## Pricing

from $1.80 / 1,000 venue scrapeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## The Vendry Venues Scraper: Event Spaces by City

Pull every **event venue** The Vendry lists for a city: name, address and map coordinates, **capacity** (seated and standing, per room), **square footage**, website, phone, booking link, catering and bar options, pricing notes and room descriptions. Reads the site's own public pages, no login and no proxy. Built for **venue directories, event-planner lead lists and "book a space" sites**.

### What you can do with it

- **Seed a venue directory:** every listed space in a city with coordinates and capacity.
- **Build event-planner lead lists:** filter by minimum capacity and keywords like `rooftop`, `gallery` or `wedding`.
- **Track supply:** re-run monthly and diff the listings per neighborhood.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `queries` | Cities, one per line: `San Francisco, CA` or a `thevendry.com/venues/search/usa/ca/san-francisco` link. |
| `minCapacity` | Keep venues whose largest room holds at least this many guests. |
| `keywords` | Keep venues containing any of these words. |
| `includeEmails` | Add the public booking email when listed (off by default). |
| `maxItems` | Hard cap on results (and cost), shared fairly across your cities. |

Example:

```json
{ "queries": ["San Francisco, CA"], "minCapacity": 100, "maxItems": 200 }
```

### Output

One item per venue:

```json
{ "id": 427, "name": "The Mint San Francisco", "city": "San Francisco", "state": "CA", "lat": 37.78, "lng": -122.40,
  "maxSeatedCapacity": 600, "maxStandingCapacity": 1000, "website": "http://...", "spaces": [{"name": "...", "seatingCapacity": 300}] }
```

### Pricing

Pay per result (`venue-scraped`): **$3.00 per 1,000 venues on the Free plan, $2.70 Bronze, $2.30 Silver, $1.80 Gold and up.** Filters and caps apply before you are charged.
A run fails, instead of returning an empty dataset, when nothing matches or the site's pages stop parsing.

### Limits and notes

- A large city holds about 2,000 venues. The run reads one page per venue at roughly two pages a second, so allow about 20 minutes.
- Coverage is what The Vendry lists publicly; unpublished venues are not included.
- Public pages only. It uses the site's published sitemap and venue pages and avoids the paths its robots.txt disallows (`/api/`, `/v/`). Not affiliated with The Vendry.

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

One city per line: `San Francisco, CA` or a thevendry.com `/venues/search/usa/<state>/<city>` link. Every listed venue in the city is returned (a big city is ~2,000 venues, about 20 minutes).

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep a venue only if it contains one of these. Empty = all.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap on results for the whole run (also caps your cost), shared fairly across your cities: a small city's unused share goes to the bigger ones. 0 or empty = no limit.

## `minCapacity` (type: `integer`):

Keep venues whose largest room holds at least this many guests (seated or standing). 0 = all.

## `includeEmails` (type: `boolean`):

Add the venue's public booking email when listed. Off by default.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "queries": [
    "San Francisco, CA"
  ],
  "maxItems": 50,
  "includeEmails": false
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `venues` (type: `string`):

One item per venue.

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "queries": [
        "San Francisco, CA"
    ],
    "maxItems": 50
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("tidyharvest/vendry-venues-scraper").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
