## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Jobs Scraper: All Jobs from Workday Career Sites

Get **every open job from any Workday career site**. Thousands of large employers (NVIDIA, Intel, Salesforce, Adobe and many Fortune 500 companies) publish their jobs on `myworkdayjobs.com`. This Actor reads those career sites the way your browser does and returns one clean record per job.

- ✅ **Complete**: Workday shows at most 2,000 jobs per search; the Actor splits big sites by job category or location and reads **all** jobs (2,707 of 2,707 in our NVIDIA test)
- ✅ **Rich data**: title, all locations, country code, remote/hybrid/onsite, time type, exact posting date, legal entity, full description as text
- ✅ **Pay ranges**: salary ranges that companies write into the description (US pay-transparency laws) as min, max, currency and interval
- ✅ **Filters that use Workday itself**: search text, locations and job categories run on the career site, so a filtered run reads only what you need
- ✅ **Job alerts**: with **Only new** and a schedule each run returns only jobs it has not returned before
- ✅ **Clean**: robots.txt respected, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and the names of contact persons in descriptions removed

### Use cases

- **Job boards and aggregators**: keep enterprise jobs fresh with a daily schedule
- **Sales and market intelligence**: which large companies are hiring which roles, where; hiring as a buying signal
- **Salary research**: published pay ranges by role and location
- **Recruiters and job seekers**: alerts for new roles at target companies

### Input examples

All jobs in Germany posted in the last 30 days, from two companies:

```json
{
    "careerSiteUrls": [
        "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
        "https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/External_Career_Site"
    ],
    "locations": ["Germany"],
    "postedWithinDays": 30
}
```

Daily alert for new software engineering jobs:

```json
{
    "careerSiteUrls": ["https://intel.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/External"],
    "searchText": "software",
    "jobCategories": ["Engineering"],
    "onlyNew": true
}
```

**Where do I find the URL?** Open the company's job page and click any job: if the address contains `myworkdayjobs.com` (or `myworkdaysite.com/recruiting/...`), copy it. Any page of the site works, the Actor finds the site name itself.

### Output example

Real output from a test run (description left out):

```json
{
    "title": "Software Development Engineer",
    "company": "Intel",
    "jobId": "JR0282484",
    "location": "US, California, Folsom",
    "locations": ["US, California, Folsom", "US, Oregon, Hillsboro", "US, California, Santa Clara", "US, Arizona, Phoenix"],
    "country": "US",
    "workplaceType": null,
    "remote": null,
    "employmentType": "Full time",
    "salary": {
        "min": 100550,
        "max": 194270,
        "currency": "USD",
        "interval": "year",
        "text": "Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $100,550.00-194,270.00 USD"
    },
    "postedAt": "2026-09-11T00:00:00.000Z",
    "jobUrl": "https://intel.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/External/job/US-California-Folsom/Software-Development-Engineer_JR0282484",
    "applyUrl": "https://intel.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/External/job/US-California-Folsom/Software-Development-Engineer_JR0282484/apply",
    "subcompany": "100 Intel Corporation",
    "careerSite": "https://intel.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/External",
    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-21T00:36:59.408Z"
}
```

`OUTPUT` in the key-value store lists per site how many jobs were listed, matched, skipped as already seen and returned.

### Pricing

A fixed price per returned job. Filters run before billing. In our tests 2,707 jobs with full descriptions took about 7 minutes; filtered runs take seconds.

### FAQ

**What do the locations match?** The site's own location names (countries, regions, cities, sites), for example `Germany`, `Munich` or `US, California`. A job matches if any of its locations matches any of yours. `Remote` keeps remote jobs only.

**Job categories?** Each site has its own (job families such as Engineering, Sales). Give a wrong name and the run tells you the site's categories.

**Why is a pay range missing?** Only some companies publish pay ranges, mostly for US jobs.

**Other job boards?** For Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Oracle, BambooHR, Rippling, Teamtailor, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Personio, Pinpoint, Breezy HR and d.vinci use our Career Site Jobs Actor; it reads Workday too.

**Is it legal?** The Actor reads only the public job data that the company publishes so its jobs can be found on its Workday career site, and it respects the site's robots.txt. Recruiters' direct emails, phone numbers and names are removed from the descriptions. The ad texts belong to the employers: use them to find, filter and link jobs, not to republish them as your own content. You are responsible for how you use the data. If in doubt, ask a lawyer.

# Actor input Schema

## `careerSiteUrls` (type: `array`):

Career site links like https://company.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/Careers (any page of the site works, also job links and myworkdaysite.com/recruiting/... sites).

## `searchText` (type: `string`):

Workday's own job search (titles and descriptions), for example: data engineer.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Countries, cities or sites as the career site names them, for example Germany, Munich. A job matches any of them. 'Remote' keeps remote jobs only.

## `jobCategories` (type: `array`):

The site's own categories (job family), for example Engineering, Sales. An unknown name stops with the list of the site's categories.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words, for example Intern, Senior Director.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep jobs with a remote location.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep jobs posted at most this many days ago.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Job description as plain text. Turn off for smaller results; dates, places and pay ranges are still read.

## `maxJobsPerSite` (type: `integer`):

0 means all.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

For job alerts with a schedule: remembers the returned jobs per site and search (key-value store 'workday-jobs-monitor-state') and returns only new ones.
