-sale` or `to-rent` to keep property markets separate. `max_reports` accepts 1–30. Enable **Check availability without buying** to see a count with no paid report content. An empty match has no report charge.

```json
{"countries":["ZA"],"max_reports":1}
```

The run's `OUTPUT` record contains the delivered count and `next_continuation_token`. Copy that token into the next run with the same filters to continue. Brief network interruptions are retried. A lasting API outage fails the run before any report is written. For scheduled checks, set `require_results=true` and `fresh_within_days=1` so the run fails when the latest report is older than yesterday.

### Use the Apify API

This example uses `apify-client` 3.x.

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("thescrapelab/daily-property-price-reports").call(
    run_input={"countries": ["ZA"], "max_reports": 1}
)
for report in client.dataset(run.default_dataset_id).iterate_items():
    print(report["report_date"], report["source"], report["brief"]["headline"])
```

### Price

The introductory price is **$0.50 per report delivered to the dataset**. One default report costs $0.50 in result charges; 30 reports cost at most $15 in result charges, subject to the displayed Apify pricing and your spending limit. Availability checks and empty results have no report charge. The report is precomputed; customer runs do not trigger a new AI generation.

# Actor input Schema

## `sources` (type: `array`):

Exact source slugs, up to ten. Leave empty for all sources.

## `date_from` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD UTC; at most 30 days before the To date.

## `date_to` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD UTC. Leave dates empty for recent reports.

## `max_reports` (type: `integer`):

One report is $0.50. Up to 30 reports per run.

## `estimate_only` (type: `boolean`):

Count matching reports without returning paid report content.

## `require_results` (type: `boolean`):

Useful for scheduled monitoring.

## `fresh_within_days` (type: `integer`):

Fail if the newest matching report is older than this many UTC days. Useful for health checks.

## `continuation_token` (type: `string`):

Copy from the previous run OUTPUT record. Keep other filters unchanged.

## `markets` (type: `array`):

Keep sale and rental reports separate. Leave empty for both.

# API

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("thescrapelab/daily-property-price-reports").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
