## Pricing

from $0.80 / 1,000 apps

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google Play Scraper: App Details, Installs, Ratings & Search

Scrape Google Play app details for any Android app: **installs (bracket and exact count), rating,
rating count and the 1-5 star histogram**, price, in-app purchases, ads, category, version, last
update, what's new, developer website and support email, and more. Look up apps by URL or package
name, or **search Google Play by keyword** and get full details for each result in search order.
Export to JSON, CSV or Excel, or call it from your code, Make, Zapier, n8n, or an AI agent via MCP.

### What data can you get?

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `name` / `developer` | Spotify: Music and Podcasts / Spotify AB |
| `installs` / `realInstalls` | 1,000,000,000+ / 3,135,692,442 |
| `rating` / `ratingCount` / `reviewCount` | 4.35 / 36,391,829 / 1,854,499 |
| `ratingHistogram` | 1★ 3,699,375 … 5★ 27,213,080 |
| `category` / `contentRating` | Music & Audio / Teen |
| `updated` | 2026-09-25T08:00:14.000Z |
| `developerWebsite` / `developerEmail` | https://www.spotify.com / support@spotify.com |
| `searchRank` | position in Google Play search (search results only) |

Also: summary, full description, what's new, price and currency, in-app purchase range, ads flag,
minimum Android version, release date, icon, feature graphic, screenshots, promo video and privacy
policy link.

### How much does it cost?

**$1.50 per 1,000 apps** plus $0.003 per run. Example: details for 200 competitor apps ≈ **$0.30**;
the top 30 search results for 10 keywords ≈ **$0.45**. Apify's free plan credits cover a first test.

### How to use it

1. Add **Apps** (Google Play URLs or package names like `com.spotify.music`) and/or **Search terms**.
2. Optionally set **Country** (price, currency, availability) and **Language** (texts).
3. Run, then download the dataset.

**API:** `POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/tidyscrape~google-play-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items`

```json
{ "searchTerms": ["meditation", "habit tracker"], "country": "us", "language": "en" }
```

**AI agents:** available through the Apify MCP server with fully described inputs and outputs.

**Need reviews too?** Use our [Google Play Reviews Scraper](https://apify.com/tidyscrape/google-play-reviews-scraper).

### Use cases

- **Market research:** installs, ratings and update cadence for every app in a niche.
- **App store optimization (ASO):** track your search rank for keywords over time.
- **Monitoring:** schedule runs to build a history of installs, ratings and versions.
- **B2B lead lists:** app developers, their websites and public support emails by category.

### FAQ

**Is it legal?** This Actor collects public Google Play listing data without logging in. Developer
contact fields are the public support details developers publish on Google Play; use them lawfully
(e.g. GDPR/CAN-SPAM). We do not collect developers' postal addresses or phone numbers. Not
affiliated with Google.

**Why is `version` null for big apps?** Google shows "Varies with device" for apps with several builds.

**Why at most 30 search results?** That is what Google Play shows for a search.

**Something broke or a field is missing?** Open an Issue. We usually respond within a day.

### Changelog

- 2026-09-29: first release.

# Actor input Schema

## `apps` (type: `array`):

Apps to get details for: Google Play URLs (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music) or package names (com.spotify.music).

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

Keywords to search Google Play for, e.g. "meditation". Returns the apps in Google Play search order with their rank (searchRank), with full details.

## `maxAppsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

How many search results to return per search term (Google Play shows up to 30).

## `country` (type: `string`):

2-letter Google Play country (us, gb, de, in...). Affects price, currency and availability.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language of the texts (description, what's new), e.g. "en", "de", "pt-BR".

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Fallback proxy. Requests go direct first (fastest); if Google Play starts blocking, the rest of the run goes through this proxy.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "apps": [
    "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music"
  ],
  "maxAppsPerSearch": 30,
  "language": "en",
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
