## Pricing

from $0.20 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Threads User Posts Scraper

Collect recent public posts or replies of Threads accounts with text, like counts, publish times, media links, and permalinks. Each post is one dataset row, so you can sort, filter, and export at once.

### What data can you extract?

| Field | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `code` | String | Short post code used in the public Threads permalink. |
| `pk` | String | Numeric Threads identifier of the post. |
| `username` | String | Threads handle of the account that published the post. |
| `text` | String or null | Text of the post, when the post has a caption. |
| `permalink` | String | Public Threads URL of the post. |
| `taken_at` | Integer | Unix timestamp in seconds when the post was published. |
| `like_count` | Integer | Number of likes reported for the post. |
| `media` | Array\<Object> | Images and videos of the post, one entry per media file with its type and URL. |
| `reposted_post` | Object or null | Original post with author, text, likes and media when this entry is a repost. |
| `input_username` | String | Threads handle from the input that produced this row. |
| `scraped_at` | String | UTC date and time when this record was collected. |

### Use cases

- Social media managers can export the latest posts of competitor accounts with their likes.
- Analysts can track which posts of a creator get the most engagement.
- Researchers can collect public replies of an account to study its conversations.

### How to use

1. Add one Threads handle per entry to `usernames`, without the leading @.
2. Set `postType` to Posts for published posts or Replies for the replies of the account.
3. Use `maxResults` to limit the total number of saved posts.

```json
{
  "usernames": [
    {
      "username": "zuck"
    }
  ],
  "postType": "posts",
  "maxResults": 20
}
```

### Input

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `usernames` | Array\<object> | Yes | Public Threads handles whose posts you want, one per entry. |
| `usernames[].username` | string | Yes per entry | Threads handle without the leading @, for example zuck. |
| `postType` | string | No | Collect the posts an account published, or the replies it wrote with the posts it replied to. |
| `maxResults` | integer | No | Maximum dataset items to save across this entire run. |

### Output example

```json
{
  "code": "DeHarbor001",
  "pk": "4006430000000000001",
  "username": "harbor.bakes",
  "text": "Fresh loaves are out of the oven.",
  "permalink": "https://www.threads.com/@harbor.bakes/post/DeHarbor001",
  "taken_at": 1791824189,
  "like_count": 642,
  "media": [
    {
      "type": "image",
      "url": "https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/v/t51.2885-15/482771001_harbor_loaf_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_e15"
    }
  ],
  "input_username": "zuck",
  "scraped_at": "2026-10-01T12:00:00Z"
}
```

### Pricing

$0.30 per 1,000 results. Apify saves one dataset item per result and applies the Actor’s per-result price to saved items.

Set **maxResults** to cap the number of dataset items saved in one run.

### FAQ

#### Is scraping this information legal?

Rules depend on the source, location, data type, and intended use. Check applicable laws and source terms, and make sure your workflow follows privacy and data protection requirements.

#### What limits apply?

Submit up to 100 batch entries per run. Use **maxResults** to cap saved items. Results also depend on source availability and your Scrappa API plan.

#### Can I start runs through the Apify API?

Yes. Send a POST request to `https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/thescrappa~threads-user-posts-scraper/runs` with your Actor input, or use an Apify client library. Read the output from the run dataset.

#### Can I connect the results to other tools?

Yes. Apify integrations and APIs can pass dataset results to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, and other data workflows.

#### What happens when one input fails?

The Actor logs a short source error and continues with the remaining entries. Transient rate limits and gateway errors are retried; if every entry fails, the run reports an error.

#### How many posts do I get per account?

Threads returns about 50 recent posts or replies per account in one request. Older posts are not available.

#### Why do reply results contain other accounts?

With Replies, Threads returns each reply together with the post it answers. Filter the `username` field to keep only the replies of the account.
