## Pricing

from $5.00 / 1,000 company record returneds

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## France Sirene Company Data and MCP Server

Search French companies in the Sirene register and get clean, company-level records in the same format as the sister Actor for UK companies (UK Companies House Company Data and MCP Server). Use it from the Apify console, the API, or as an MCP server for AI agents.

Only company-level data is returned. Sole traders (entrepreneurs individuels), entries that are not publicly disclosed, and all data about directors and other natural persons are left out.

### What you get

Each result is one company:

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `country` | `FR` |
| `registryId` | SIREN number |
| `name`, `legalForm` | Name and legal form code (nature juridique) |
| `status`, `statusRaw` | `active`, `closed` or `other`, plus the original Sirene code |
| `incorporationDate`, `dissolutionDate` | ISO dates |
| `address` | Head office: `line1`, `line2`, `locality`, `region` (department), `postalCode`, `country` |
| `industryCodes` | NAF rev. 2 and NAF 2025 codes |
| `sizeCategory` | `PME`, `ETI` or `GE` when known |
| `source`, `sourceUrl`, `licence`, `sourceDate` | Where the record came from and the retrieval date |
| `changeType`, `contentHash` | `new`, `updated` or `unchanged` since your previous run (see below) |

`retrievedAt` and `schemaVersion` are also present. The same keys are used for the UK, so one pipeline can read both countries.

### Example output

One record from a real run (output shortened: `source`, `sourceUrl`, `licence`, `contentHash`, `retrievedAt` and `schemaVersion` are also returned):

```json
{
  "country": "FR",
  "registryId": "552032534",
  "name": "DANONE",
  "legalForm": "5599",
  "status": "active",
  "statusRaw": "A",
  "incorporationDate": "1955-01-01",
  "dissolutionDate": null,
  "address": { "line1": "59 RUE LA FAYETTE", "line2": null, "locality": "PARIS", "region": "75", "postalCode": "75009", "country": "France" },
  "industryCodes": [{ "scheme": "NAF rev. 2", "code": "70.10Z", "label": null }],
  "sizeCategory": "GE",
  "sourceDate": "2026-10-23",
  "changeType": "new"
}
```

### Example tasks

- List active software companies (NAF `62.01Z`) with a head office in postal code `75009`.
- Look up 100 SIREN numbers and see which companies have closed.
- Run the same filters every week with Only changes switched on and receive only new and changed companies.

### Input

All filters are optional and combined with AND.

- `sirens`: exact 9-digit SIREN numbers
- `query`, `nafCode`, `postalCode`, `department`, `legalForm`, `sizeCategory`
- `status`: `active` (default), `closed` or `any`
- `limit`: maximum number of companies returned (the source allows at most 10 000 results per query)
- `trackChanges` and `onlyChanges`: see below

Example:

```json
{ "nafCode": "62.01Z", "postalCode": "75009", "status": "active", "limit": 100 }
```

### Use as an MCP server

Connect an MCP client to `https://tormanliikenne--fr-sirene.apify.actor/mcp` (Streamable HTTP) with the header `Authorization: Bearer <your Apify API token>`. The tool `search_fr_companies` takes the same filters as the input. Example arguments: `{ "nafCode": "62.01Z", "postalCode": "75009", "limit": 5 }`. Each returned company is one `result` event on your Apify bill, the same as in a normal run. The MCP tool does not do change tracking.

### Change tracking

With Track changes on, the Actor stores a fingerprint of each company it returned in a named key-value store called `change-tracking-fr` in your account, separately for each distinct set of filters. On the next run with the same filters every result is marked `new`, `updated` or `unchanged`. Switch Only changes on to receive and pay for only new and updated companies. The first run returns everything as new. Companies that disappear from the results are not reported.

### Data source and licence

Source: the Sirene register of INSEE, read through the public API https://recherche-entreprises.api.gouv.fr, which documents a limit of 7 calls per second (page https://www.data.gouv.fr/dataservices/api-recherche-dentreprises, read 23 October 2026); the Actor stays under that limit. Data reused under the Licence Ouverte / Open Licence 2.0 (Etalab). The Actor leaves out non-diffusible entries.

Not affiliated with or endorsed by INSEE or the French administration. The API is a public service and may change or be limited without notice. You remain responsible for data protection and other legal requirements in your own use of the data.

### AI disclosure

The code and this description were written with the help of an AI model and checked with automated tests against the live data source.

### Pricing

Pay per event: one `result` event per company returned. The current price is shown on the Pricing tab. Unchanged companies are not returned when Only changes is on.

Questions and bug reports: use the Issues tab. Operated by Törmän Liikenne Oy, Finland.
