## Pricing

from $0.11 / 1,000 image saveds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Bulk Image Downloader & Scraper: All Images from Web Pages, ZIP

Download **all images from a list of web pages** in one run and get each file with a direct link, or everything in **one ZIP**.

The Actor finds more than a simple "save images" tool:

- `<img>` images, in the **largest size** offered by `srcset`
- **Lazy-loaded** images (`data-src`, `data-lazy-src`, `data-original` and similar)
- `<picture>` sources (often WebP or AVIF versions)
- **Linked full-size images**: galleries that link a thumbnail to the big file
- **Open Graph and Twitter images** (the preview image of the page)
- Optional: **CSS background images** and **icons** (favicons, touch icons)

Then it cleans up:

- ✅ **Duplicates skipped**, also when the same image has different URLs
- ✅ **Filters**: minimum width and height (no icons, no tracking pixels), only certain formats
- ✅ **Convert** to WebP, JPEG, PNG or AVIF and **scale down** to a max width, or keep the originals
- ✅ **Alt text and page** kept with every image, for SEO audits and datasets
- ✅ robots.txt respected for pages and images

### Use cases

- **Product images** for your own shop from a supplier's pages you have the rights to
- **SEO and accessibility audits**: all images of a site with size, format and alt text
- **Datasets** for machine learning from openly licensed sources
- **Website migrations and backups**

### Input example

```json
{
    "startUrls": ["https://books.toscrape.com/", "https://books.toscrape.com/catalogue/page-2.html"],
    "minWidth": 100,
    "zip": true
}
```

Convert everything to WebP, at most 1600 px wide:

```json
{
    "startUrls": ["https://example.com/gallery"],
    "convertTo": "webp",
    "maxWidth": 1600
}
```

### Output example

Real output from a test run:

```json
{
    "pageUrl": "https://books.toscrape.com/catalogue/page-2.html",
    "imageUrl": "https://books.toscrape.com/media/cache/5c/c8/5cc8e107246cb478960d4f0aba1e1c8e.jpg",
    "alt": "How Music Works",
    "source": "img",
    "fileName": "5cc8e107246cb478960d4f0aba1e1c8e.jpg",
    "outputUrl": "https://api.apify.com/v2/key-value-stores/…/records/5cc8e107246cb478960d4f0aba1e1c8e.jpg",
    "format": "jpeg",
    "width": 121,
    "height": 155,
    "bytes": 5639
}
```

In the test, 40 images from 2 pages took 4 seconds. `OUTPUT` in the key-value store has the totals (found, saved, skipped, failed), the ZIP link and every page with its status.

### Pricing

One event per saved image. Skipped images (duplicates, too small, other formats) and failed downloads are free.

Paid Apify plans pay less: 10% off on Starter, 20% on Scale and 30% on Business and higher plans.

### FAQ

**Images that appear only after scrolling in a browser?** The Actor reads the page HTML, which includes the lazy-load attributes of most sites. Images that are created only by JavaScript are not found.

**Can I download a whole website?** Give the pages as a list, for example from our Sitemap Extractor.

**Copyright?** Images belong to their owners. Use this Actor for your own sites, openly licensed images or images you have the right to use.
