## Pricing

from $0.24 / 1,000 messages

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ✈️ Telegram Channel Scraper — Posts, Views, Reactions & Media

Scrape **public Telegram channels**: every post's **text, date, views, reactions, links, photos, videos and forwards**, plus a **channel info** row with **title, description and subscribers**. Paste `@names` or `t.me` links, take the newest N posts or everything from the last N days.

**$0.30 per 1,000 messages.** Channel info rows are free. No Telegram account, no API key, no phone number.

- ✅ **Any public channel** with web preview (`t.me/s/…`)
- ✅ **Post data**: text (with line breaks), date (ISO), **views**, **reactions** (each emoji + total), forwarded-from, links, photo and video URLs, documents flag, edited flag
- ✅ **Channel data**: title, description, **subscribers**, number of photos, videos, links and files, avatar, verified badge
- ✅ **Full history**: pages back through older posts automatically
- ✅ **Date filter**: only posts from the last N days — perfect for daily monitoring

### Who uses it

- **Crypto, trading & news monitoring** — collect signals and announcements from many channels into one table.
- **Marketers** — benchmark channels: posting frequency, views and reactions per post.
- **Researchers & OSINT** — archive public channels for analysis.
- **AI builders** — feed channel posts to an LLM for summaries, alerts or sentiment.

### How to use it

1. **Public channels**: one per line — `@durov`, `telegram`, `https://t.me/somechannel`.
2. **Max messages per channel** (newest first) and optionally **only the last N days**.
3. Run and export to CSV, Excel, JSON or HTML, or schedule it and send new posts to Slack, email or a webhook.

### Output example

```json
{
  "type": "message",
  "channel": "durov",
  "messageId": 552,
  "url": "https://t.me/durov/552",
  "date": "2026-10-11T14:52:40+00:00",
  "text": "✨ Designers × AI\n\n🆕 The mockup era is over…",
  "views": 1180000,
  "reactions": [{ "emoji": "⭐ stars", "count": 6300 }, { "emoji": "custom:5265077361648368841", "count": 54600 }],
  "totalReactions": 60900,
  "forwardedFrom": null,
  "photos": ["https://cdn4.telesco.pe/file/…"],
  "videos": [],
  "links": ["https://t.me/designers"],
  "hasDocument": false,
  "edited": false
}
```

Channel rows have `"type": "channel"` with `title`, `description`, `subscribers`, `photos`, `videos`, `links`, `files`, `avatar` and `verified`.

### Analyze the results with AI

Make sense of the messages with [Bulk ChatGPT & Claude for Datasets](https://apify.com/tidydata/ai-dataset-enricher): **translate** them, **summarize** long posts or **classify** them by topic or sentiment.

Run it as an **integration**: in this Actor's *Integrations* tab add **Bulk ChatGPT & Claude** and set its datasets to `{{resource.defaultDatasetId}}`, so every run is analyzed automatically. No API key needed.

### Pricing

**$0.0003 per message ($0.30 per 1,000).** Channel info rows, private or missing channels are free. Higher Apify plans get an automatic discount. Set a **maximum cost per run** to stay in control.

### FAQ

**Can it read private channels or groups?**
No — only public channels that Telegram shows on the web (`https://t.me/s/<name>`). Groups and private channels need a logged-in account, which this Actor doesn't use.

**Why are view and reaction numbers rounded?**
Telegram's web preview shows them rounded (1.18M, 54.6K); they are converted to numbers.

**What are "custom:" reactions?**
Custom (premium) emoji reactions are identified by their ID; standard emoji are returned as the emoji itself; paid star reactions as "⭐ stars".

**Is it legal?**
The Actor reads only what Telegram publishes on the open web for public channels. Respect the channel owners' rights and privacy laws when you reuse the content.

Something doesn't work? Open an issue in the **Issues** tab with the channel name — we answer fast.
