## Pricing

from $2.00 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Unstop Scraper

> Export Unstop hackathons, competitions, quizzes, scholarships, internships and jobs — organiser, prize pool, deadlines, team size, eligibility, skills, salary, registrations and the full description.

### What you get

Unstop, formerly Dare2Compete, is India's largest platform for student competitions, hackathons and campus hiring. This Actor exports any of its sections as structured rows, with or without a search term, for open, closed or all opportunities.

Each row carries the full opportunity: organiser and its Unstop page, online or offline mode and city, registration window and final deadline, team size, who is eligible, the skills and work areas it is tagged with, every prize with its cash value and the total prize pool, any registration fee, and live view and registration counts. Internships and jobs also get salary or stipend as numbers with currency and period, work type and full-time or part-time status. The description comes as clean text and as the original HTML.

### Unstop hackathon and competition data without an account

No Unstop login is needed. The Actor reads the same public listings anyone can browse.

### Input parameters

| Parameter | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `opportunityTypes` | No | Any of `hackathons` (default), `competitions`, `quizzes`, `internships`, `jobs`, `scholarships`, `workshops`, `conferences` |
| `searchTerms` | No | Keywords matched against titles, such as `AI` or `python`; each runs against each type |
| `status` | No | `open` (default) for opportunities still taking registrations, `closed`, or `all` |
| `maxResults` | No | Opportunities saved per type and search term combination; defaults to 10 |

### Unstop data export use cases

- **Students and student communities** can keep a live list of open hackathons and competitions with prize pools and deadlines.
- **Career and edtech apps** can add Unstop internships and campus jobs to their feeds, with stipend and eligibility.
- **Employer branding and campus hiring teams** can see which companies run hiring challenges, at what prize level and with how many registrations.
- **College fest organisers and sponsors** can benchmark prize pools, entry fees and turnout for comparable events.

### Limitations

Search terms are matched by Unstop against titles, so a term finds "Python Developer" but not a listing that mentions Python only in its description. Prize values are whatever the organiser entered; non-cash prizes appear in `other_rewards` and are not counted in `total_prize_cash`. Many jobs do not show a salary, and those leave the salary fields empty with `salary_disclosed` false. Experience ranges are rarely filled by employers. `city` is set only for offline and hybrid events; online events and most jobs leave it empty, and jobs list their cities in `locations` instead. The `all` status includes past opportunities, so it can return several thousand rows per type.

### Compared to alternatives

Other Unstop Actors focus on jobs and internships. This one covers every Unstop section — hackathons, competitions, quizzes, scholarships, workshops and conferences as well as jobs and internships — and returns structured prizes with a computed prize pool, registration fee, team size, eligibility and live registration counts in every row, with the full description included at no extra step.

### FAQ

#### Do I need an Unstop account?

No. Only public listings are read.

#### How do I get only hackathons that are still open?

Leave `opportunityTypes` as `hackathons` and `status` as `open`, which are the defaults.

#### Can I get everything Unstop lists in one run?

Select every type, leave search terms empty and raise `maxResults`. Open opportunities across all sections run to a few thousand rows.

# Actor input Schema

## `opportunityTypes` (type: `array`):

Which Unstop sections to export. Each type runs as its own search.

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

Optional keywords matched against opportunity titles, such as AI, python or marketing. Each term runs against each type. Leave empty to list everything.

## `status` (type: `string`):

Open opportunities are still taking registrations. Closed ones have passed their deadline. All returns both, newest first.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Upper limit of opportunities saved for each type and search term combination.
