## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Hiring Signals to Proposals: job posts into sales leads

**A company posting a job is a company with budget and a problem right now.** Tell this Actor what you sell. It finds companies hiring for a role your agency, AI tool or service can do instead, reads the tasks and salary in each job post, shows which tasks you can cover, compares the cost of hiring vs. your price, finds the company's business email, and writes a **branded one-page proposal** for each company.

- 🎯 **Companies with a live need**: they are paying to fill this role right now
- ✅ **Task-by-task coverage**: "We can cover 6 of the 8 tasks in your job post"
- 💵 **Cost comparison**: posted salary + taxes and benefits vs. your monthly price, with the potential saving
- 📧 **Business email from the company's own website**, mail server checked
- ✍️ **Ready-to-send first email** per company: subject and body built from their own job post (tasks, cost, your offer, demo link, booking link and an opt-out line)
- 📄 **Branded proposal page per company** with your name, logo, colour and booking button
- 🏷️ Works for: AI receptionists and support, AI automation / virtual assistants, paid ads, SEO and content, social media, web development, bookkeeping, recruiting, or your own keywords

### Example (real run, Texas, October 2026; company names hidden)

*Service: AI receptionist / customer support at $1,500/month. 60 LinkedIn job posts, 53 companies, 6 qualified.*

| Company | Hiring | Posted pay (yearly) | Tasks you cover | Potential saving |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A primary-care clinic group | Receptionist | $41,800-50,400 | 5 of 7 | ~$39,600/year |
| An access-control tech company | Customer Care Representative | $37,440-39,520 | 6 of 10 | ~$30,100/year |
| A pest-control company | Customer Service Representative | $33,000-35,000 | 5 of 10 | ~$24,500/year |

Pitch line: *"Saw you're hiring a Receptionist (posted at USD 41,800-50,400 a year); we could take on 5 of the 7 tasks listed in the post for 1,500 a month, starting next week instead of after a hiring process."*

### Where the jobs come from

1. **LinkedIn job posts** (optional, on by default): this Actor runs the public scraper `valig/linkedin-jobs-scraper` on **your own Apify account**; it costs about $0.28 per 1,000 job posts, billed by that Actor.
2. **Official company job boards** (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby): paste company websites or board links; we read their free public job feeds, which often include salary.

### How to use it

1. Choose **what you sell** and enter **your monthly price**.
2. Add **job titles** to search (or leave empty for typical titles), a **location**, and how recent.
3. Optionally paste **company websites or job-board links**.
4. Set **minimum fit score**, **maximum companies** and **maximum proposal pages** (pages go to your best-fit companies first; default 2), add your **branding** (and optionally your service name, an offer line and a demo link for the emails), click **Start**.
5. Download the companies (Excel, CSV, JSON). Each row has the proposal link.

### Output fields

`companyName`, `companyWebsite`, `bestEmail`, `bestEmailType`, `emailDomainAcceptsMail`, `companyLinkedin`, `jobTitle`, `jobUrl`, `jobLocation`, `jobPosted`, `daysOpen`, `jobSource`, `salary` (annual min/max, currency, posted period), `applicants`, `seniority`, `fitScore`, `fitLabel`, `coveragePct`, `tasksCovered`, `tasksTotal`, `tasks` (each with `weCanCover`), `estimatedAnnualHireCost`, `yourAnnualPrice`, `potentialAnnualSaving`, `pitchLine`, `emailSubject`, `emailBody`, `otherOpenRoles`, `proposalUrl`, and (only if you switch it on) `jobPosterName`, `jobPosterProfile`.

### Pricing

Pay per event, no subscription. Companies below your minimum fit score are free.

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Qualified company (job post, tasks covered, cost comparison, pitch, contact) | **$0.05** |
| Proposal page (branded one-page proposal), up to **Maximum proposal pages** | **$0.50** |

Examples:

- **Default run** (10 companies, 2 proposal pages): 10 × $0.05 + 2 × $0.50 = **$1.50**
- 50 companies with 10 proposal pages: **$7.50**

LinkedIn job posts (optional) come from the public scraper `valig/linkedin-jobs-scraper`, run on your own account and billed by that Actor (about $0.28 per 1,000 posts; the default 50 posts cost about $0.01).
Runs are paid from your Apify balance; the free plan's $5 monthly credit covers a few default runs. Use **Maximum cost per run** in the run options to set a hard cap.

### Honest limits

- Task coverage and fit are estimated from the words in the public job post; read the post before you pitch.
- Savings are estimates: taxes and benefits are a share of the posted salary you can change.
- Many large companies don't publish an email on their website; then you get the website and LinkedIn page to contact them another way.

### Good use and privacy

Job posts are public business information. The job poster's name is **off by default**; if you switch it on and contact people in the EU/UK, you need a legitimate business reason, must tell them where you got their details, and must stop when asked (GDPR). Use the results for relevant B2B outreach with a real address and an easy opt-out. This Actor doesn't log in to LinkedIn and doesn't guess personal emails.

### Use it from an AI assistant (MCP)

Add Apify's MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client and this Actor becomes a tool your assistant can run:

```json
{"mcpServers": {"apify": {"url": "https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=translucent_wire/hiring-signals-to-proposals"}}}
```

AI agents without an Apify account can also run it and pay per run in USDC through Apify's x402 support.

### FAQ

**Will the company really save that much?** The comparison uses the salary they posted plus the taxes-and-benefits share you set; it's a conversation starter, not a quote.

**Can I use it for my own service?** Yes: choose "Custom" and list the task words your service covers.

**Are the emails sent for me?** No. You get ready-to-send drafts; read each one and send it yourself, one by one, from your own mailbox.

**Can I run it every week?** Yes, schedule it in Apify to catch new job posts as they appear.
