## Pricing

from $2.00 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## VK Posts Scraper

### What you get

Scrape public VK profile and community posts without a VK login, API key, browser, or proxy. Export clean post rows with text, authors, dates, reactions, comments, reposts, views, media metadata, and stable source URLs.

The Actor reads VK's server-rendered structured post payloads over HTTP. That keeps runs fast and inexpensive while avoiding brittle scraping of localized button labels.

### Quick start

Use a handle, public profile/community URL, wall URL, or direct post URL:

```json
{
  "targets": ["durov", "https://vk.com/wall1_2442097"],
  "maxPostsPerTarget": 20,
  "maxTotalPosts": 40
}
```

No cookies, credentials, API token, residential proxy, or browser setup is required.

### Inputs

| Input | What it controls | Default |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `targets` | Public VK handles, profiles, communities, walls, and direct post URLs | `durov` |
| `maxPostsPerTarget` | Maximum eligible posts saved from each target | `20` |
| `maxTotalPosts` | Global result cap across the run | `100` |
| `publishedAfter` | Inclusive lower publication-date bound | none |
| `publishedBefore` | Inclusive upper publication-date bound | none |
| `includeReposts` | Include posts with copy history | `true` |
| `includePinned` | Include pinned posts | `true` |
| `maxPagesPerTarget` | Historical-pagination safety cap; about 20 posts/page | `25` |

Supported target examples:

- `durov`
- `club22822305`
- `https://vk.com/durov`
- `https://vk.com/wall1?own=1`
- `https://vk.com/wall-22822305`
- `https://vk.com/wall1_2442097`

### Output

Each eligible public post is one dataset row and one billable result:

```json
{
  "recordType": "vk_post",
  "target": "durov",
  "targetType": "profile",
  "ownerId": 1,
  "postId": 2442097,
  "sourceUrl": "https://vk.com/wall1_2442097",
  "text": "...",
  "postedAt": "2018-05-08T18:59:24Z",
  "editedAt": "2018-05-08T21:10:26Z",
  "isPinned": false,
  "author": {
    "id": 1,
    "name": "Pavel Durov",
    "screenName": "durov",
    "profileUrl": "https://vk.com/durov",
    "photoUrl": "https://...",
    "verified": true
  },
  "engagement": {
    "likesCount": 242724,
    "commentsCount": 0,
    "repostsCount": 14837,
    "viewsCount": 15729030,
    "reactions": []
  },
  "media": [],
  "mediaTypes": [],
  "repost": null,
  "scrapedAt": "2026-08-12T00:00:00Z"
}
```

Top-level `authorName`, `likesCount`, `commentsCount`, `repostsCount`, and `viewsCount` fields are also included for convenient spreadsheet exports. The nested objects retain richer structured data.

### Common workflows

- Monitor brand or community announcements on scheduled runs.
- Compare engagement across public profiles and communities.
- Archive public posts and media metadata for research.
- Track a date-bounded campaign or news event.
- Feed public VK content into dashboards, warehouses, or alerting workflows.

Deduplication uses VK's stable `(ownerId, postId)` pair. If multiple inputs find the same post, it is saved and charged once per run.

### Limitations and troubleshooting

- Public pages only. Private, deleted, age-gated, login-only, or geographically unavailable content is not bypassed.
- VK can expose different fields for different post and attachment types; absent source fields remain `null` or empty.
- Direct URLs work only while VK continues to expose the public post.
- Very old history requires more wall pages. Increase `maxPagesPerTarget` carefully and use `publishedAfter` to stop early.
- An empty dataset usually means the target is private/unavailable, no post matched the date or repost filters, or VK exposed no anonymous public wall payload.
- Use Apify schedules for monitoring and compare `postId` plus engagement counts across runs.

This Actor collects public data only. Use the output lawfully and respect privacy, data-protection, and platform requirements that apply to your use case.

### Use cases

- Marketers monitoring social presence and engagement
- Researchers building social-media datasets
- Teams tracking public figures and trends

# Actor input Schema

## `targets` (type: `array`):

Public VK community URLs, handles (club12345 or @name), or wall links — one per line.

## `maxPostsPerTarget` (type: `integer`):

Stop after saving this many unique posts from each profile, community, wall, or direct post target.

## `maxTotalPosts` (type: `integer`):

Global safety limit across every submitted target.

## `publishedAfter` (type: `string`):

Optional inclusive lower date bound. Pagination stops once a wall is older than this date.

## `publishedBefore` (type: `string`):

Optional inclusive upper date bound.

## `includeReposts` (type: `boolean`):

When disabled, posts containing VK copy history are skipped rather than charged.

## `includePinned` (type: `boolean`):

When disabled, pinned wall posts are skipped rather than charged.

## `maxPagesPerTarget` (type: `integer`):

Safety limit for historical pagination. Each public wall page normally contains up to 20 posts.
