## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## YardSmart Junkyard Inventory Scraper – U Pull-It, Rupert's & other YardConnect yards

Many independent self-service junkyards run their yard on **YardSmart** and publish inventory with the **YardConnect** website plugin. This Actor pulls that **live inventory** from one or many of those yards in a single run: **year, make, model, engine, color, body style, yard location & row, date set, and photo** (when the yard uploads one).

Tested yards:

- **U Pull-It Used Auto Parts (Nebraska – Omaha & Lincoln)** – `https://upullitne.com/search-inventory/`
- **Rupert's U-Pull It** – `https://rupertsupullit.com/search-our-inventory/`

Any other yard whose inventory page uses YardConnect should work: paste its inventory page URL. The Actor fails clearly if a page isn't YardConnect.

### Use cases

- Parts pullers: one list of donor cars across several local yards.
- Daily new-arrival alerts with `monitorMode` or `newWithinDays`.
- Track what's entering independent yards in your area.

### Input

| Field | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| siteUrls | `["https://upullitne.com/search-inventory/"]` | Required |
| makes | `["Ford","Toyota"]` | Empty = whole inventory |
| models | `["F-150"]` | Optional exact names |
| yearFrom / yearTo | `2005` | Optional |
| locations | `["Omaha"]` | Optional text match on yard location |
| newWithinDays | `7` | Only cars set in the last N days |
| monitorMode | `true` | Only cars not seen before |

### Example output

```json
{
  "yardLocation": "Lincoln",
  "make": "Toyota",
  "model": "Highlander",
  "modelYear": 2001,
  "color": "RED",
  "bodyStyle": "SUV / MPV",
  "engine": "3.0L 6cyl",
  "row": "YARD 103 5",
  "dateSet": "2026-10-30",
  "stockNumber": "000000016878",
  "imageUrl": "https://api.yardsmartapp.com/rails/active_storage/representations/redi...",
  "daysOnYard": 0,
  "siteName": "U PULL-IT USED AUTO PARTS - Nebraska",
  "sourceUrl": "https://upullitne.com/search-inventory/",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-30T16:56:25.236Z"
}
```

### Notes

- One request per yard per make (the whole matching inventory comes back at once). No browser, no proxy.
- Columns differ a little by yard (some hide color, location or stock number); missing values are `null`. VINs are not published by these yards.
- Public inventory pages only, no login. Not affiliated with YardSmart or any yard.
