## Pricing

from $0.15 / 1,000 reviews

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## App Store Reviews Scraper: Full Review History

Extract Apple App Store reviews for any iOS app in any country: star rating, title, review text,
date, edited flag and reviewer nickname. Unlike RSS-based scrapers, it is **not capped at 500
reviews**: get an app's full review history. Export to JSON, CSV or Excel, or call it from your
code, Make, Zapier, n8n, or an AI agent via MCP.

### Why this scraper

| | This Actor | Typical RSS-based scrapers |
|---|---|---|
| Reviews per app per country | Full history (tested past 1,200; limited only by Max reviews) | 500 max |
| Input | App Store URL, numeric id **or bundle id** | Usually id only |
| Many apps × many countries in one run | Yes | Often one |
| New reviews only (monitoring) | `Since date` | No |
| App not sold in a country | Skipped and named in the run status; the run keeps going | Often crashes the run |
| Hit a limit or a block | Says so in the run status; never silently short | Often returns fewer items without saying why |

### How much does it cost?

Pay only for reviews delivered: **$0.25 per 1,000 reviews** plus $0.003 per run.
Example: the last 1,000 US reviews of one app ≈ **$0.25**. A daily monitoring run that finds 30
new reviews ≈ **$0.01**. Apify's free plan credits cover a first test.

Set **Max reviews per app** to cap what you spend; the run also stops cleanly at the maximum total
charge you set for a run.

### How to use it

1. Add one or more apps: paste App Store URLs, numeric ids (`324684580`) or bundle ids
   (`com.spotify.client`).
2. Pick countries (`us`, `gb`, `de`...). Reviews are per country.
3. Set **Max reviews per app and country**, and optionally **Sort by** and **Since date**.
4. Run, then download the dataset in the format you need.

**Monitoring:** schedule a daily run with Sort by = Most recent and Since date = yesterday to get
only new reviews.

**API:** `POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/tidyscrape~app-store-reviews-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items`
with your input as JSON, for example:

```json
{ "apps": ["com.spotify.client"], "countries": ["us", "gb"], "maxReviewsPerApp": 500, "sort": "recent" }
```

**AI agents:** available through the Apify MCP server. Input and output fields are fully described.

### Use cases

- **Product and UX research:** mine complaints and feature requests from 1-star and 2-star reviews.
- **Competitor tracking:** compare how users rate rival apps across countries.
- **Sentiment and topic analysis:** feed full review history into an LLM or BI tool.
- **Review monitoring and alerts:** daily new reviews into Slack, a sheet or a ticketing tool.

### FAQ

**Is it legal to scrape App Store reviews?** This Actor only collects reviews that Apple shows
publicly on the App Store website, without logging in. Reviews include the reviewer's chosen
nickname, which can be personal data; turn off **Include reviewer nicknames** if you do not need
it. You are responsible for using the data lawfully (e.g. GDPR/CCPA). Not for FCRA purposes. This
Actor is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.

**Why do I get different reviews per country?** The App Store keeps separate reviews per country
storefront. Add every country you care about.

**Does it include the app version or developer replies?** Not yet: Apple's web App Store does not
expose them for reviews. Open an Issue if you need them.

**How fresh is the data?** Collected live from the App Store on every run.

**Something broke or a field is missing?** Open an Issue. We usually respond within a day.

# Actor input Schema

## `apps` (type: `array`):

Apps to get reviews for. Each entry can be an App Store URL (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/spotify-music-and-podcasts/id324684580), a numeric app id (324684580) or a bundle id (com.spotify.client).

## `countries` (type: `array`):

App Store countries as 2-letter codes (us, gb, de, jp...). Reviews are per country: each app is scraped once per country listed.

## `maxReviewsPerApp` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many reviews for each app in each country. There is no 500-review cap: use a large number to get the full history. You pay per review, so this also caps cost.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

"recent" = newest first (use with Since date for monitoring). "helpful" = most helpful first.

## `sinceDate` (type: `string`):

Only return reviews posted on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD). Ideal for scheduled runs that fetch only new reviews. Requires Sort by = Most recent.

## `includeReviewerNames` (type: `boolean`):

Include the reviewer's App Store nickname. Turn off if you do not need personal data.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Fallback proxy. Requests go direct first (fastest); if the App Store starts rate-limiting, the rest of the run goes through this proxy with a fresh IP per retry. The default (Apify datacenter proxy) works.
