## Pricing

from $1.60 / 1,000 processed websites

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google Maps Email Extractor

### What does Google Maps Email Extractor do?

Turn Google Maps place results into one contact row per business for a CRM. Every source place gets a row, including places without a listed website. This Actor reads an existing Google Maps Scraper dataset or a pasted export; it does not scrape Google Maps.

### How to use

1. Run a [Google Maps Scraper](https://apify.com/compass/crawler-google-places) for the places you need.
2. Select that run's **dataset ID** in **Google Maps Scraper dataset ID or URL**, then press **Start**. API callers can pass an Apify dataset URL. You can instead paste the Maps export as JSON or CSV.

The dataset ID is shown in the Scraper run's Storage tab. A dataset URL such as `https://api.apify.com/v2/datasets/DATASET_ID/items` also works if your account can read it. A dataset takes precedence over pasted content.

### Input example

Paste a Maps JSON array, or use its dataset ID in the first input field:

```json
[{"title":"Sample Cafe","address":"1 Example Street","categoryName":"Cafe","website":"https://sample.example/","placeId":"ChIJsample"},{"title":"No Website Listed","website":null}]
```

An object with an `items` array also works. For CSV, include a header row with `website` or `Website` and place fields such as `title,address,categoryName,phone,placeId,url`. Quoted commas and line breaks are supported. The default sample has three illustrative places, including one without a website; replace it with your own data.

### Output example

One place row, abbreviated:

```json
{"placeName":"Sample Cafe","address":"1 Example Street","category":"Cafe","website":"https://sample.example/","emails":["hello@sample.example"],"phones":["+1 555 0100"],"socials":{"instagram":"https://instagram.com/sample"},"placeId":"ChIJsample","charged":true}
```

Source columns are retained in `source`; `placeId`, `mapsUrl`, and `sourceIndex` help join the result back to the Maps export. `emails`, `phones`, and `socials` are ready for JSON export; `bestEmail` and `primaryEmail` identify preferred website emails for CSV imports. Rows may finish in a different order when websites run in parallel.

### Pricing

The Actor uses the Website Contact Extractor's `site-processed` event: **$0.002 on Free and Bronze, $0.0018 on Silver, and $0.0016 on Gold and above**. A website is charged once when its own pages yield an email, phone, or social profile. Set **Charge only when** to `email` to charge only websites where an email is found. A phone already present in the Maps listing never triggers a charge. Places without a usable website, unreachable websites, websites without the required contact, and duplicate places sharing a website are free. Each row has `charged`; a free row explains the reason in `errorType` or `note`.

### Limitations

The contact engine checks the business's own home and contact pages. It does not treat a Google Maps or social profile link as the business website. A listed phone may appear in `phones`, but only contact found on the website can make that website chargeable. Website results can be incomplete or stale; verify contacts before use.

### FAQ

**Will a place without a website appear?** Yes. It gets a free row with `errorType: "no_website"`.

**Can I paste a Maps export?** Yes. JSON arrays, JSON objects with `items`, and CSV exports are supported. If a dataset ID is also supplied, the dataset takes precedence.

### Responsible use

Use public business contact data for lawful purposes and follow the source's terms and applicable privacy and outreach rules. This tool does not log in, bypass access controls, or collect private profiles. Do not use it to build lists centered on private individuals.

# Actor input Schema

## `datasetId` (type: `string`):

First run Google Maps Scraper, then select its dataset ID. API callers may also use an Apify dataset URL. This source takes precedence over sample pasted data.

## `mapsData` (type: `string`):

Alternative to a dataset ID. Paste a Maps JSON array or CSV with a website column; the three sample places are illustrative.

## `mapsPlaceRows` (type: `boolean`):

Keep source place details, website, emails, phones and socials in flat CRM columns.

## `requiredContact` (type: `string`):

Choose which results are charged. "any" (default): a website with at least one email, phone number or social profile. "email": only websites where at least one email address is found are charged; websites with only a phone number or social profile are still returned, but free. The price per website is the same in both modes.

## `roleEmailsOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Off (default): every business email published on the website is returned, including addresses that look like a named person (anna.meier@...). On: only shared role mailboxes (info@, contact@, sales@, support@, office@...) are returned and used for billing; personal-looking addresses are dropped before output.

## `maxPagesPerSite` (type: `integer`):

The home page plus likely contact pages (contact, imprint/Impressum, about, team, support, legal). When those show no email, pages left over go to other pages likely to name a mailbox (policies, catering, jobs, locations...). The price per website is the same however many pages are read.

## `siteTimeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):

After this time no further pages of a website are started and the pages read so far are returned (skipped pages are listed in timedOutPages). If even the home page is not read by then, the website fails (not charged).

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many websites are processed at the same time (each reads up to 2 pages at once).

## `httpVia` (type: `string`):

Some sites block requests from data centers. Auto retries from a second network before falling back to a real browser. If those routes are refused, Auto also tries our second server (Oracle, different IP) before a real browser.

## `respectRobotsTxt` (type: `boolean`):

Off (default): the websites you list are read even where their robots.txt disallows automated crawlers, as when you open them yourself. Every request still identifies itself as TidyTools; we never log in (sign-in pages are reported as login_required, free), never solve CAPTCHAs and respect Retry-After. On: pages robots.txt disallows for our crawler (TidyToolsContacts) are skipped, and a website whose home page is disallowed is a free robots_disallowed row.

## Actor input object example

  "mapsData": "[{\"title\":\"Sample Shop A\",\"address\":\"Example Street 1\",\"categoryName\":\"Shop\",\"website\":\"https://example.com\"},{\"title\":\"Sample Shop B\",\"address\":\"Example Street 2\",\"website\":\"https://example.org\"},{\"title\":\"Sample Shop C\",\"address\":\"Example Street 3\",\"website\":null}]",
  "mapsPlaceRows": true,
  "requiredContact": "any",
  "roleEmailsOnly": false,
  "maxPagesPerSite": 8,
