## Pricing

from $0.20 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## eBay Search Scraper

Collect eBay.com search results for any keyword with price, shipping cost, condition, item location, quantity sold and a clear sponsored flag. Use the same filters and sort orders as the eBay website, page through results, and run many keywords with their own filters in one batch.

### What data can you extract?

| Field | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `product_id` | String | eBay item ID of the listing. Use it as input for the eBay Item Details Scraper. |
| `title` | String | Listing title as the seller wrote it. |
| `link` | String | URL of the listing on eBay.com. |
| `price` | Object | `raw` price text as shown on eBay ("$29.99", or a range such as "$10.00 to $15.00"), `extracted` number and `currency` code. |
| `price_value` | Number or null | Item price as a number, copied from `price.extracted` for easy sorting and export. |
| `currency` | String or null | Currency code of the price, usually USD. |
| `shipping` | Object or null | `raw` delivery text, `extracted` cost and `currency`. Null when the result card shows no delivery price, for example for local pickup. |
| `shipping_cost` | Number or null | Delivery cost as a number, copied from `shipping.extracted`. |
| `subtitle` | String or null | Line under the title, usually the condition such as Brand New, Open Box or Pre-Owned. |
| `sponsored` | Boolean | True when eBay shows the listing as a paid, sponsored placement. |
| `location` | String or null | Country the item ships from. Null when eBay does not show it on the result card. |
| `quantity_sold` | Integer or null | Number of units sold, when eBay shows a sold count on the card. |
| `thumbnail` | String | URL of the listing image shown in the results. |
| `input_query` | String | Keywords from the input that produced this row. |
| `scraped_at` | String | UTC date and time when this record was collected. |

### Use cases

- Resellers can check current asking prices and sold counts before they list or buy stock.
- Brands can find listings of their products and see which sellers and countries they come from.
- Price trackers can run the same search every day and follow price changes over time.
- Analysts can compare new, used and refurbished prices for one product category.

### How to use

1. Add one keyword per entry to `queries`. Add filters such as `price_max` inside an entry to use them only for that keyword.
2. Set shared filters such as `condition`, `free_shipping` or `sort` once for all keywords.
3. Set `maxPages` for more result pages per keyword and `maxResults` to cap the saved listings for the whole run.

```json
{
  "queries": [
    {
      "query": "coffee maker"
    }
  ],
  "maxResults": 20
}
```

### Input

| Field | Type | Required | Description |

| `queries[].query` | string | Yes per entry | Keywords as you would type them into the eBay search box, for example coffee maker. |
| `queries[].category` | integer | No | eBay category ID, for example 38250 for Coffee, Tea & Espresso Makers. Leave empty or use 0 for all categories. |
| `queries[].condition` | Array\<string> | No | Only listings in these conditions. Select one or more. Leave empty for any condition. |
| `queries[].price_min` | number | No | Lowest item price in US dollars, without shipping. |
| `queries[].price_max` | number | No | Highest item price in US dollars, without shipping. |
| `queries[].buy_it_now` | boolean | No | Only fixed-price Buy It Now listings. |
| `queries[].auction` | boolean | No | Only auction listings. |

| `queries[].location_postal` | string | No | US ZIP code used for delivery prices and the Distance sort, for example 10001. |
| `queries[].sort` | string | No | Order of the results, as on eBay. Leave empty for Best Match. |
| `queries[].per_page` | string | No | Listings per eBay result page. Larger pages need fewer requests for the same number of listings. Defaults to 60. |
| `category` | integer | No | eBay category ID, for example 38250 for Coffee, Tea & Espresso Makers. Leave empty or use 0 for all categories. |
| `condition` | Array\<string> | No | Only listings in these conditions. Select one or more. Leave empty for any condition. |
| `price_min` | number | No | Lowest item price in US dollars, without shipping. |

### Pricing

$0.30 per 1,000 results. Apify saves one dataset item per result and applies the Actor’s per-result price to saved items.

Pagination follows the source response. Set **maxPages** per batch entry and **maxResults** across the run.

### FAQ

#### Is scraping this information legal?

Rules depend on the source, location, data type, and intended use. Check applicable laws and source terms, and make sure your workflow follows privacy and data protection requirements.

#### What limits apply?

Submit up to 100 batch entries per run. Use **maxResults** to cap saved items and **maxPages** to limit pages for each entry. Results also depend on source availability and your Scrappa API plan.

#### Can I start runs through the Apify API?

Yes. Send a POST request to `https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/thescrappa~ebay-search-scraper/runs` with your Actor input, or use an Apify client library. Read the output from the run dataset.

#### Can I connect the results to other tools?

Yes. Apify integrations and APIs can pass dataset results to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, and other data workflows.

#### What happens when one input fails?

The Actor logs a short source error and continues with the remaining entries. Transient rate limits and gateway errors are retried; if every entry fails, the run reports an error.

#### How do I remove sponsored listings?

Every row has a `sponsored` value of true or false. Filter on it in the dataset view, in your export, or in your own code. eBay can show the same sponsored listing twice on one page; the Actor saves each listing only once per keyword.

#### Which eBay site does the Actor search?

It searches eBay.com, the US site. Prices are in US dollars. Items from other countries appear when sellers ship to the US; use `preferred_location` to keep only US or North American items.

#### How do I find a category ID?

Open the category on eBay and copy the number after `_sacat=` in the search URL, or the last number in a category page URL such as https://www.ebay.com/b/Coffee-Tea-Espresso-Makers/38250.
