## Pricing

from $1.20 / 1,000 venue scrapeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Eventective Scraper: Event Venues, Capacity & Prices

Get **event venues and event vendors from Eventective** as structured data: **name, street address, latitude/longitude, venue types, guest capacity (min/max), price ranges and per-package prices, amenities, features, recommendations, photos, website, phone and social links**. Search any US or Canadian city in **party & event venues, wedding venues, meeting venues**, or vendor directories like **caterers, DJs, photographers and event planners**.

**No login needed.** A 50-venue run takes about two minutes. **$2.00 per 1,000 listings on the Free plan, down to $1.20 on Gold**, with all detail-page fields included in that price.

### What you can do with it

- **Venue sourcing for events:** shortlist every venue in a city that holds 200+ guests, with prices and packages side by side.
- **Event-industry lead lists:** venues and vendors (caterers, DJs, photographers, planners) with website, business phone and social links.
- **Maps and local directories:** coordinates, neighborhoods and venue types for every listing, ready to plot.
- **Market and pricing research:** compare price ranges, price units (per event, per person, per wedding) and capacities across cities.
- **Data enrichment:** join venue names to your own registry by coordinates and website.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `cities` | Cities with a state/province code: `San Francisco, CA`, `Austin, TX`, `Toronto, ON` (or the slug `san-francisco-ca`). |
| `categories` | Directories to read per city: `party-event-venues` (default), `wedding-venues`, `meeting-venues`, `caterers`, `photographers`, `djs`, `videographers`, `live-music`, `entertainers`, `party-rentals`, `av-rental`, `limos`, `officiants`, `event-staffing-services`, `event-planners`, `florists`. |
| `startUrls` | Instead, paste Eventective directory URLs (`https://www.eventective.com/san-francisco-ca/party-event-venues/`) or single listing URLs (`...-669845.html`). |
| `includeDetails` | Default on. Opens each listing's page for address, lat/lon, packages, amenities, features, recommendations, all photos, website and phone. Off = card data only, faster. |
| `includeNearby` | Default on. Eventective appends nearby-city listings after the city's own; they are flagged `isNearby`. Off = only the searched city. |
| `minCapacity` | Keep only venues that hold at least this many guests. |
| `onlyWithPrice` | Drop listings that show no price. |
| `keywords` | Keep a listing only if its text mentions one of these (`rooftop`, `outdoor`, `loft`...). |
| `maxItems` | Hard cap on results (and cost), shared fairly across your city x category searches. |
| `maxPagesPerSearch` | Each directory page holds up to 60 listings; cap pages per city/category. |

Example:

```json
{ "cities": ["San Francisco, CA", "Oakland, CA"], "categories": ["party-event-venues", "wedding-venues"], "minCapacity": 150, "maxItems": 200 }
```

```
`capacity` is the number shown on the directory card; `minCapacity`/`maxCapacity` combine it with the guest ranges of every package and the listing's "Max Number of People" feature. Eventective does not separate seated from standing capacity. With `includeDetails` off, address, coordinates, packages, amenities, website and recommendations are `null`. Basic (free-tier) vendor listings carry less data: often just name, city, phone and a short description.
### How to use
1. Enter one or more cities with their state code and pick the categories (or paste Eventective URLs).
2. Set `maxItems` and any filters (`minCapacity`, `keywords`, `onlyWithPrice`).
3. Run, then download the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or connect it to Sheets, Make, Zapier or your own code through the Apify API.
### Pricing
Pay per result (`venue-scraped`): **$2.00 per 1,000 listings on the Free plan, $1.80 Bronze, $1.50 Silver, $1.20 Gold and up**, no start fee. Detail-page fields cost nothing extra. Filters and `maxItems` apply before you are charged. A run that finds nothing (misspelled city, wrong state code) fails with a clear message instead of returning an empty dataset.
### Limits and notes
- Only the public directory pages (`/<city-st>/<category>/`) and listing pages are read; nothing behind a login, no contact forms, no availability calendars. Requests are sequential with a pause between them, so very large runs (thousands of listings) take a while: roughly 1.5 seconds per listing with details on.
- Phone numbers and websites are the businesses' own published contact details. No personal data about reviewers is collected (Eventective shows recommendations as "An Eventective User").
- Eventective's listing content belongs to Eventective and the listed businesses; check their terms before republishing it.
- Results reflect Eventective's own ordering (featured listings first) and may include nearby-city listings (see `includeNearby`).
# Actor input Schema
## `cities` (type: `array`):
US or Canadian cities with a state/province code, one per line, e.g. 'San Francisco, CA' or 'Toronto, ON' (or the URL slug 'san-francisco-ca'). Each city is searched in every category below.
## `categories` (type: `array`):
Which Eventective directories to read for each city. Default: Party & Event Venues.
## `startUrls` (type: `array`):
Alternatively paste Eventective city/category listing pages (https://www.eventective.com/san-francisco-ca/party-event-venues/) or single listing pages (...-669845.html).
## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):
On: one extra request per listing adds street address, coordinates, guest-count packages with prices, venue types, amenities, features, recommendations, all photos, website, phone and social links. Off: faster, card data only (name, city, capacity, price text, photos). Same price either way.
## `includeNearby` (type: `boolean`):
Eventective appends listings from nearby cities after the city's own. Off = only listings located in the searched city (they are flagged isNearby either way).
## `minCapacity` (type: `integer`):
Keep only venues that can hold at least this many guests (venues with no stated capacity are dropped when this is set).
## `onlyWithPrice` (type: `boolean`):
Drop listings that show no price ("request pricing" only).
## `keywords` (type: `array`):
Keep a listing only if its text contains one of these (e.g. 'rooftop', 'outdoor', 'loft'). Empty = all.
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Hard cap on results for the whole run (also caps your cost), shared fairly across your city x category searches. 0 or empty = no limit.
## `maxPagesPerSearch` (type: `integer`):
Each page holds up to 60 listings. 0 or empty = all pages.
