## Pricing

from $1.20 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## RedNote (Xiaohongshu) Profile Search Scraper

Search public RedNote or Xiaohongshu profiles by keyword and return account IDs, names, RED IDs, audience summaries, descriptions, images, and profile links.

### The rows

| Field | Contents |
|---|---|
| **`id`** | Profile ID |
| **`name`** | Display name |
| **`red_id`** | Public RED ID |
| **`sub_title`** | Follower summary text as RedNote displays it |
| **`image`** | Profile image |
| **`desc`** | Search-result description |
| **`followed`** | Whether the requesting context follows the profile |
| **`link`** | Public profile link when RedNote provides one |
| **`profile_detail`** | Full profile detail, only present when **`addonProfileDetails`** is on |

The Actor preserves summary text such as `Fans 30.6k` in **`sub_title`**. It doesn't turn that display string into an inferred numeric count.

```json
{
  "id": "5f9fcf8d0000000001007536",
  "name": "Matcha & Co",
  "red_id": "1029380428",
  "sub_title": "Fans 30.6k",
  "desc": "RED ID: 1029380428",
  "followed": false
}
```

### Add full profile detail in the same run

Set **`addonProfileDetails`** to `true` and every row gets a **`profile_detail`** field merged in — the same fields [RedNote Profile Scraper](https://apify.com/thenetaji/rednote-profile-scraper) returns for that account, including **`fans`** and **`follows`**, fetched with one extra request per row instead of a separate run.

```json
{
  "query": "matcha",
  "maxItems": 20,
  "addonProfileDetails": true
}
```

This adds a charged event per enriched row, on top of the per-row result charge. If a profile's detail request fails, the row is still saved without **`profile_detail`** — nothing is skipped and nothing is charged for that row's enrichment.

### Search input

**`query`** is required. **`maxItems`** defaults to `100`; the Store form starts at `20`. Send `0` to keep collecting until RedNote exhausts the search.

```json
{
  "query": "matcha",
  "maxItems": 40
}
```

Pagination ends at your cap, an empty page, no next cursor, or a repeated cursor. Fewer rows than **`maxItems`** means RedNote stopped returning new profile hits.

### Questions

**Do I need a session cookie for profile search?**

No. Login, cookie, and session-token inputs aren't required or accepted.

**How do I get exact follower and following counts for a result?**

Turn on **`addonProfileDetails`** to get **`fans`** and **`follows`** merged into **`profile_detail`** in the same run, or take a result's **`id`** to [RedNote Profile Scraper](https://apify.com/thenetaji/rednote-profile-scraper) separately. Profile search alone only returns RedNote's display summary in **`sub_title`**.

**Can I collect every post from a found account?**

Yes. Send the result ID to [RedNote Profile Posts Scraper](https://apify.com/thenetaji/rednote-profile-posts-scraper), which paginates the public post list.

Looking for content instead of people? [RedNote Post Search Scraper](https://apify.com/thenetaji/rednote-post-search-scraper) searches public posts with type, time, and sort filters.

# Actor input Schema

## `query` (type: `string`):

Words or phrase to search for.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum rows to save. Set 0 to keep collecting until the source is exhausted.

## `addonProfileDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Fetch full profile detail for every profile found. This makes one extra request per profile and adds a charge per enriched row.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "query": "matcha",
  "maxItems": 20,
  "addonProfileDetails": false
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `dataset` (type: `string`):

Dataset containing all scraped data
